Smith had no honeymoon at all, cant see Cooper getting one which would be a shame, favouritism for managers.
-
Ok thats something, but he lost that final to Cooper.
-
Which means his EFL win % is even higher than what was posted, the 3 stats clearly show cooper and potter to have the better records. Cooper actually navigated the playoffs, Carlos couldn't reach the final. So not sure why you choosing to use those stats as an argument. They don't favour Carlos.

Interesting when you consider the first 2 have EPL games included in that.

Tough starts can set tone for the season. Definitely want an easy start.
-
Yep I am sure tom knows.
-
The best ones have a plan B, some teams shift their style of play multiple times during a game.
-
I think to the club aka Top, tika taka equals forward thinking, seems obsessed with it.
-
To be fair planning should be before he goes, and it was obvious he was leaving a week or two before then. Its poor organisation to only start the replacement work when the manager leaves.
-
I guess this poll was inevitable as it has dominated a lot of the managerial discussions. I agree with wigston, whilst I find direct football more enjoyable, ultimately my current issue with tika taka is that we dont have the means to supply a squad for it, so if we had a manager who was flexible, played it when its good to play it, but go more hybrid when its not so good to play it, I probably wouldnt have an issue with that providing the decisions were being made correctly, the problems come when the manager is stubborn and puts tika taka above results and pushes players not comfortable with it to play it.

Corberan has no EPL experience and was a shambles in the playoffs. Potter hands down the better choice out of the two.
-
The subject of if he is worth 8 points, to add to that, it wouldn't even be 8 points, as Everton shown if there is 2 punishments in one season, the second one is reduced. So if the EPL found a way to do a points deduction for a breach in our EFL season it should be less than 8 points.
-
Second favourite has already turned us down, what on earth is going on there? O_o
-
I think he is worth more than 8 points.
-
He is worth more to us than he is to Brighton.

If we get Ole it will be because we want a yes man so Top can impose style of play and pick the players.

I think I rather we sell mads than KDH. I think the latter is likely to be more useful in the upcoming seasons. I think mads shot stopping is average, his stand out feature is his possession play, how useful that is to us depends on the next manager and the game he plays.
-
40m is way undervalued. I also agree with jimjams, if we sold him and still failed PSR that would be stupid. Our problem I feel isnt not selling superstars but that we have turned down so many deals for unused squad players, all these add up to a large amount combined especially when factoring in wages. Some of these then left for a free such as soyuncu and praet.

Its a good question, the obligation may only be on the club, in which case I think the player could turn the club down and scupper the transfer, or the obligation may be on the club and the player.

Curious now if Vesty was actually done before Enzo left, just announced later.
-
He is being linked to England and Manchester United as well, it would be a bit crazy if he joined us. I would be ok with the appointment, although I think he is likely harder to get than Moyes. However I do now think the media are throwing darts at a a board for our vacancy, in the past hour I have read we have talked to 12 different managers.
-
Same as mens team I guess, signing players whilst no manager.
-
Having read some more about us needing to sell KDH, its these kind of decisions that lead us to being forced to sell star players, having a second rant here. We have refused more than half a dozen bids in the last 2 years alone for squad players, and then now signing someone on 3 years based on the wishes of a manager who has now left us, whoever is making these decisions is an idiot, sorry. I think Vesty is a good player if used appropriately for his skill set, he was a sweet fit for Enzo, but Enzo is no longer our manager, so the DoF shouldnt have gone ahead with this. Rudkin will look the right fool if the new manager doesnt take a liking to him.
