Yep, in previous years it would take 3-4 laps to get close enough for the DRS to work, most tracks even with DRS you needed to be within 0.3-0.4s to have a chance of an overtake, so you could be within DRS for 3 laps before you could strike, Yesterday we saw George overtake Lewis when he was 0.9s behind him at the start of the straight. It does create a bit of a "yoyo" effect where one car uses his battery, the other lets the pass happen and simply takes him straight back, but i'd rather that than past seasons where we've seen cars not be able to overtake for 10 laps despite being within DRS.

What a great drive from Kimi Antonelli, great performance and very mature despite the lockup mistake, fully deserved, big future ahead!

It's a sad state of affairs, because relegation will financially ruin us even further, it could even push us into admin? But it feels like that's the only thing that would stop this board making more catastrophic financial blunders. It feels inevitable that if we somehow stay up, we will continue the same mistakes and eventually go down anyway.

These cars really seem to suit Lewis' driving style compared to previous generations, he's really showing great racecraft so far in the 3 races we've had, I think most fans expected he'd lost his edge and Leclerc was now the faster driver, the first 3 races beg t to differ.

Slept on it, and I just cannot accept the fact Rowett went with Ayew to start, and said he cannot justify starting Lacelles over either Okoli or Nelson, at the very least Nelson needed hooking at half time, he was rocky as hell and progressively getting worse. I can also understand Rowett saying that right now he needs to probably focus more on experience rather than just throwing the youth on, but we needed an injection of energy far sooner than he took to make it, and his constant refusal to make subs early is frustrating to see. We have improved, but the PPG is not good enough, and i'm concerned we are on the egde of freefall and seeing another RVN style run. I just can't get my head around Ayew and Lacelles decisions though, really concerning and makes me second guess GR massively, if he somehow keeps us up, I'm thinking maybe we look elsewhere. Hoping I'm wrong.

Great restart for the Ferraris, hopefully George will struggle with his tyres for a while to atleast give us a bit of excitement before he inevitably gets back into the top 2

Thanks mate

The problem is as a sport we want teams to have freedom to create their own version of a car within the rules, but we don’t want them to need 6 months to make changes to catch up because of a budget cap, but we also can’t allow teams like Ferrari and Merc to just outspend everyone like before. I don’t know what the solution is to the team domination issue we suffer from every time there’s new regs, I’m beginning to wonder if reverse grid is the middle ground to give us good racing without 1 team just careering off into the distance the moment they get clean air.

What happened to the McLarens btw?

Being guaranteed a good first 3 laps is a good foundation for fans just need Ferrari to pull their finger out on race pace vs Merc!

I'm in a bad place gents, I was at a friends last night seeing his family and ended up staying awake for the sprint, went to bed at 4.30, up at 6.30 for qualifying, and now I'm deep on 2 hours sleep and my eyeballs have been subjected to Jordan Ayew jogging around the pitch during another capitulation. Please F1, please give me something tomorrow. I'm so sick of this club.
-
Players are to blame, but that doesn't excuse his management in this game, subs needed to come earlier, Ayew needed to be dropped, and Lascelles 'cannot be justified' to start ahead of Okoli. This isn't on the manager completely, but he's contributed by not being proactive when it was absolutely obvious we were capitulating.
-
He started Okoli again who has been shakey, Nelson has had a shocker and was getting worse as the game went on and nothing changed, Rowett said he "can't justify" dropping Okoli to play Lascelles, that is the biggest red flag I've ever seen from a football manager. Ayew has jogged around the pitch and offered nothing for the 134th consecutive game, Daka is a donkey but he runs and tries hard. It was absolutely obvious when we went to 1-1 we needed to make a sub at half-time. As usual Rowett refuses to make a sub before 60-65 mins and the game went exactly as so many of us watching along on BTG said it would.
-
Total capitulation, Rowett has managed this game awfully, so many mistakes from both him and the players. The club is on a knife edge and so are my emotions, 10 minuts into this game I'm thinking "Yeah we have improved under Rowett, he could be the stability we need in summer", 50 mins later he looks like he hasn't got a clue how to manage this game, the players are ultimately letting him down, but for gods sake, why does it take 60 minutes to make any subs, it was obvious by 35 mins we have multiple players on eggshells and multiple players playing poorly. Really disappointed in Rowett today.

Definitely worth getting up for imo, Hamilton shafted by very poor Ferrari strategy again.
-
Is this F1? I don't know, but the racing has been fantastic so far. What a battle 4 laps in.

GET IN THERE LEWIS!! What a start!
-
It’s amazing isn’t it, we’ve simplified the game, gone more direct in transition and we don’t pass the ball sideways for the sake of passing, and instead of the route one 90s football that so many fans accused people of wanting, it’s actually resulted in a more entertaining match.
-
Suuuuper super gaz!! still a long way to go, but day by day he’s chipping away at us and improving areas of our game, this was the first match we really put it into a 90 minute performance. Defended decently for us, attacked and created chances, dealt with pressure well, an all round good performance. I won’t quote James Maddison but you know where I’m going.
-
Atleast another 4

SUUUPER SUPER GAZ

I’m slightly concerned that the merc advantage is not exactly what people think it is. It speaks volumes when all of the speculation about the engine was that they were gaining the compression ratio advantage when the engine was hot, then when teams brought forward the challenge and pressured the FIA to bring in new tests for the compression when the engine was above 150c, Merc then surprisingly said “yep that’s fine with us, let’s bring those rules in” I doubt if that was the full extent of their engine tricks they would just go along with it, I suspect they probably have something else up their sleeves that people may have missed and may still retain a decent advantage even after the new regs come in after the summer. unless I’ve missed something of course, the speculation has been bouncing around for months and the whole thing became a bit of a mess.
-
Can’t catch a break. Positive signs though for his start and his race pace
-
Front 3 absolutely flying

There’s been loads of hate from fans about the regs but I actually think the aero regs looks good, it’s the engine regs that look to have been overlooked a bit with the clipping, but if the regs atleast produce good racing wont mind providing they actively try to fix that issue
