Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Chrysalis replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Refusing to invest, when already breaching FFP anyway, Only Top and Whelan can do that. O_o -
Sadly you are right, the team and manager thinking they just need to keep doing what they doing is not what we need.
-
I take it you like the use of combined/averaged PPG then @Les-TA-Jon
-
Fortune favours the brave, we cant moan about deflections not going in if we not making those type of shots ourselves. Not to mention in the Ipswich game we allowed them to peg us back which gave them those chances, I just feel like blaming luck is a cop out.

I think the bias in the womens game is already worse than the mens.

What Happens if we don’t get promoted
Chrysalis replied to funkyrobot's topic in Leicester City Forum
The only thing certain is Top, Whelan and Rudkin will all stay in their positions and we will take on more 3rd party debt. Speculation hat on, squad will be much weaker, Enzo I think would quit, and there would be cut backs in the training ground and scouting setup. -
For reference she has ignored all of my emails. Not even a PA response, one was replied to by someone very low in the club. I cant think she would respond to an email critical of the way the club has being managed given she is CEO and should be overseeing everything.

Agreed, we cant really be properly trimmed down either, we now routinely take out interest bearing loans, so have interest to pay every year on external debt and the elephant training complex to fund. We also still seem to have the intent of handing out generous contracts, if these things cant be shaken out of the owners, then we absolutely need EPL money.

I think the last 2 weeks has shown 5 points is not that big of a gap. Also momentum is really important in football, I personally think we no longer the favourites. Not saying we going to lose every game, and struggle to get past 80 points, just I dont think we the favourites, I repeated that bit as I suspect you would misinterpret otherwise. I also dont know how you come to the conclusion we have had only one bad game and shown class for virtually every game. I cant help but feel club emotions have clouded your judgement of our performances. Let me explain my point of view. I think at least 10 of our wins were unconvincing where we managed to get the win, but didnt look like a team that had a dominant performance. We have had spells where we played well and I was happy with what I was watching, but these never became persistent. What is even more concerning though is the momentum (what you have shrugged off), at the start of the season we were pretty solid defensively, went through a number of games where we didnt concede a single goal after the 70 minute mark, now we look like we have a soft belly and weak mentality. We also have much less of an attacking threat without Ndidi, who still doesnt have a confirmed return date. I think this can go either way, its basically a crap shoot at this point, but I think saying we have dominated virtually every game, are a class above, and have nothing to worry about is as bonkers as saying we will lose every game for the rest of the season. The reality is somewhere in between. My latest prediction table, the one based on seasonal PPG and last 6 PPG combined, has us now third behind Leeds and Ipswich. Our last 12 isnt great either (1/4 a season worth of form).

Gutted he was getting back to his best.

I think they have quality in the team, was impressed both times they played us. Just because a team is happy to let us have the ball after they have taken the lead, it doesnt mean they are crap, next season I expect them to be fighting for playoffs. We have become a bit snobbish, thinking possession represents class of team, when it doesnt, its just an optional way to play the game, and perhaps a reminder we won the biggest league in the world with low possession.

Not strengthening the team in January
Chrysalis replied to Happy Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think is an element of both, its important to reinforce, prevent things going stale etc. Of course also to help a manager fix weaknesses he has identified. But I have of course also been critical of some flaws in the way we setup, letting teams regain their defensive shape, not having a radical plan B, lack of urgency going forward, that sort of thing. (pretty much what you saying). -
Not strengthening the team in January

I think I remember Sir Alex saying something about how important refreshes were. -
How many seasons now we end badly without investing sufficiently mid season?
-
I am just averaging them out, considering the existing points total is already obviously based on seasonal form, its pretty heavily weighted to seasonal form. So as an example our last 6 ppg is 1.5, the seasonal ppg is 2.22 so a ppg of 1.86 was used.
-
Ok both tables, for the top 3 is much smaller deviation now due to the gap closing. Last 6 form predicted table. Ipswich 104 Leeds 102 Leicester 95 Southampton 87 last 6 form and seasonal form combined predicted table. Ipswich 101 Leeds 99 Leicester 98 Southampton 89
-
Its all good if we can get 30 chances per game that's 2 goals, and just keep chances against down to 1, we should win rest of games.
-
We probably not even close on last 6 form, but I wonder if even top 2 now if I do a mixed seasonal form last 6 form prediction. Will post it later. Also I wonder how many gets auto's with the # of defeats we have.
-
How was we without him? as I know he still has some haters.
-
Guys I tried, most of our best performances I didnt watch, so I didnt watch the game seeing if it would trigger. It didnt. Looks like we have a problem of needing so many shots to score really becoming a thing now, the shots to goal stats are depressing for this game. QPR 3 shots 2 goals indicates a soft belly.
-
Now we dragged into the autos fight, I am guessing we are more attractive team to show again.
-
I feel this is a distraction, but if it breeds confidence its good.
