  1. I find this subject really interesting and there's several documentaries available on various channels. There's also this: Air Accidents Investigation Branch: current field investigations - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk) Documented evidence of investigations into reportable incidents.
  2. Maybe some of his decision making was poor but also, and more likely IMO was that he was poorly advised and didn't have the nouse to challenge those advising him. Or maybe it's simply that he's past his best and now no-one is interested.

  4. Daughter is back in MHU, this time under section 3 (up to 6 months in hospital) as she has relapsed after being discharged 4 weeks ago, She spiralled quite quickly, becoming increasingly paranoid again and was sending us lots of hateful texts and VM's accusing us of wanting her to dead or on the streets. It worse and worse until she DSH'd and took an overdose. She went by ambulance to LRI where she was kept in until a bed was found at the Bradgate unit. That was last Wednesday. The psych's have decided to put her back on quetiapine, the drug used to control her schizophrenic/paranoid thinking. Why they ever took her off it, I can't fathom. They also want to put her Respiradone to manage her Bi-Polar Disorder. She had that before and suffered quite badly from side effects which were shuffling slow movements, slow speech, twitching and muscle spasms. If you've ever watched One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, you'll know. Horrible to see in a real person. They initially said daily tabs to monitor her reaction to it, but for some reason have now given her a depot injection which lasts for 28 days which means if she does have a reaction, the drug can't be stopped being given and the side effects could last for 4 weeks. I despair. Our daughter isn't really in a fit state mentally to understand all of what is going on and we aren't ever consulted.
  5. They're cows, not rams.
  6. Why is she considered a threat to European security, though?

  9. It's just a fad, like wearing gloves with short sleeved shirts.
  10. Good result as far as England are concerned.
  11. You're right. They sound very similar

  13. Ali McCoist: Pat Nevin: " was that Vestergaard towing a caravan". (radio 5 commentary)
  14. Mrs Para has an allotment and it's been almost impossible to get young plants into the ground without them suffering from the excessive wet and cold conditions. I don't know how farmers must be coping.
  15. I'll give you that one.
  16. To quote you from another thread... "Imagine them all nak… No. No, that’s a very stupid idea. Imagine yourself naked. I do that all the time - and I’ve never ever met you". I think you have "issues"?
  17. The kids look so eager and happy to be there. Hardly surprising when teach is bone dry. Also, I remember the stumps painted on walls in my school playground.
  18. That's not even a humble-brag, just a brag....
  19. We were away with friends last week and attempted a BBQ on Tuesday evening. We sat in hoodies and scarves. I even considered gloves as we had them in the car from our winter walks.
  20. If the City council had any balls they should've listed it and told DMU to feck off.

  22. ITV commentary and punditry is absolute garbage. How the F do they get away with it? And Pougatch just shouts at the "experts" in the studio.
  23. It's not exactly a flowing game anyway.
