True this. I remember not that many years ago, having to scrape dead bugs from my windscreen. Last year, hardly any splats requiring anything more than the screen wash.

Goalkeeper is a much underestimated position. I played 5 a side on Monday as usual. Lost 12 - 15. I felt I should have saved at least 8 of the 15. Mind you, I am 68 and my reflexes aren't what they were, but my team mates didn't do me any favours.

I'm also surprised. I would have thought that a report to the police by a social worker raising concerns for safety, would have been a priority response.

I guess it depends on the area the app covers. In Hinckley the BBC forecast is -4 all night. In the NW of the county it's generally worse as it's higher ground (above sea level).

Good luck. In your head you need to forget 6 million and focus on Ken Bruce as being the only one listening. IIRC there's a preamble with the producers who will give guidance of what Ken might talk about with you, your interests and musical tastes etc. followed by a chat off air with him before going live when he may make reference to the things you've chatted about, family members, kids, pets that sort of thing. And remember the pride is in taking part. Even to get to the live quiz is an achievement in itself.

You must have been quite prolific.

There's a few of those on here I think you'll find. That's unfair and unkind.

I've told this story before but worth another post in light of this comment: I got called to a report that a train driver had seen a body on the track. Not that unusual as a form of suicide. Expecting the worst my crewmate and I set off to the scene which was on a single track goods line which ran near Braunstone/Hinckley road. We had to walk down a footpath so carried all our kit with us, just in case. When we located the scene we found not a body, but several centrefolds and pages from the Sunday Sport laid out with stones holding down the corners to prevent them flapping in the breeze. No sign of a body or any human debris. We had to conclude that the train driver had seen someone lying by the track having some "personal time" who then, presumably suitably satisfied, left the scene.

I wonder why? The weakest. most tasteless of all beers/lagers. Haven't seen cans of bitter with a "widget" for a long time.

And how often does your Mrs see him?

I've seen a few on high end cars. I guess the electronic key is easy to clone whereas the good old crooklock is a better deterrent.
