I booked my honeymoon through Hayes and Jarvis. They were spot on but probably on the more expensive side than other agents

Compared to London and other major cities it ain’t a great experience but reasonable value and essential for getting to the outer boroughs and attractions. Otherwise you can walk most places in Midtown and up to Central Park I found.

Barnacles in Hinckley is my favourite restaurant - Great for seafood and steaks and well worth a trip out.

After a wedding/engagement band to play a party in Leicester? If anyone can put me in contact with some cover bands with reasonable rates or somebody that plays acoustic guitar live around leicester that would be appreciated.

Any decent garages in leicester to get brake fluid changed? Don't want to be spending too much.

Any suggestions of good places to visit/walk/explore in Leicestershire and perhaps a little further a field (not Braggeh park, rutland water and all the usual places).

Watched Drive earlier on BBC Iplayer, quality film! The imagery and soundtrack is really impressive. Happened to have seen seen Ryan Gosling in a few films recently by chance, think I got a man crush..

Yeah he's decent but a bit miserable at the same time.. Few good barbers on the Syston high street too if people live that way.

Anyone been to see the new superman yet? Keen to know what other people thought of it, as I thought it was load of rubbish! First hour was decent enough, however, the rest of it was so boring.

Okay, so my car is crap, I have had an issue with it for some time however I haven't bothered to get it checked cause it usually sorts it self out but I would be interested to know if it could lead to a bigger problem if left... sometimes (although not often) when I start the car in the morning or when i've left it standing for a while, the car doesn't get out of gear 2 and I have to trundle along until I can stop and start the car again, then it is fine again. Recently this has been happening but in a higher gear, so I had trundle along on the bypass at 40 until I could stop in a layby. Is this a big issue? Or should I just live with it, bearing in mind it doesn't happen that often. Thank you and much love.

I would say yes, especially if you can get your hands on some vouchers, they usually have some good deals and the food is good. Nothing special though.

watched Wanderlust and Horrible Bosses on Sky the other day, Aniston gets better with age! Decent films too, the latter more so.

In the process of de-cluttering as moving into a new flat soon, so selling some stuff on ebay and it amazes me the amount of money people will pay for random stuff. I'm not complaining and its all in good condition but the sun must've gone to peoples heads this weekend. Sold my acoustic guitar which i've had for 2 years old and bought second hand anyway, and made £50 profit, also sold some old running gear and made profit too. Tempted to put more on but at this rate i'll have nothing to take with me!

Watch Coriolanus last night on BBC, not a bad adaptation and good acting/directing by Ralph Fiennes but ultimately a very long film and not particularly interesting! Found the old english speak a bit annoying at times, didn't really fit with the setting of the film but nonetheless 2/5, good cast aswell.

Watched Adventureland on the BBC Iplayer last night, good film if you have some time to spare. Pretty standard indie film but funny nonetheless.
-
Good recommendation. Watched The Guard last night, really impressive film, quite dark but with some genuine laugh out loud moments. Gleeson makes the film.

Out of interest, has anyone read House of Leaves before? Sounds like a really intriguing book but cant tell from reviews if its any good!

What is the best red wine to buy for someone for a christmas present (type/country) ? Any good deals at the supermarkets? Spending up to £10, maybe a little more if decent stuff.

People who post status' every (other) day telling us about what they did at the gym and how much they ache. Heaven forbid you can go to gym like the rest of us normal people and not feel the need to post about it.
