It’s not that hard to believe Preston are 3rd when it’s so early on, you only need the rub of the green in a few games to be up there when it’s so congested by nature. Happens every season with a different side, they’ll fall away. There’s genuine quality in Sunderland, Boro and Leeds and I’d imagine all 3 will be in the play offs come May. We are class regardless but I’m pleased we’re so distanced from them already.

Water into wine doesn’t even begin to describe what Enzo has done with Vestergaard. A genuine miracle worker and now means our £7.5m summer signing has a real job on his hands getting in the side once he’s fully fit. Said elsewhere but it’s not just the playing well, it’s the fact he looks involved and engaged, too. For someone who was shunted out and lied to by Rodgers it’s some turnaround and it’s great to see a lot of fans (including me!) recognise he’s not just a Scandinavian Winston Bogarde.

A brilliant night despite the heartbreak. Fulop kept us in that, no chance we’d have gone down that season if he wasn’t recalled. Levi Porter was so good that evening too.

Categorically no chance do one of the biggest clubs in the world go for a Championship manager, despite what we might think of him.

I expect Preston to drop off so them taking points off Ipswich is a better result long term than an Ipswich win in my opinion - regardless of what it does to the gap to third today.

I don't think the job he's done with Vestergaard can be spoken about enough. Not just the fact he looks competent but also looks so engaged with everything after being out the door for what feels like forever. Everyone at the minute just seems to get it, lads like Akgun who are hovering on the periphery at the moment but know they have a part to play are seemingly loving it, it's brilliant. He's managing the squad fantastically so far with two anomalies in Daka and Souttar who I assume we just thought would be out the door. Complete antithesis to Rodgers and long may it continue.

I’ve seen this before and it’s brilliant but Ricky Tomlinson as ISIS Boss has just completely killed me.

We flirted with the play-offs post-Sousa once Sven came in and we had that really fun team of loanees including Yakubu and Naughton, but I think we lost away to Cardiff (?) in early spring 2011 and never quite looked the same after that.

I never tried Mobius and thought Sumo was what it was but I always loved Braunstone Gate. It was still great for a period after the bridge demolition but then felt like a gradual decline from about 2012 onwards. So many brilliant little places lost, amount of afternoons I spent in Loaf is beyond the pale!

It’s such a bizarre thing and it happened at the perfect time to be forgotten, pre social media boom and at a time when the internet was definitely in most people’s homes but nowhere near as accessible as it is now. I can’t even remember if he was even useful at that stage!

On the subject of Jason, anyone remember when he was actually announced in a press release as having been signed by the club, pics were done, the lot? Must’ve been about 2004.

I know a few people who have had the misfortune of working with / interviewing him, apparently an utter arse too.

Unfortunately a few sides are going to be let off the hook by virtue of the three promoted sides all being absolutely appalling.
