We had a "promotional" drive for the local foodbank before Christmas last year. Basically just handing out leaflets to raise the awareness and pointing out the trolley where any donations could be left. Several people declined the leaflet but one guy said, quite loudly, "people wouldn't need foodbanks if they spent their money properly"! I saw him as he left a while later with at least 3 boxes of Stella after he had visited the cigarette counter. Not saying he's a hypocrite, but he was certainly selfish and ignorant.

It's like people are doing their last shop on the way to the Pearly Gates.

It does. There's lots of missing stock from various shelves, or what's there is on the edge of it's sell by. Popular Fresh veg and salad is regularly missing, as are many other popular items. The meat fridges are often lacking in anything but the stuff nobody wants or it's Asda's basic range which is the absolute pits of quality. They regularly run out of some cooked meats. It seems that the supply of the fresh stuff has changed from reliable and sustainable to ad-hoc, give us what you can, when you can. And our local store seems to have resorted to regularly changing the shelf location of products so that people struggle to find what they've come for. I assume this is a tactic to force customers to search the store which in turn, increases potential for impulse buying. I'm no expert but something odd is happening with Asda.

I meant in terms of style of play and endeavour and tactical nouse rather than player value and class. If he has learnt anything at the knee of Pep, I don't see it. Of course Man C are a gulf apart from all teams in the EFL but, when Enzo came here I recall posters lauding him as a manager in Pep's image. And not just the shaven head and trimmed beard. For several months now, I have seen a noticeable drop in quality and supply of fresh stuff and an increase in prices overall. Quite often I find popular things out of stock, and some that are OOD or close to expiry dates. When a store runs out of bread by midday, something is wrong. There seems to be poor stock rotation, staff seem to be all consumed with unloading cages and pallets on the shop floor all day when surely this be an overnight re-stock process. It feels to me like the company is operating on extremely fine margins. Staff levels have declined and those that are on the self checkouts or doing click and collect seem over-run and struggling to manage. After a bit of online searching it seem like the Issa brothers took on an already struggling enterprise expecting to turn it around but now seem to be running on empty and treating Asda more as a corner shop for the masses but with less respect for the customer. It appears they have separated the fuel stations and brought them under their umbrella which is how they made their wealth, owning multiple fuel stations and convenience stores. It seems they aren't really that concerned about the Asda brand but more about the petrol station aspect where bigger profits can be made. Unfortunately Asda and fuel are linked, obviously but something is not right with the supermarket aspect. Issa brother ‘eyes sale’ of Asda stake to focus on petrol station business | Asda | The Guardian It still remains one of the "big four" for now but I do wonder if it will go the way of Woolworth's or Wilkinson's but for different reasons. I can see them selling out to Tesco or similar in the future.

Sorry for the dog losing it's life. You say good temperament and many must present the same characteristics, but how do you know that dog would not randomly attack, as so many seem to? As I'm sure you know, the legislation is a result of XL Bully attacks, some resulting in deaths.
