STOP HIM, HE'S INSANE!! But no one will. 'Cos they're scared of him. Ultimate power, he has it. And that's a worry for all of us. There must be an element in his government that see what we see, but they're so afraid of the consequences of speaking out that they stay silent. And the end result is that DT dictates all of everything. Is there any historical precedent for his style of leadership? Absolutely there is.

Gone but not forgotten and certainly not the death list
Parafox replied to Daggers's topic in General Chat
My Brother in Law, Ian Neale, passed away to a brain tumour this week. Not famous, not really remembered, but he represented GB gymnastics in the 1976 Montreal Olympics. He didn't get among the medals despite his best efforts. He did achieve European and other international success in gymnastics competitions and we have several trophies the reflect this. Nobody on here will know of him. He was granted the freedom of Coventry ( I know) as a result of his achievements. He was well known as a competitor and then a coach for the GB gymnastics team. Just a small mention for someone who achieved quite a bit, albeit relatively unknown. If you're mildly interested: RIP, Ian. ian neale gymnast - Google Search- 667 replies

I've lost strength and some mobility due to issues with my lumbar spine after years of lifting fat old (and young) people down their stairs and into and out of the ambulances before the days of ramps and lifting equipment that is around now. It takes me about 48hrs to get full mobility back after being in goal at 5 a side for an hour. I don't dive around anymore but the physical activity takes it's toll. In my head I'm still the goalkeeper I was back in my 20's. Now, if I drop to the floor to make a save, it takes a a while to get back up and I sometimes have to use the frame of the goal as a support.

I turned 70 a couple of weeks ago but I certainly don't feel it. I'm pretty fit physically and mentally although it takes me longer to recover from any exertion, ( I still take part in weekly 5 a side games) but in my mind I'm still about 25. Fortunately I don't have any health concerns and I seem to have inherited my dad's longevity. He lived to 91. It's weird because I feel like I should be decrepit, but I suppose that's because, during my working life, I met so many that were decrepit and ill at my age. Obviously I never came across those that were generally fit and well. I don't know how to age, if that makes sense. I feel like I should feel as old as I am but I don't. Don't get me wrong, I like being well and relatively fit but, in my head I still can't get past being the 25 year old me .

Nah. She just looks like she did.

Yuk. No. The driest bird I've ever met Gammon joint and a nice mature beef joint cooked well with home made red wine reduction gravy. Anything moist and tender....

I agree to a point, however this is not causing death by reckless driving, nobody died. It's not conspiracy to murder. There was no conspiracy as he was a solo operator. It can't be attempted murder as there was no premeditation. It can't be manslaughter as no one was killed. IMO 21 years seems harsh given his outright guilty plea but, as you say, there could be some sentence weighting by the judge for the Liverpool "effect". I wonder if there's a precedent for sentencing on a case like this.

I enjoyed the first series having really got into the game on the PS.

Annual Rag week was great for students back in the day.

You've got wood and you'd rail her?

Not quite an airhead but certainly a Trump sycophant.

I haven't been following the case or media reports that closely, but this is something I didn't know.

But none of us knows his true life history. Or the reasons why he became this person. I'm not defending his actions, more like trying to think beyond the event and what he was experiencing at the time.

I use it fairly often and it seems drivers treat it like a motorway without recognising there are minor junctions and right/left turns along the length of it. It's a nasty road and needs things like static speed cameras as well as high profile warning signs ahead of junctions.

Was it ever challenged that the "rage" had a reason, such as PTSD? I'm not defending his actions but I'm questioning the back story. There seems to be something amiss. I think there'll be an appeal.
-
Why wasn't the ex-veteran PTSD used either, unless it couldn't be proven to be a factor I guess.

3 weeks later, Liam is still in QMC head injury ICU. He was taken back to theatre a few days ago as he had a further bleed on his brain and is still on an on demand ventilator and now has a tracheotomy in place. His responses are minimal and haven't really improved in any noticeable way. The phrase "giving someone a good kicking" makes me feel sick when you see the consequences.

Would you celebrate/be happy/proud if they did? I think I already know the answer.

Best goals we've seen at the King Power

I didn't say Hazard won us the title but when that goal went in it made Spurs third and us champions and the collective celebrations in the pub were so joyous and emotional. Jeez. Way to deflate my feelings. -

Not LCFC or the KP but this is the only goal that has ever made me cry happy tears. FF to 2:20 mins -

This is the kind of post that deserves the shagging I got for my stupid post about UFS last night. -
LCFC 3-1 Ipswich, post-match thread
Parafox replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yes, actually. When I read back what I'd posted and the responses, I was somewhat embarrassed and can only put it down to some kind of out of body event where somebody else had done the typing. I think his name is Jack Daniels. Although, they are a bit Marmite tbf.
