@Tommy G Boiler problems - got a 3 year old Vaillant that wont fire up today, no hot water or heating this morning, luckily its 3 years into a 10 year warranty but anything boiler related is still a pain in the arse. Open the lower panel of the front cover and check the digital display which shows the BAR? Is the display showing an F22 fault? If so you need to open the 2 small taps under the boiler until the pointer is between both upper and lowers markers on the dial:

Not to mentioned the Sports Mercury on a Saturday. -
I was talking to a guy today who works at the foodbank charity where my wife volunteers, who related a conversation he'd had with a homeless man. This man had been living in a tent on a local park. Somebody reported his presence to the local council who, whilst this guy was away from his tent, removed it, and all his belongings. He went to the council to get his stuff back. When the clerk checked, it had been taken to the tip and dumped. He was left with nothing and had to start again trying to rebuild his meagre existence.

Then there's the ones that bump into someone they know and haven't seen for a while and stand in the aisle chatting about stuff, completely ignorant of those trying to get on with their shopping.

Fvck off.

If Benny and Bjorn had been called Sam and Dave, the group would have been called ASDA.

Apparently a python can swallow a goat whole. Not sure about one swallowing a hippo, though.

Recently I have been trying harder to recycle correctly. It's a bit of a minefield for consumers. (Effectively everyone). Glass, plastic (not hard), cardboard etc. All the things we are already pretty much recycling already. Then I looked more at the packaging, in particular food packaging from things like ready packed salad, fruit and vegetables. Also crisps and other snacks. Almost all of these I assumed could be recycled in our blue bin. But I found this symbol which I wasn't aware of before. Now it seems I need a 5th bin to go alongside our general waste, recycling, garden waste, and compostable food waste bins to accommodate stuff that has to go to a "large" supermarket. Surely it can be easier. I feel there's too much onus on the individual to recycle correctly which creates an adverse response of just "bung it in the bin" because that's the easy option, particularly for the elderly, housebound and the lazy.

The number of responses to your post goes to show how gear-grinding this is. It's bad enough on a crowded street but when you get in a supermarket or almost any large retail outlet, it becomes intensely annoying. Particularly, AFAIAC, supermarkets. Made even more irritating by those using their phone to check shopping lists, video-calling someone to ask if X product is suitable. That's before I get to those using the scanners to log their purchases, standing in front of the product I want to get to whilst checking their shopping list and then ticking it off. Scan it, put it in your trolley, move on. Please. Someone previously mentioned walking into them. It makes no difference. You're just inviting confrontation. Don't get me started on some of the walking dead I encounter when (If I really have to) I visit Morrison's. The last supermarket before they reach the pearly gates.

Radio 2. It seems to have lost it's direction and identity. Boring, repetitive presenters, up it's own arse. I hardly listen anymore. The music isn't that bad. It's the presenters that are ruining for me Unfortunately, Radio 1, 3, 4 and 6 don't fit my listening preferences and the commercial alternatives are even more unbearable.

Kind of agree, but I wouldn't exactly call Dettori or Bellew as "nobodies". These two started at the bottom of their profession and down to hard work and determination, reached the highest level in their respective fields. I remember a few years ago, when I was crewed up to cover horse racing at Leicester racecourse, a jockey came off and we had to convey him to the doctor's post. He was furious with himself as a fall meant no pay because of a non finish. He added that he got Β£150 a ride as long as he finished higher than 4th and that most jockeys ride in several races on the card just to make a basic income. Some are paid a retainer by their stable but they have to be of a decent level and have a CV of wins/placed to get that. A lot are freelance and are booked on a race event at the discretion of the owner/stable. These novices have no security of income but, like the jockey I talked to, they do it in hope and for the excitement and passion.

Try a refill service, maybe? Or a refill kit: https://www.amazon.co.uk/sspa/click?ie=UTF8&spc=MToyMTM4MTQ2NTY5MDA2Njk4OjE3MDEzNjk5MTM6c3BfYXRmOjIwMDkxMTc4NzU1Njk4OjowOjo&url=%2FPrinter-Cartridge-Printers-GO-Inkjet%2Fdp%2FB01536DGYW%2Fref%3Dsr_1_1_sspa%3Fadgrpid%3D58804212648%26hvadid%3D259053152295%26hvdev%3Dc%26hvlocphy%3D1006800%26hvnetw%3Dg%26hvqmt%3De%26hvrand%3D12360857015062817318%26hvtargid%3Dkwd-295509575926%26hydadcr%3D4424_1795160%26keywords%3Dprinter%2Bink%2Brefill%2Bkit%26qid%3D1701369913%26sr%3D8-1-spons%26sp_csd%3Dd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY%26psc%3D1

Pushed VM again and a few days ago some VM tech guy on a support forum offered to pass on my complaint after I said I was about done with their sh1t on-line bots and was prepared to go elsewhere. I now have my email access returned albeit with a ridiculously convoluted password provided by VM. Funny that, huh?

Saw an item on Newsnight this evening where China have developed the potential for EV's in the future to be able to go to a location where the batteries are changed over, depleted for fully charged, in an automated process. Over time EV's will be more affordable as production and ancillaries develop and expand. I doubt I'll be here to witness it, but it has a truly fascinating future.

Too intellectual. Although intellect can be attractive. I suggest Suzie Dent.
