Oh, the memories... The Scot's guy that owned the place was a ruthless character and would sack any DJ if customer levels dipped. I managed 18 months and was the longest serving DJ at the time! He was also the only person I have ever know personally that owned a Rolls Royce. I met Wallington, Worthington, (ladies man), Weller, the Birch (really funny guy), and bizarrely, Englebert Humperdinck, during my time there.

We have a very good friend who is a Christian and believes that anyone who isn't baptised will be barred from getting into Heaven and will remain in Purgatory for all time. Personally, I don't believe in either place but those that do can come across as a bit "fanatical". She's not a pushy "bible-basher" but, I just find the idea a bit odd if God is all forgiving.

The old boy leaving the M69 to join the M1 NB travelling at 40mph. He moved into lane 2 on the M1 shortly after joining. He remained at 40mph in lane 2 and I had to undertake as I was leaving at 21A. I was then stuck behind a truck but I could the old bloke in my mirrors and he was causing quite a tailback behind him as other drivers had to slow down to find a gap to overtake. I then saw him, as he was about to pass 21A, move back into the exit lane between 2 trucks and exit onto the A46. Dangerously unaware.

I personally find them all quite insipid, or at least those I have tried, green, lemon, ginger, ginseng mint. I get the potential health properties but, give me a brickies style brew of Yorkshire leaf, not bags.

Everyone will have their own opinions but yes, personally. The first episode was a bit dry I agree, but it does grow as the characters develop. There was a few unexpected twists in episode 2.

Just a "what if" but, what if the attack on the aid vehicles and workers in Gaza was a deliberate act designed to deter organisations and personnel from distributing aid? Netanyahu didn't apologise, just describing it as a mistake that happens in war. That infers that there's an inherent risk that this will happen again. It seems very suspicious that the 3 vehicles were directly hit and AFAIK were the only vehicles travelling in the vicinity, clearly marked as aid. If it was a "mistake" what were the IAF trying to target? There's no evidence that I have seen that there were any other possible targets. They MUST have known.

Is spitting still banned on buses? Used to be a sign prohibiting it, back in the day. Also a sign saying "no standing on the upper deck". As if the bus might topple over.

I simply don't know what to say. Thoughts are with you. It doesn't help much, I know. I can't imagine what you're feeling or going through. I only know you from FT but nevertheless I am so sorry for your loss. Really, genuinely sorry. Really sad for you and your family.
