Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Chrysalis replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
For me, the fact they have bundled all those charges together over so many years is likely already a death nail, dont know what the EPL are thinking there, massively overcomplicating what should be a bunch of separate charges dealt with one at a time. -
Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

It probably falls foul of anti competition rules, but no club has the balls to take it to court, and there may be provisions in the league that will expel a club for trying. -
I think that is a very simplistic way of looking at it, and ignores a few important things. 1 = Enzo's style of football, needs financial backing, only a small set of players are capable of playing it successfully, for this reason it was an odd appointment, he is not the type of manager a broke club would be employing. I dont blame Enzo for this, its an issue with the club management, 2 - I doubt Enzo will be given three years to experiment and get things to work, there is the financial reality facing the club, and the fact that our competitiveness will drop rapidly season by season during the parachute years and the end of it. He is going to have a much harder time getting it to work with a weaker squad. 3 - Enzo started on fire in terms of results, which rightly or wrongly raised expectations, me as an example I like to see momentum and progression from a manager, so if we started poorly and then improved to be in the position we in now, I would be fairly happy, but its gone the opposite way instead. WE also could clearly see his intentions and plans in the early games of the season, it felt organised. Now that feeling has gone, a friend told me after our last game he thinks we just look like an average championship team now, earlier in the season the same friend kept telling me we looked another level compared to the opposition, he was one of Enzo's biggest fans. 4 - The wage budget of this squad compared to teams Pearson managed is on another level, Pearson didnt manage us as a relegated parachute club (at least not in the championship) but instead as an upcoming club, his league one venture I dont remember ever thinking we were lacking conviction in games. We did have a kind of implode season under Pearson, I think the one before we got promoted to the EPL, but by then Pearson had enough in the bank with his previous record with us, and so was given the time. 5 - I do think if we get promoted and Enzo tries to continue this brand of football, we will get absolutely slaughtered in the EPL, I dont remember thinking that about Pearson's brand of football. Kompany with Burnley are suffering as he has been stubborn, Watford fans praised a previous manager who they thought was godly after he got them promoted with a EPL squad, but then realised it was a false dawn when actually up against quality opposition the following season. So if we fail to go up this year, he has kind of made the bed for the criticism due to the lightning start and the 17 point lead we had built up. I have never been convinced by the football except for a few games, but I was letting it slide mostly because of the results. We definitely looked better in the first part of the season compared to the most recent Rodgers seasons but we also have to remember we are an EPL squad who are most weeks playing against championship squads. Now teams no longer fear us, we look far less convincing, and are struggling to get wins. No matter how fancy the football may be, one thing is always king in football, and that is the results. The best way Enzo can get people onboard with his ideas now is to win games, and get us promoted, even if through the playoffs. I think any rational fan at this point will see a failure to get promotion as a failed season, given how the season has gone and our squad.

It does seem there is some kinds o blockage on certain criticism, in another thread the discussion ended with my post suggesting a potential change of ownership at the club, my post survived but the thread was locked ending that chain of discussion, if teapot didnt break any rules why was his post deleted? -

We not getting any deductions to the punishment I reckon, the statement clearly shows we not cooperating under goodwill but instead only when legally obliged. Also reads as if we throwing the toys out of the pram, and no director has the balls to put their name put to the statement. -

Failing to submit doesnt bode well for mitigation and compliance. -
Is the manager still assisting the club on an internal matter? This needs to be settled.

Our relegation combined with the Everton and Forest small punishments is basically a message of cheats prosper. How anyone can say with a straight face Forest's splurge after promotion was only worth 4 points I dont know. The real incentive to keeping within the rules is club/brand reputation, the sporting punishment is nothing. -
Thats the odds. I got, was 6/1 on Sunday. Sky bet have some weird triple bet they offer if you go to oddschecker. Go to odds checker, add Leicester in the playoffs to basked. Then add ipswich and leeds to basket as finishing in top 2, so 3 bets. Then a 4th offer will appear, for all 3 to happen it offers some crazy odds of over 40/1, and you dont need to bet on the 3 individual options, however when I logged in the offer vanished. At a guess it probably didnt let me bet as I already have one on the Leicester to be in playoffs.

I think I have never seen you criticise anything about the club this season. I dont know your reasons but it seems you think we are doing the best possible and no mistakes have been made, I even remember you debating with me over Ndidi, you thought he should be dropped, I told you he was important, and now a couple of posts up you have him listed as a reason for our downfall. I agree with Ric Flair 100%, you cant claim 19 points from 14 games would be acceptable by any measure. It would show that for a final 1/3 of the season we have regressed heavily, and for a team fighting for autos, and a team with the biggest playing budget in the season its just not acceptable. Now there was one guy in this thread a couple of months back he said he believed the gap wouldnt be closed because it was literally almost impossible for us to go on a bad enough run along side any of the chasing pack having a good run and if the gap got closed the manager and players would deserve any criticism thrown their way, I wonder if he stands by those words, cant remember who it was though.

Honestly watching the opponents EFL streams their commentators show more neutrality and respect for us then sky, I am not kidding either.

Managed to read the article now, it wasnt what I was expecting after how much it got hyped up. -
I managed to get 39/1 odds to appear for both ipswich and leeds top two, in any order, but when I logged in the option vanished and wont come back. Yeah they locked it out for me personally, that seems pretty dodgy, not logged in 39.8/1, log in and the option goes away.

Thats good for us, it regains our match in hand on that date so chance to get points on board over them assuming we lose to Chelsea. At this stage of the season I would rather have points on board than game in hand, its better mentally for the squad. Cov have done us a favour.
-
For sure, I got fired from one job because I didnt get on with my supervisor, who unfortunately for me got promoted to manager, and within 3 days of that happening was fired with a vague "work not satisfactory", I had never been previously warned or anything, and got wrongful dismissal wages after contacting a legal aid firm, but of course didnt get my job back. I had colleagues contacting me afterwards out of work asking me what happened as for them all they seen was me escorted away from my desk (as if I did gross misconduct). I have also witnessed and know of many accounts of people getting jobs simply because they know the right person, I know of multiple companies who routinely dont advertise jobs as an example.
-
Oh yeah, we have a 3 not 4 point lead, yeah that would be horrible.
-
Hate the fact we going to be one game behind now because of the cup run, mentally thats bad for the squad, as means less points on the board, less of a buffer.
-
Sad that due to this game we might be down to 1point lead end of the weekend.

I think it was a fear vote, most likely some form of threat from the big 6 for non compliance. Same reason why the ESL got brushed under the rug so quickly. -

This link? https://archive.ph/PLO3k Its dead here, and has been all 3 times I tried it today. -
If the club dealt with it quickly and he was already back in position, I think he would survive, but they dragging their feet and with all this talk going on I think he is going.
-
Problem with that, it requires both to fall in place that order. ut the odds arent bad as well, also tempting.

I think you are probably right on KDH and its so depressing, we all know any replacement wont be the same level of player, and to rub salt into wounds he would be playing for another team in the same division, sales are always easier to take if its abroad or a different division.
