I think it’s a bit of a shame. There was some stubbornness but he rightly called out the club’s hierarchy for the Sensi shitshow amongst other things. I quite liked the fact he wasn’t just a lapdog. We badly needed someone internally questioning how the club was and is being run. I don’t trust the board to adequately replace him whatsoever. Corberan is the only name linked I think would make a decent fist of next season because he can just about make silk purses from sow’s ears but I’m not sure he fits Top’s mythical ideology that we have to be Man City lite.

There's a couple of clubs had investment but there simply isn't the income (or fan interest from either in or outside Scotland) to keep them going beyond a certain ceiling, especially when the Old Firm swallow so much of the Scottish fanbase. Kelty, Gretna, maybe Cove(?) have all tried but ultimately levelled out, or fizzled out. I don't think you'll ever see an investor take a club from outside the professional pyramid and take them all the way to the top tier for generations, if ever.

I agree with you @bovril – some of our lot were laughing at Harry Kane going trophyless at Bayern this season because "ahahaha we wont a trophy and Kane still hasn't !!!!" completely stripping away the context of where we find ourselves and the relative standards each has been playing at. Plenty saying Maddison "missed out" on a trophy too, whilst Winks has gone and won one. The Spurs patter is repetitive and tiresome at best and mind-numbingly boring at worst.

Bit 80s/90s from Arsenal, I like it. The cannon on it's own looks great. They get the odd experimental duffer but I can't think of an English club that gets it so consistently right with kits and training wear too.
