  1. Plus blaming Rudkin for financial decisions.
  2. The way we have been playing we would be murdered in the premier league, all those tippy tappy passes at the back ending up at opposition forwards would be goals conceded. We also would have entire blocks of players pressing us, when thats happened this season we havent handled it. Early season we benefited from almost everyone fearing us, the sitting back which you think hindered us actually helped us get those 1 goal victories. No one would fear us up there. Our football isnt next level football, but sadly a bunch of people seem to have been fooled into thinking it is, all because of Pep and his 1 billion pound set of players. Burnley are still waiting for their players to play the system well. There also has been people within the past couple of months questioning the problems, they were just drowned out by all the patting posts.
  3. Put it very well, a squad, financial situation and manager mismatch. Thats on the owner to get right.
  4. I think for a while now frustration has been building up in a lot of people, they could see even when the results were coming in the football was bad, we wasnt convincing and the future wasnt there (have I got that right?), now the results have actually turned its like you finally take the lid of the saucepan thats been bubbling away for a long time to let all that steam escape.
  5. He will be with us for the remainder of the season, but summer this becomes a discussion for the club, for me they should bring a hungry manager, someone who knows from day 1 where they stand with budget and works on the basics, not slow build up tippy tappy, TOP needs to grow out of it.
  6. Indeed, a breach is a breach. Even if it were to add a couple of points for lets say not trying to mitigate (Forest have shown its worth 2 points), I think its a big claim that not bringing in a key target for the manager is not worth even 2 points. This is what I mean by ruthlessness and decisiveness, a ruthless decision would have brought in the player I think.
  7. Their odds are set to ensure a house advantage so are based on the bets coming in. If they were set on reality, Leeds and Ipswich last 6 form puts them as clear favourites at this stage, they 1 and 2 in last 6, whilst we are 3rd from bottom, with saints around mid table. It is like winning a truck race but the leader is heading for the barrier, he still technically has the lead, but its a monumental task to shift that beast another way.
  8. This is an easy mistake to make when one supports the football ideology, was an excellent post made yesterday pointing out the common problem, is thinking the system is good, but its just the players not playing it well enough. The problem is the system only a small fraction of footballers can play it comfortably, and when the squad is mismatched, it looks like what you described. The best managers will play in a way that suits the squad they have. Vincent is still waiting for the turnaround when the players figure out the unbeatable system. Although the bristol city game, there was a mentality problem for sure, I think the financial issues, combined with players not having faith in enzo ball has made them give up, we are done for the season I think. Many of the players will know they not here next season, Enzo too probably.
  9. It comes from top not rudkin the choice of managers we employ. Enzo was employed for the style of play top wants at the club.
  10. No wonder Hales said she wasn't happy, crazy answers. So basically those answers tell us he only will sub if he thinks the player is having a poor game and he doesnt consider changing the system as a reason to swap players.
  11. Winks isnt the issue, the system he is playing under is.
  12. Well you beat me pretty handy there, very good bet there.
  13. You missed the boat, I have my bet for the playoffs at 7/1. They have tumbled.
  14. Apparently we were heading for a record points total under mastermind Enzo and Ipswich would have dropped way off by now.
  15. We had that chance with Smith as I feel he is a Pearson type manager, was gutted when he wasnt taken on for this season. I dont think Pearson would come back to us.
  16. It happened an awful lot at start of season as well, many of those one goal victories, the opponents wasted multiple good chances.
  17. I so need a bookmark post button, replied so I can find it from my post history.
  18. Hello pep. https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/topic/134411-sack-him/?do=findComment&comment=7293987
  19. I actually think Smith, Shakespeare and Terry could have worked, but they were hamstrung, it was obvious as early as their second game they were told to change the style. Then this season we had fans posting they were so relieved we didnt employ Smith as if he is some kind of horrid turd, we have turned into tippy tappy football slobs. But that management team is what we needed in my opinion to go back to the basics and get players motivated and working hard for us again, it was clear from the comments fitness of the players would have been a priority as well which is something we have been lacking in for at least 2 seasons now.
  20. Isnt Tuesday too late, because of bank holidays I thought should have been done by yesterday?
  21. Ipswich had a clear identifiable problem for their short bad run of form, it was addressed and they resumed normal business, they also dont have an EPL squad. Leeds more of an argument, but the difference there is Leeds have been gradually improving as the season went on and are ending it strongly, momentum favours what they doing and indicates the manager has them going in the right direction. Southampton are the most similar to us, also a stubborn manager, and their winning run was when their manager went against his own ideology, when he resumed it again their form dropped off and saints fans arent happy.
  22. Unlike Enzo he won the league he was competing in, even more so very much against the odds. Enzo is he even fit to clean his boots?
  23. These set of fans have a wake up call coming, very soon we will be building a squad on motivated inexperienced players out of necessity, and we would be absolute bonkers to impose an ideological style of football on them so inevitably things will reset to sanity.
  24. It has been touched up on in other threads, but latest thread tends to win so here goes. Trying to force a style of player on a squad not fit for it (I made a thread on it). Directors not backing the manager in January. The manager been stubborn on style of player (top of club likely also imposing on manager). Arrogance that the season is done already. Financial issues likely affecting the squad, the last game they played like they wont be here next season. Inconsistency from the club directors, e.g. self imposing a transfer embargo (twice now) when we already breaching PSR anyway, and then deciding to not cooperate when the league starts investigating. That is a half in half out strategy, we either comply with the rules or do a man city, not half in half out. This to me is the biggest sign there isnt an assured leadership at the club with ruthlessness and strong decision making.
  25. Certainly last season it was wreckless to keep Rodgers on for so long. This season, from a pure business is business point of view, Enzo is sacked 100%, the best business men are ruthless. However from a reputation and respecting perspective you let the manager see the season out as after all we are still assured of top 4 at worst, and can still get promoted even from 4th. So disagree with you strongly on the financial point of view, its more of a moral and ideology issue in my opinion. Also we already breaching PSR, an extra 1-2 million isnt going to change anything there.
