  1. Great energy from him again and love how he is giving instructions to the rest of the team. Still limited in what he is able to do technically, but he certainly is growing in confidence and think he could become a really good player for us.
  2. Love his energy and enthusiasm, but he needs to develop his overall game more. He does a lot of things well, but nothing really well. I was hoping he would be a lot stronger defensively, and so we could use that and then develop his passing and composure on the ball the longer he spent with us. I think after the transfer window, he will go back to being used mainly as a subsitute, giving him time to develop and improve all areas of his game. He has potential, but he is definitely not going to become a star over night with what I have seen so far. Lots of work and patience with him, and we may in time, have a very useful player on our hands.
  3. I do agree with all this, however there has been so many occassions this season, where I have seen Mahrez defending so deep, alongside Simpson, and so when we do get the ball and look to break quickly, because Mahrez doesn't have the pace or stamina, the outward ball to him is rarely available or if it is, he has too much work to do from where he is, and so we are often left to the hopeful floated ball to either Vardy or Slimani, with no support. I would like to see us being able to cover the defensive duties done by Mahrez with a formation and player change, so he can stay further up the pitch when we are defending and help provide the link from defence to attack. Even if he does have players still doubling and tripling up on him, at least the opposition will have that to worry about, even when in attack if Mahrez stays higher up the pitch. It is by no means a solution to all our problems, and like you said, we do need more attacking quality and flair all over the pitch, but I believe this could certainly help Mahrez become more effective than he is at the moment.
  4. I think 4-3-3 will suit most our players to be honest. Musa, Gray, and Mahrez especially and then with the 3 man midfield which is what we are crying out for. I think Mahrez is being nulified, by the amount of defensive work he is having to do in this 4-4-2 without a Kante type player. Change of formation and a holding midfielder infront of the back 4, should let Mahrez, Gray and even Musa focus more on what they do best, higher up the pitch, similar to how Chelsea are now getting the best of of Hazard due to a formation and style change,
  5. I know it is difficult to judge him so far, as he hasn't played that much and Claudio doesn't seem to know whether to play him as a striker or winger, but so far, it does seem like we have paid quite a lot for a player who is just very fast, and not much else. You can't fault his work ethic though, but he does seem to be lacking any real quality, especially for the amount we paid. Hopefully he is just taking time to adapt and will improve if he plays more and in his preferred position, which I am guessing is on the left of a front 3. Otherwise.. major flop on our hands I fear!
  6. Would like to see a way of playing Slim with Vardy eventually, as they are both natural goal scorers and neither should be on the bench, but I agree that playing Okazaki is the best option at the moment as he links the midfield to the attack so well. It's clear that Slim and Vardy, although have different strengths, both are at their best playing as the main striker with a licence to roam anywhere across the final 3rd. Therefore, one or both will have to adapt to create an effective partnership. Vardy also hasn't been his usual self, so perhaps a rest and rethink will help him come back stronger. Slim and Okazaki whilst Claudio comes up with a way to get both our goal scorers on the pitch at once.
  7. So happy and also relieved by his excellent performance tonight! Exactly what he needed and what we all needed to see from him, to know we do have a very decent and capable player on our hands. He was my MOTM too and the highlights of him shown on BT showed exactly why. He broke up play really well and his passing was accurate and often with real attacking threat. Fantastic all round performance and fills me with confidence going forward as those two as a CM pairing, until January at least, if we persist with 442. Anyone else see when he kissed Hernandez for a clearance too haha. Fast becoming one of my favourite players! Pashunnn!
  8. I would like to see him run forward with the ball and take some chances. He has the pace and strength to do it. Kante used to break the play up and drive forward with pace and purpose. Amartey seems to look to get rid of the ball as soon as he has it and usually with a short sideways or backwards pass, which slows the play and usually results in an ineffective ball over the top. I still think he has a lot of potential and just needs the confidence to go with it and that will hopefully come. At the moment though, I am hoping Mendy turns out to be a real gem of a player as we really need it.
  9. More so than Gray? He hasn't shown me enough yet but he looks like he could mature into a decent player. Needs more time and I think he has been thrown in the deep end some what, but that is because we didn't strengthen in the Summer.. I wanted to see how he performed against United, but in fairness, the whole team was a shambles in that 1st half, so it's difficult to judge him too harshly on that performance alone. Interested to see how he plays Tuesday now. Another poor game and can see Mendy being brought straight in for him for next weekend.
  10. I thought Albrighton was very poor today and obviously Gray was our best player. I don't think he should start Tuesday as I want to see a response from Albrighton but would consider starting him in the next Premier League match. He needs to prove he can produce a 90minute performance, as I had high hopes for him against Hull and he disappointed. Incredibly talented though and very excited to see him progess with us.
  11. He said he regretted the Brum wind-up thing but I always thought he was very anti-Leicester when he moved on and even early into his pundit career. Changed a lot now and can't help think he has jumped on the bandwagon! Don't blame him though, everyone loves a bit of Leicester now. Pretty nice to be the most popular club around at the moment
  12. Spurs are a seriously good side and can only see them challenging again next season as long as they hold on to their players. Even their bench is full of quality. As for Leicester, this really is a once in a life-time chance for us and would be truly incredible for us to do it so I totally agree with this guy and hope other fans of other clubs agree. Spurs can wait a little longer. This has to go to Leicester
  13. This guy is a top player but has been played in a specific role which means Vardy is left alone up front for break away goals. I do wonder how Okazaki will do in the Vardy role. He can obviously finish as his record for Japan is amazing. Maybe the little and large combo of him an Ulloa can work. No doubt Ulloa's main strength is holding up the ball and laying it off so could work and I still think we are yet to see the best of Okazaki infront of goal. Now is your time!!
  14. Cheeky look on WATFORD Forum to see their team/injury updates and saw this... (I've always liked them... ) '...I think the real result we're all hoping for is a 0-0 in the north london derby with 6 red cards. Good luck to Leicester, good luck to anyone who breaks up the monotony of the top 4/5. But I'll be praying for a watford win this evening. Even if we do win, I think Leicester play the most exciting football in the league and should be deserved title winners come May.'
  15. Kante and Mahrez looking like they are late for school... Kante looks like he is missing his mum dressing him too
  16. Don't know why everyone is so sensitive to opposing fans saying it won't last etc... We would be saying the same if someone like Norwich were top. As for the wheels falling off though, well I can't see that happening. I don't honestly think we will win the league but I also can't see us having a dramatic collapse either, as the quality and spirit we now have is unlikely to allow that. Top 4 would be absolutely immense achievement for us and I genuinely believe we can do that now, especially with the so called big teams fannying about!!
  17. At first I thought what an arrogant twat again, but he actually has a point about what the media are doing and how they should know how making up stories can effect people. Good for him! .....the media will be now work even harder to destroy him though.
  18. Well Pulis mind games are definitely working on FOXESTALK. Got us all arguing. Good work Pulis
  19. I think it's a mixture of standards falling but also the "smaller" clubs with more spending power are buying better players and holding on to theirs too. I used to find the Premiership boring as you could predict the results most weeks. This season is much more interesting because of it. Long may it continue!
  20. Need to see him at CB before we judge too quickly. Seems pricey for what we have seen so far though but we'll see On a side note. Anyone watch Leeds the other day, Sol Bamba was a beast! Those were the days...
  21. Was it our scouting team who suggested this one or is this a Claudio signing?
  22. Still early but does seem we spent a lot on this guy for no evident reason yet...
  23. Have we found our new scapegoat then? Phew.
  24. Can anyone PM me a stream link please? Mine is lagging and freezing so bad :-/
