  1. I never knew Michael Palin worked for Granada rentals back in the day. The thrill you got when the TV was delivered to your home was a bit special because they were pretty much the latest models. Our first colour TV was from Radio Rentals. I couldn't wait to get home from school to see it.
  2. Wordle 974 4/6 ⬜🟨⬜⬜🟩 ⬜⬜⬜🟨🟩 ⬜⬜🟨🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  3. Bullseye was a Sunday night must watch. Hilarious, gripping but shite all at the same time. I think it was actually conceived to be a parody of all other game shows. Peter Kay got it bang on.
  4. There are some dire entertainment shows on prime time TV, Michael McIntyre's big show for example, but for me, The Masked Singer is the absolute pits. That's why I'm on here right now rather than sitting with Mrs P in front of the TV.
  5. And I think they downed tools because of him and just gave up trying.
  6. To be replaced by:
  7. Agreed, but the difference for me is the implosion last season was entirely down to one man rather than the team's complacency
  8. What? It was a jocular reply in response to what I thought was a jocular statement from you, nothing more. If you want a scrap I'll meet you on the reccy in half an hour. Better bring your mates.
  9. My point still stands and I wasn't spinning it. Calling gifted goals "clinical" is just wrong. Maybe I'm being pedantic, but I felt too much credit was given to their goals.
  10. And therefore completely unable to use the internet effectively.
  11. Are you self-employed?
  12. I'm not sure what to make of this statement other than it's a league of poorer teams than us. Which is mainly true. But we're not "reliant" on teams poor finishing. Just maybe fortunate that the other teams are, generally, not very good by comparison. Not that we are all that great ourselves at times.
  13. They were gifted 2 chances. That's not "clinical finishing". It's just finishing.
  14. I think he was suggesting that, if we lose to Leeds we could be 3rd at the end of the season rather than 3rd by next Sunday. In any case, it's a post that sums up the negativity and doom-mongering that goes on here at times and should be ignored.
  15. Wordle 973 3/6 🟩⬜⬜⬜⬜ 🟩🟨🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩
  16. Would you say that if we were 2-1 up. Not saying the time is right I doubt it's corruption
  17. When vardy misses like that you just know it's not our day
  18. Bus well and truly parked now
  19. Which stream is this pray tell?
  20. When will people on here recognise this style of play has us where we are???
  21. Was this in public, on air. If so I have never heard any of them say anything other than he will be sadly missed and how valued and loved he was by all who knew and worked with him. I never heard any of them speculate about or mention spiralling depression. That would be crass and inappropriate.
  22. I don't think I said it did? The only way anyone can die from a "broken heart" is if the heart is physically "broken". However I believe when someone is left utterly bereft and sees no future after some catastrophic life event, they can descend into the absolute depths of despair and just give up on life, stop eating, stop functioning, become reclusive and just "fade away". Is that the same thing as dying from a "broken heart" Possibly.
  23. He would have known he was dead man walking. Balls of steel. If only he hadn't gone back to Russia. Probably would have been poisoned with Polonium anyway.
