  1. I think it’s time to start the Ruud In society…
  2. The fanbase obviously don’t want Martin, but the fans made it completely untenable for RVN to stay. We just knew they were going to do something stupid.
  3. We didn’t mean it Ruud please stay
  4. Yeah, it’s genuinely a good interview and he speaks really well. But about half way through he admits he’s more determined than ever to play his way…. Ruud in.
  5. If fans are genuinely against this, it can be reversed. As long as it’s not confirmed before Bournemouth, the fans can voice it, they won’t listen but atleast voice it on match day.
  6. Love the way he talks (his interview with lineker was very good) love that he isn’t afraid to play a younger squad and sign younger players, love that he has a clear identity and philosophy and will build the club around that philosophy. Absolutely detest the boring sideways football he offers. Genuinely surprised so many of the Enzo supporters on here aren’t excited by a return to sideways ball. They aren’t like for like obviously but Russell has far more in common with Enzo than he does differences imo. I really hope that all of the talk during his Lineker interview about recognising his mistakes is genuine, and I hope to god him admitting he’s more determined to play his way than ever was a lie. I do quite like RM, but the football…. Genuinely, **** this board.
  7. If true suggests we are likely going to sell Kristiansen or possibly Thomas but Celtic are paying half of his 60k palace wages, even on a free transfer he's going to want 40k a week minimum he's hardly going to want to cut his wages in half, we need to get off of this spending addiction. EDIT: I thought he was 30 for some reason, he's 32. Absolutely not.
  8. I guess it depends how much we need to do to comply really, ideally we want to get rid of of Vestergaard, Kristiansen, Ricardo (😭) Daka, BDCR, Ayew, Winks, Coady, Hermansen for the profit and then look at the names mentioned if we still fall short, my guess would be if we could get those players above off the books (even at a book loss) it would stand us in good stead to keep hold of the likes of BEK/Nelson etc. We only broke PSR by a small amount in 22/23 despite having a wage bill that was £30m above anyone else through player sales and big earners leaving, hopefully we can shift some on. I know they’ve been largely awful this season but I think players like Faes can get a move for a few million somewhere in Europe, and Kristiansen did a good job in Serie A last season. Fingers crossed.
  9. AFAIK although it's the premier league bringing the case against us, because it happened in the championship season they can defer the punishment to them.
  10. Don't get me wrong I completely agree and this scenario is a best case scenario, a lot of it will be down to WHO we can get rid of, if for example we fail to ship out Faes, Daka, Coady etc, we may then be in a position where we are forced to sell players like El Khannouss, Fatawu or Nelson. I'm curious to know how the EFL deal with certain scenarios, say they come in and force us to produce a business plan, and part of that plan is to sell one of the big wage earners like Winks, if we are offered lowball fees for him which would result in us losing money, would the EFL accept us making another book loss to try to achieve wage stability? Or would they say "that's great you got 90k per week off the books, but you still made a book loss so you've breached again here's another deduction" It's a weird merry-go-round, we can't afford to keep these players but because of PSR breaches we can't afford to lose them for a cheap fee if it results in a loss of money on the books.
  11. As bad as this is, part of me can see a small silver lining that the EFL/PL are essentially coming in and forcing us to sell everyone. Even if it means cut price deals I don't care, get these charlatans out of the club. Start again on a sustainable wage budget, build the squad around youth, bring in a competent DOF like Pearson, Puel or someone else who actually have an eye for a player and a direction and isn't afraid to stand up to the club when it's needed. If this means we go into next season with Faes, Winks, Coady, Ndidi, Ayew, BDCR, Vestergaard, Soumare, Daka and Kristiansen off the books, so be it, If it means we go into next season with a wage budget that is not 102% of our revenue, and we have to maybe settle for a mid table season before rebuilding, I would 100% take that scenario over us trying to somehow keep all of these plates spinning and getting deduction after deduction and spiralling to relegation. Nip it in the bud NOW, fix the foundations and rebuild. If we try to keep ANY player who is earning more than 50k a week we deserve every bit of pain we get. Try to build the squad around this: (Monga not in the database, also aware that we may have to sell El Khannouss which, if anything, would probably give us a better chance of keeping Monga) Bench/Match day rotation: Braybrooke, Souttar, Coulibaly, Golding, Mcateer, Evans, Wanya Marcal The missing pieces can be looking at AFFORDABLE loan players, Kroupi at Bournemouth will probably go out on loan again (striker just scored 22 in ligue 2) Is this the most effective way to guarantee promotion again next season? Probably not, but we look like we might not have much choice but it's sustainable and at some point we have to address the issue of our board having a spending addiction.
  12. Posted by John Morris (Vardys agent) To Jamie, It was a pleasure working with you. I wish you all the best in the future with your beautiful family. Take care, Ruud Van Nistelrooy I’ve always got the impression there is a big mutual respect there and that they got on well.
  13. If Pearsons health permits and he fancies an office job, I know just the role for him…
  14. Kasey had a fantastic start to last season under Enzo but tailed off a bit toward the middle/end of the season and I think as a fan base he's been somewhat written off. However, his attitude in this interview is first class, I keep using the word "foundation" when talking about the next steps of the club, hearing Kasey say "To get my first premier league goal it's what dreams are made of and to do it at this club is a dream come true" This. This right here is the foundation we need to create, building a club full of players who either dreamt of playing for us as a fan, or were honoured to sign for us and wear the shirt when coming from elsewhere. I think the Right Wing position is one we don't need to worry about next season with Fatawu and Kasey there.
  15. Great to see Lloyd Dyer on the pitch too, easy to forget he made over 200 appearances for us as we stabilised out of League 1 toward the premier league.
  16. I understand the sentiment however I want #9 to be the shirt that every single young striker in our academy, and every single young striker we sign dreams of wearing, it should be the pinnacle of representing this club at the top level. Leicesters #9 shirt should be for our academy and our signings as important as the Manchester United #7, it shouldn’t be given to players lightly.
  17. What an absolute pleasure it's been, christ, 13 years. Time really does fly doesn't it? Through hard work, determination and a bit of fortune Leicester City created a decade of football that will go down in history as one of the greatest periods for a "smaller" team ever, in any sport. We were so fortunate as fans to watch Jamie and he fully deserves to be properly honoured by the club and immortalised with a statue or at the very least a stand named after him. Now we have to get back to the hard graft of resetting, rebuilding, and taking this club back to a position where we can create these memories again. Optimism over pessimism, we as fans need to hold the club to account and make sure the club builds on one of the greatest periods of football in the clubs history. Thank you, Jamie. The greatest Leicester City player ever.
  18. Think he stays after this result. I've been a vocal advocate for Danny Rohl for about 12 months, and there are multiple candidates I'd take over Ruud, we cannot ignore the results and some of the performances, however we must also acknowledge that we have performed well in quite a few games under Ruud even when results didn't go our way due to mistakes/missing chances, West Ham, Brighton, Man City, Liverpool, Southampton, Ipswich today and a few others. We have beaten both of the teams that are going down with us quite comfortably and recently there have been a couple of positions that have taken a bit of pressure off of us in the transfer window in Thomas, Stolarczyk and Justin. We have a decent core of young players and the potential to possibly keep El Khannouss could create a really exciting team next season. We were absolutely awful under Ruud for much of his time here, but we have put in some decent performances here and there, and there is no doubt we have improved recently against the teams we are set to face next season. I believe we have a core of a squad that can compete at that level next year without the need for 10+ in and out in the window. I believe that we can fight for promotion with most of the candidates we are linked with, most of the candidates fans have suggested, but also with Ruud in charge. After the first few games in the disaster run, for me, the question became less about "can Ruud keep us up" and more "is he showing he can rebuild and get us promoted", for a large part of that run the answer was no, but recently I believe Ruud has shown a glimpse of what next season could look like. The most important aspect of this rebuild imo is not Ruud, it's the DOF position and our plan as a club to build a foundation based around an actual identity and direction. If we get into the summer and our main manager targets have decided to go elsewhere or turned us down, I won't be too worried if we give Ruud a summer window and 10 games to prove he can get us up, but we simply have to make sure that any signings in and out are made with a blueprint in mind so that should we be in a poor position after 10 games we can replace him with a manager who can continue the direction with a few tweaks rather than going down the Manchester United route of needing a rebuild every season because the new manager doesn't have the same philosophy as the last. I still want us to go for Rohl, but if it's Ruud I can just about forget this season (I desperately want to) and start fresh in summer.
  19. Justin has definitely recovered his form the past few months, he was costing us a goal a game under Cooper but he's shown a fantastic attitude to knuckle down and keep showing for the ball. If it comes down to it and we struggle to find replacements for key areas of the pitch and maybe fall short on our top targets, I don't think the full back position is one we are desperately short on at the Championship level. He's not the player we were hoping he would be when he came back from his big injury a few seasons ago, but replacing him is not a massive priority compared to other positions imo.
  20. To clarify, if it came across in a different way that was not my intention, I am fully aware this is fully my opinion. I did not intent at any point to suggest my opinion is something all motorsport fans agree with. It seems to me you are trying to tell me what I believe. Great overtake on Piastri but Max has been flawless today, got lucky on the first VSC, would have been nice to see a late battle with Norris and Max, although on a track like this I can guess what the end result would have been between them both Masterclass from Max
  21. The audience expects whatever they are given. They were not given a choice or an option. If the footage was stabilised when it was introduced, then the audience would expect that. But again, the camera exaggerates it, the camera creates a far more artificial view of those forces than the driver experiences in reality. You aren't seeing what the driver sees, and the nature of the camera means you are not being given an accurate representation of what the driver feels. It's bad in both instances. Anyway, my point still stands, the helmet cam in it's current form does a poor job of showing the viewer a realistic representation of the forces the driver is feeling, or what the driver is seeing. I'm not trying to diminish the forces in any way. We aren't going to agree on this, so best to move on
  22. I didn't say I wanted it to be more "artificial", the footage itself is artificial and exaggerates the forces relative to how the drivers bodies deal with the forces you are telling me you want to appreciate it, and that's not me for a moment trying to reduce the stresses they are under, it's just the nature of cameras. I fully understand it's my opinion, not sure why you keep saying it over and over as if I've argued that it isn't at any point? We are arguing for the sake of arguing at this point
  23. But the helmet cam with no stabilisation does not give us a good understanding of the forces. Let me clarify, the drivers are under immense forces that neither you or me could handle, and I'm not in any way trying to pretend they are less than they seem. But an unstabilised helmet camera is an awful way of portraying those forces, because the lack of stabilisation makes it look like the driver is completely unable to keep themselves straight, it looks like they have no control when in reality, to their credit they do. In reality, these drivers have incredible strength and are able to fight the g-forces. WATCH: Ride onboard with Lewis Hamilton around Suzuka with new dynamic camera angle | Formula 1® The helmet cam does a very poor job of showing the driver fighting those forces. Imo, the exaggerated nature of unstabilised camera footage is less impressive than seeing the behind the helmet cam or the camera above the driver in seeing how much they are able to control under the extreme circumstances. Cameras don't portray bouncing the way a human body does, they also make vibrations and bouncing more pronounced.
