It seems ITV are turning more towards YouTubers and minor American celebs every year. I don't imagine Farage would be interested if he wasn't getting paid £1.5 million (allegedly). Apart from him, the only ones I recognised straight away were Grace Dent and the blonde off Eastenders and even now I can't remember her name.

Broadband and the Tivo box thing for TV, gaming and streaming. Yes, I have tried and I've set up a new Gmail account (as VM advised) so that I could reset the password via a 3rd party account. Didn't work. I still get the message saying my email address or password are incorrect even though I've only just changed the password and the email address/username is imprinted on my brain. The VM email app won't allow me access either. Seems I'm stuck and I can't figure out why unless the account has been hacked and any changes are blocked by hackers Nothing the VM tech support has suggested has worked so far. Looks like I'm going to have to resort to the Gmail account and notify every person or organisation, banks, GP, DWP etc. etc. of the new email address.

Today has been shit for us and it's really only our own problem but I just need to unload so I am posting here. As some here will already know we have an adopted daughter who has MH issues. Today we had 37 voicemails and at least 50 texts saying she was going to trash her flat, kick the neighbour's doors in, sleep rough then take her own life. I called an ambulance and the police (we can't go near her when she's like this). We can only assume they attended but no further action was taken as we heard nothing back but she continued the abuse by text and VM's. Presumably the ambulance crew decided she had capacity to refuse treatment or transport to A&E. We don't know if the police attended. I attempted to involve the "crisis" team as we were seriously concerned about her mental state. I got through to the central point of access (not the ACTUAL crisis team. I expected this, having done similar calls in my job) and, as expected, they took the details, the concerns we had and logged them on our daughter's file notes and said the "relevant team" would get in touch with her if "THEY FELT IT WAS APPROPRIATE TO DO SO"!!. We all know the MH care is the least considered of all health services. Unless you're in the midst of it or have direct experience of the workings, few people understand how awful and tragic and how many deaths or injuries are a result of this severe neglect of those so vulnerable. It's unforgivable.

When I was working I hardly drank as I had to be switched on for every shift. Then I retired and I felt as if the shackles could come off. Then I started to drink regularly, almost daily. I fortunately realised it was a problem after my wife challenged me after finding a bottle of gin I'd hidden as an emergency supply. That was the point when I had to be honest with myself. I drink in moderation now. Fortunately I got a grip of alcohol before it got a grip of me. In a way, seeing those unfortunate people who lose control and live life in the desperation of addiction and the results thereof, has given me the foresight to know I don't want that for me or my family and friends because ultimately the ripples extend right across the pool of your life.

I'm 68 yrs old tomorrow and this evening my daughter asked if I was "excited" to be older! I told her that I might have been when I was about to be 18. Then I remembered that at my 18th party the DJ was... ME! Cos I wanted to. Then I realised that was 50 years ago!!!! Half a century! OMG!

Tried just now. There's a recent post on there with the same issue as me. I'm going to keep checking back for a response. I actually managed to speak directly to a techy from VM but the steps he told me to follow still didn't work. 5 times now, I've tried to resolve this and I'm getting quite down about it.

Hated shift working. 12 hrs is so knackering. In particular night shifts. My shifts were 6-6 AM and PM. Getting up and 4:30 AM to get to base in time to do all the checks and prep for the shift and then not finishing on time, regularly 90 mins or more after end of shift, meant a 15hr shift in total. Then similar hours on nights followed by the drive home in the morning. I often used to fail to remember driving home after a night shift as I was so tired. I hope for your sanity, this is AM to PM and not PM to AM

It's not a connectivity issue. I can access the VM homepage and view bills, accounts, package etc. The issue is I can't access emails no matter what. And when I try the helpline I only get a choice of Broadband, TV, landline or Mobile. My issue is not linked to any of these options. And, yes it does feel like I'm being fobbed off.

Not specifically, but having looked at similar issues, it seems possible that there has been suspicious spam activity that could be causing the account to be locked. I just wish I could actually talk directly to a human tech rather than some bot or agent that follows a prescribed algorithm which doesn't allow me to fully interact.
