  1. Definitely worth getting up for imo, Hamilton shafted by very poor Ferrari strategy again.
  2. Is this F1? I don't know, but the racing has been fantastic so far. What a battle 4 laps in.
  3. GET IN THERE LEWIS!! What a start!
  4. It’s amazing isn’t it, we’ve simplified the game, gone more direct in transition and we don’t pass the ball sideways for the sake of passing, and instead of the route one 90s football that so many fans accused people of wanting, it’s actually resulted in a more entertaining match.
  5. Suuuuper super gaz!! still a long way to go, but day by day he’s chipping away at us and improving areas of our game, this was the first match we really put it into a 90 minute performance. Defended decently for us, attacked and created chances, dealt with pressure well, an all round good performance. I won’t quote James Maddison but you know where I’m going.
  6. Atleast another 4
  7. I’m slightly concerned that the merc advantage is not exactly what people think it is. It speaks volumes when all of the speculation about the engine was that they were gaining the compression ratio advantage when the engine was hot, then when teams brought forward the challenge and pressured the FIA to bring in new tests for the compression when the engine was above 150c, Merc then surprisingly said “yep that’s fine with us, let’s bring those rules in” I doubt if that was the full extent of their engine tricks they would just go along with it, I suspect they probably have something else up their sleeves that people may have missed and may still retain a decent advantage even after the new regs come in after the summer. unless I’ve missed something of course, the speculation has been bouncing around for months and the whole thing became a bit of a mess.
  8. Can’t catch a break. Positive signs though for his start and his race pace
  9. Front 3 absolutely flying
  10. There’s been loads of hate from fans about the regs but I actually think the aero regs looks good, it’s the engine regs that look to have been overlooked a bit with the clipping, but if the regs atleast produce good racing wont mind providing they actively try to fix that issue
  11. Jesus, what a start from Ferrari that smaller turbo is no joke
  12. Expecting some strategy chaos today, hopefully max puts in a good performance, Ferrari better be damn faster after getting up at this time.
  13. I’m just going to be repeating what everyone else said about the state of the game overall, but I have to say, Jordan Ayew needs to be banished from the history of this club the moment he leaves and as a fanbase we need to pretend he never pulled the shirt on. Seeing him come on with little time left and not even break out of a jog is utterly disgraceful. There have been times I’ve defended him especially under Marti where he was clearly instructed to drop deep, but it’s just the complete lack of ****s given from the likes of him and others that hang this club in the balance of having to fight off administration. He might as well have been walking. Put literally anyone on the bench upfront ahead of him. Absolutely sick to death of seeing him jogging and walking everywhere. Disgraceful behaviour from someone earning far more than he deserves.
  14. Well if it wasn't "official" before, it is now. When you get a HITC Sevens video you know you're bang in trouble.
  15. Jesus christ, they are PAYING for this. Is this not the perfect example of why our club is in such a financial mess, we are paying to advertise framed shirts of players who aren't even at the club we sold them to 6 months ago.
  16. If we can continue to play how we did last night for the rest of the season but we still go down due to individual errors, i'd be happy to see Gary stay and rebuild. That said, if we play how we did last night in every game for the rest of the season I think we will be comfortable. Need to continue improving.
  17. Im not sure he's the sort of player that will turn out like a John Stones type of ball playing defender who can drive into midfield, so having Gary Rowett in focusing on a simpler style of defending will suit him massively, I wouldn't be surprised to see become well clear of every defender bar Lascelles come the end of the season, which will no doubt trigger a transfer.
  18. Pros: - Should have nicked a winner, but ultimately 2-2 was fair, and most would have taken a draw - Link up play looked better in the second half relative to a lot of the rubbish MC put in front of us - Players for the first time this season actually showed some fight - Winks road to redemption? Showed fight, passion, and celebrated with fans - 2 defensive howlers but as a unit, we looked better structured - Players responded to whatever Rowett said in the 2nd half - Good platform to improve on Cons: - First half was non-league - 2 defensive bozo moments I don't think many would have been expecting a comfortable 3-0 win with a huge bounce. Most teams have a bounce after a poor 3-month spell results in a manager getting sacked, this has been 5 years of building a very weak mentality club. For the first time in a while, that second half showed me sparks of what I absolutely loved about the Pearson/Ranieri team. Good start imo Gary, this club has been a freight train with no brakes for years on the wrong track.
  19. I was having a good day today then I stubbed my toe and it's all King Powers fault. I'm doubtful it will happen, but I'm just waiting for us to go on an insane run now under GR and for me to be even more pissed off at the incompetent board taking so long to do anything about Marti. We were effectively 10 points off playoffs with half the season to go (including the deduction) and they just had to take the piss allowing MC to stink the place out for 5-10 games too long, then took almost a month to replace him. We went from having a mathematical chance of saving ourselves a LOT of pain by looking UP the table and fighting for the playoffs, to now desperately looking over our shoulders at how low we can go if GR doesn't work a miracle. The board seems to think football waits.
  20. Well it was either going to be someone from Southampton or City wasn't it. I guess the obsession with sideways ball is taking a temporary break to save the club then back to the plan in summer, because of the 8 seasons we've been obsessing over Pep ball, it's gone really well for us.
  21. His Derby team were the 3rd best attack in the league, I’m holding onto the delusion that he can get Monga/Fatawu/Mavididi firing again. If Daka scores more than 5 goals for the rest of the season give Rowett a 30 year deal
  22. I’ll back him 100% but I’m not fully sold, as an interim it probably works because he’s got a decent record of going in as a firefighter, the question remains whether he can sustain that if he keeps us up comfortably and then gets given a new contract. I feel about this how I felt about our links to Carrick, not blown away but a big improvement. Hopefully Rowett can have the impact Carrick has, may just be a new manager bounce but United are playing some fantastic football in tight spaces and they seem to be very confident under him. Unless United collapse I think the Carrick ship has now sailed and he will go on to either get the job there like Ole or perhaps end up at a mid/lower mid table club in the prem. Maybe this is the long term job Rowett needed to take his management to the next level.
  23. He will want to be here, seems to hold players to account, and drives standards; his teams are often quite aggressive from what I've seen. If he signs the deal i'll be right behind him, I'll be glad to get rid of sideways ball for a start. He's been at quite unstable clubs in the past and often made decent work with what he has had, so hopefully with us having some decent individual quality, if he can find a formula that gels us together, we might pick up the points needed to stay up, from there we can hopefully build. Please, Gary, please don't kill this optimism by immediately picking Luke Thomas and Ayew.
  24. Contact Torquay, sign a deal with them to send them youth players next season (if they get promoted) and bring in Warnock as interim.
