I remember we would often keep a knackered Mahrez on the pitch, even though was knackered his mere presence tied players down, they just couldnt risk leaving him unmarked. Mavididi knackered or not needs to stay on for 90 mins in my opinion, as it ties players up to keep him contained. Which in turn prevents a full momentum shift pressuring us at the back. I perhaps should have clarified, I think the punishment is way too lenient, I actually think it should be a forced relegation or at least 30 points deduction. So yeah of course I think they gained way more than 2 wins from it, and its a bit like where someone like Man City takes a fine, because they see it as just another cost of business. I am not a huge fan of the current FFP, but rules are rules. If I remember right in rugby, they actually increased a points deduction when they realised the original one wasnt going to cause a relegation. It also should have been done prior to the end of last season, they not even imposing it in the correct season.

Yeah I think the 11 gained a big part of it was from earlier in the season and we have kind of reversed on it to where we are now. It is also kind of a double whammy, as often in games the opposition might give up towards the end, and just play out the defeat, but if a team gains a rep for late collapses it instead encourages teams to up the tempo at end of games.

For those wondering why I think the points deduction is a joke, ask yourself this. Do you think Everton's overspend has given them more than 2 wins?

Why would you think this? one of the most strange posts I have ever read. Thinking something will happen if its based on emotions (what you want) then its an emotional prediction, if people want to predict a perfect end to something because of well emotions, belief that sort of thing thats fine. But just because someone might think its not going to be a rosy ending it doesnt mean they want it, I just find your comment so odd. Dont think its anything to do with wants, and its an interesting analysis, note this quote he thinks the current top 4 are the best teams the division has seen for a while. Also this might explain why I think the points needed for autos this season might be very high.

I think it was a decision by Top to keep Rodgers hanging around. (or lack of one to prevent him from being binned) It wasnt just a decision whether to back him as a manager, but also with one eye on the cost of sacking him with his lucrative contract.

Enzo said it himself (so this cant be debated unless you think he is lying) he was hired for his style of football. I speculated it earlier in the season as its evident Top likes a specific style, but the man confirmed it himself I dont think that long ago. Whether that works for us we can only see, of course we have to get promoted first, I will say I am not confident it will work in the EPL without adaptation but I have always given manager's a chance. The only question mark is of course how long should they get when things arent working, hopefully thats not a discussion next season.

If you think 100 will be enough for autos this season, then we probably still good as even a 1.7 PPG will get us there. Thats worse than a win-draw-win-draw form. I dont think 100 will be enough, but thats just my opinion.

This is my point, if you have the opinion luck had no factor at all in that season, why is luck been blamed for matches we lose? Its inconsistent logic.

Even if we forgot the arguments about dominance, missed chances, refereeing decision, substitutions, and style of play. I think most will agree we have a problem now at end of games with the team falling apart, ironically the opposite of the start of the season where we went on for quite a while without conceding a goal after 70mins, so unfortunately for Enzo this is a trend settling in under his watch.

For me I could see the concede as soon as the usual happened with Mavididi coming off. Although wasnt expecting us to concede 3, just 1 or 2.

Not only that, but they werent even enough, notice how we only spent a fraction of the money we made from sales and there wasnt enough left over to get Sensei. If we dont go up, the summer is going to wake some people up.
