Unfortunately for him I think that's just his natural facial expression.

Euphemisms to describe our current plight.

In particular the topic starter @Free Falling Foxes He meant well, though and has generated at least 3 pages of nonsense. -
Euphemisms to describe our current plight.

I do. -
Excellent. I always felt that Roger Taylor was underrated as a rock drummer. I saw Queen with Adam Lambert. Taylor's drum solo, then bringing in his son to drum alongside him in synchro, was just incredible to witness.

A masterpiece of collaboration between Jim Steinman and Meatloaf. Despite other albums between them this, IMO, was never bettered.

That's an acronym not a euphemism as is FUBAR. And I can't work it out. And, the title of this topic is a bit misleading as the examples given at the top aren't actually euphemisms but more like metaphors. Anyway, let's continue with (metaphorical) ways to describe us and the situation we're in. It's like starting your summer holiday with hope and looking forward to fun, exciting and happy times only to discover that whatever the travel agent promised isn't happening and you wish you'd never got so involved with that slightly dodgy nightclub dancer after you discover she has herpes and was wearing a wig. Then all you want to do is go home but you're stuck in the place you really don't want to be. -
I always thought of him as amusing, witty intellectual with a rich and varied background and this book does that justice. There's so much to his ancestry and his acquaintances and friendships and experiences that make for an absorbing read.

Looked again and I think this particular supplier is niche and I think more generally, Costco will source meat through their own suppliers of which there must be several in order to serve all the outlets in the UK in bulk. That said, the quality is decent and IMO better than most supermarkets. It's just the bulk buying that is a problem for individuals like me. PS. Their all beef hotdogs are awful. -
Sorry to hear that. And you're right about carrying on with life. Like it or not it goes own outside of our own lives and the feeling that no-one else we pass in the street knows our worries, grief, or distress and anxiety or all the other negative emotions we're going through, yet we think they should, is a peculiar feeling.

I Googled and this is the closest answer I could find WRT the UK outlets. Meet the Supplier: Taste Tradition | Costco UK If correct, I'm impressed. -

Seriously?????? (I assume you meant "doesn't"). Dyche has been employed and then ditched by so many clubs, I can't imagine he's a great or popular coach with the players or the fans. -

This is precisely what someone I know who used to work in a meat processing factory told me. He said the best cuts of meat went to supermarkets in exactly the same order you mention. Waitrose, M&S, Sainsbury's, Tesco then Asda. Discounters get the lesser quality meat, which is why I don't buy steaks, chicken, or joints of meat from them. Also I won't buy from Asda. More often than not we buy from a butcher. We sometimes use The Company shop in Braunstone Frith and usually we find M&S "higher welfare" meats there and half the normal store price and they're good quality. -
No it's not worth it you'll only feel worse in the morning.

Does it REALLY MATTER though, in the scheme of things? No. Wood, Woods. So what. There used to be topic titled pedantry central. You should look it up. Anyways, back to the footballs we were shits.

Did I refer to you? My responses were as light hearted as yours. Anyway, life goes on.

And now I see the mod bots have deleted some of my posts.

Doesn't really bother me tbh. Others get riled up about it. Must be something missing in their lives
-
OK, WOOD! ffs does it matter that much?
-
Ok. But so what? You're way too clever for me.
