Could potentially be a good loan move for some players we feel may not get enough game time to develop this season.

Ordinarily I’m of the opinion that the club needs to build a vision and philosophy, then sign head coaches (not managers) and staff around that vision, similar to the Red Bull network. Then when they either get sacked or poached, we sign a new head coach that fits into the mould of the club. We built a foundation under Pearson of signing young, hungry players with a point to prove and clear sell on value, slightly moved away from it under Ranieri and then Puel pulled the club back on track with the transfers he brought in. Since then we’ve dismantled everything that made this club great. I’m slightly of the opinion that right now, we don’t need a head coach, we need a manager who can sort this mess out, drag the incompetent owners into place and then we can build the foundation for the future. I don’t think the owner/board know how to rebuild the foundation that Pearson and Puel were building and they are clearly incapable of bringing in people that can. If we brought in someone massively ambitious as DOF I’d not be so concerned about the head coach as the club would be moving in a clear direction, right now we are completely directionless. If we are not going to bring in another DOF then I think we may need a Puel/Pearson/Dyche mould of manager. That kind of goes against my top pick, but I just can’t see where we are going at the moment apart from backwards, our young exciting players are literally the only reason I even care about this club at the moment.

Yep, I don’t want either really as I can’t stand the football but Southgate would be the most KPFC signing ever.
-
If the club are still determined to play boring sideways football wouldn’t be against giving it back to Puel to be honest. It wouldn’t be my first choice at all, but he’s proven as a builder, he has a clear direction, isn’t afraid to drop players and would certainly shift on the deadwood. His record in the transfer market is generally very positive throughout his career, he knows the club, knows the owner and I think would stabilise us and fight for playoffs providing the deduction isn’t stupid. Plenty of others I’d rather go for like Rohl or Hassenhuttl, but Puel could also provide the direction the club needs as a whole, I think most people would agree he would be a very good choice for DOF, if he still wants to manage maybe he’s the sort of person we need to manage on the pitch and drag this incompetent ownership forward off the pitch.

Exactly. If the club don’t want him they have to pay for their mistakes, just frustrating to see people then leaping to the conclusion that this is RvNs plan and he has no intention of taking us forward. Seems to me he wants to stay if given the chance, given the fact he was told he would have money in January and now it looks like we need to offload 50m of players in the next couple of weeks and are facing a points deduction, if he does still want to stick around then I’d say that’s a big plus on his character.
-
I do completely understand the speculation on RVN “waiting for a payoff” but I think that’s also being very harsh to him. In my opinion it became clear he wanted to stay on providing he got clarity over the clubs vision and whether it aligned with him. For as many mistakes as he made, I think it’s harsh to just baselessly claim he doesn’t want to be here and he’s just using the club for a payday, I think it’s a bit of a leap to judge his character like that without any real evidence. Maybe he is, but I’ve no evidence to suggest that.

It’s pretty much impossible, but Leicester should be 100% putting their hat in the ring for Ange. You just never know what people might do. It’s not going to happen but it doesn’t hurt to try.

I've been calling for it for a while now. Ralf Rangnick is not in it for the money, he's reportedly earning £2-3m in his Austria post. I'd happily take £5m a season from the transfer budget and give it to him. Him overseeing our club and building us a proper network is worth more than the majority of £5m players we are likely to sign in the future. Ambitious as hell to go for him, but he opted out of his role at United and took the Austria gig, so who knows what he would be open to, advisory role until his time with them ends and then he could take over as DOF? My guess is though, Top would need to prove he is willing to actually change anything in order to bring in the calibre of RR.

Ralf Rangnick DOF Ralph Hassenhuttl Manager Ralf Schumacher driving the team bus Ralph Lauren kit sponsor Make it happen.

Also has a really good contact network. Definitely should be a top 5 target imo. He had some bad days at Southampton and rightly can be criticised but I think it's been evidenced that he was keeping them above water and they were better off keeping him.

They see me ROHL IN.....

Rangers is a great move for Martin. No doubt he would have improved us as a club but I just couldn't watch another season of Enzoball on steroids. It's about time we break away from this obsession with being Man City's B team and actually play the way that built the foundation for our success, high pressing, counter attacking, fast paced football. I watch football to be entertained, long term results obviously matter, but I'd much rather win and be entertained than be bored to sleep and pick up 3 points.

And to make it worse, he didn’t even need to give the position back in the first place. Red Bull assumed they would get a penalty if they didn’t give it back, but the FIA deemed it a racing incident leading up to the collision and were not going to hand out a penalty or force the position to be given up.

He's quite clearly clear of Lando already. WDC for sure

If I've missed something I apologise, afaik the 10 seconds was for the collision with Leclerc and 1st collision with george, the 2nd collision with george where he rammed him is being investigated post race. I expect he will be disqualified.

Ferrari dithering again. I said 3-4 laps ago they need to swap positions and let Lewis take the tow from a faster Charles. Why am I able to see this obvious strategy call 4 laps before Ferrari? 6s gap to make up now instead of 2.5s.

Stroll has withdrawn from the race because of pain in his hand that he had surgery on in 2023, presumably it’s flared up post qualifying. As far as I’m aware since stroll competed in qualifying and no reserve driver has taken part in any of the free practice sessions, Aston Martin are unable to enter a second driver into the race. Could be wrong on that though.

Huge fan of Salz over the last few years, there’s a couple of players I’d love to snatch from them too, Oscar Gloukh will 100% move to the Bundesliga in the next season or so, could be worth snapping up if we have to sell the likes of Bilal although I’m not sure the prices would be wildly different so maybe would t be appropriate right now. Love the Red Bull system, love their network. I still maintain that given Rangnick is reportedly only on 30k a week in his capacity as Austria coach, I would LOVE to see us put in an ambitious bid for him to become DOF. Rangnick guiding Cinel could be a gamble that sets us up for the future.

Statistically across the majority of metrics it was a very poor season for him, but that’s in a squad which generally just lacked any sort of quality. His first handful of games were electric and he massively tailed off making many big mistakes on the way, I think he probably needs more loan time at a club that is going forwards and not backwards to get the best out of him, I’m not sure he will get much first team minutes in that Brighton side next season just yet. Hell of a player in there though. -
Yeah we can’t let him know he’s jumping out of the frying pan just yet 🤣
-
Hopefully he’s putting a good word in to DR and he comes with him

Wednesday are in my opinion bang on for an embargo now. I don’t even want Rohl because of his management skills, it feels more like a humanitarian mission.. Operation rescue Danny

So they should be putting in a bid in summer then? Would be cheap and it’s a massive PSR hand for us. If he’s been that good they will surely be putting an offer in.
