  1. I have a cat. If it wants to go anywhere, then it does.
  2. Yeah, I agree, but that's a different issue. On a seperate note, my girlfriend knows/knew that person I think, sad really.
  3. As I'v said before (in this thread I believe), I haven't "ignored the living conditions", it's the living conditions which I disagree with in particular, much more so than the method of execution. You don't have to become vegan to make sure the animals you've eaten weren't treated like shit during their lifetime.
  4. Yet if you argued that it didn't matter how people in Texas recieved the death penalty, because either way you end up with a dead human, then people would think you were crazy. As a race of people that (on the whole) have a conscience, I'd like to think we could avoid unneccessary suffering/pain on any living creature when possible. Maybe, but there's more outrage when one human goes missing then an entire generation of animals being inhumanely treated/killed.
  5. Humans are animals. And using historical precedent isn't the greatest of arguments - we also worshipped Gods for centuries, but that doesn't mean I should have to believe in Jesus.
  6. Hungover today. No longer a student - graduated on Wednesday, and went for our last night out before our accomodation runs out tomorrow.
  7. Watched Shaolin Soccer. Awesome and bad at the same time. Love it
  8. To be fair, I understand where OZ is coming from. Hypothetically, if the Government wanted to implement a vegetarian law (not that I'm saying this would ever happen), I don't think it would be too difficult for them to just stop breeding cattle to either a manageable level, or even altogether, and compensate the farmers for losses. You're right that it's not practical or the best plan financially, but to be honest since in this (unrealistic) hypothetical scenario we are assuming that everyone would want to be a vegetarian for purposes of animal rights, I'm assuming people would rather shoulder the burden of the extra cost than allow the animals to be slaughtered which would go against all their vegetarian ideals. But you're right that it would never happen, this is just assuming that we lived in a crazy government run vegetarian world; the problem is that most people (me included) wont want to become vegetarian because it's so much easier to not be one; meat is a very big market and it also tastes so damn good. Eating animals is also natural, there's no shame in it. It's how they're kept and treated that we should be looking at.
  9. I'm all for Animal rights. However, that's not the same as being a veggie. I don't mind eating animals as long as they were treated fairly during their life-time.
  10. My favourite programs 1. Friends (Obvious, but awesome) 2. Firefly 3. Buffy the Vampire Slayer 4. Heroes season one (the others aren't as good, but season one is amazing) 5. The peep show (for people that like awkward comedy) 6. The Mentalist (quite good as far as detective programs go) 7. Justice League (Only Seasons one and two, for people who like cartoons)
  11. I did Don't normally bet, but my friend won 1.5 grand a few weeks ago (lucky accumalator) so I thought I'd have a go. Cheeky £5 on West Brom/Man City double, made £47 profit Put a cheeky £4 on a chelsea win at 10/1 too
  12. I love crouch
  13. This for our goal music
  14. I remember watching Super Ted And Shoe people, Poddington Peas, James the cat and lots of other awesome programs. I had them on VHS too None of them beat Street Sharks or Biker Mice from Mars though
  15. Messed with my head for a while. Couldn't understand how simple maths was failing me.. However, you have £100 pounds of debt. You pay off £1 to your mum, £1 to your dad, thats £98 pounds of debt left. £1 is accounted for from the £1 you kept, and the other £97 is the cost of the shirt. I think the mind**** is that the £49 represents debt, not positive money. The "plus you pound = £99" is the trickery, as you're supposed to subtract a pound from that, not add one. That was much more difficult then it should have been...
  16. I'm all for assisted suicide, providing there are enough safe-guards to prevent people using it to bump of their old mum for an early inheritance. Surely it's more inhumane to force people to suffer?
  17. Essays. I meant to start this one five hours ago, and FT is distracting me
  18. I joined imperials, simply because I didn't want to lose lydia <3 Lydia
  19. So annoying!
  20. Milky-bar Advent Calendar
  21. Hospitals/Doctors. Had fairly poor experiences with them so far. Both doctors misdiagnosed me with groin strain, and told me to rest it for a few weeks. In reality, it was a hernia. Then I get sent from deparment to department for weeks, before eventually being told I'm on a 14 week waiting list. Have my surgery in a few hours. Hopefully an early christmas present.
  22. Yeah, that's my impression. I think you have to grind smithing to get the best weapons, which is such a pointless awful mind-numbing way to do it. I prefer the traditional go-on-massive-uber-hard-quest-and-kill-epic-boss to get good weapons and armour. Not making a thousand iron daggers. Which is shite anyway, because it levels up your total level, which I think levels up enemys as they scale with you I believe. So to make my weapons better, I have to make my enemys stronger. Even if the enemys and weapons dont level up in proportion, it still seems quite pointless..... Everyone seems to say this thieves quest is good though, so I might have to give that one a go.
  23. Got to admit, 50 hours through (I think), but not a massive fan. Positives: - It's long - Map is awesome - Exploring new places is fun - Lots and lots of quests Negatives - Most of the quests are fairly boring - Loading screens; so many of them and they take forever (though admittedly, I haven't saved to hard-drive, only having 4gb memory) - It's not much of a challenge. Am playing on standard difficulty, but past level 10 or so, I seem to breeze through most enemies - Too easy to glitch the difficult enemies. Also too easy to use glitches to level up - I hate smithing/Alchemy and to some extent, enchanting - Not a massive fan of the combat It's a fairly good game, and the size and scale of the map is very impressive (the best thing about the game!), however, I don't think the story line is at all gripping compared to something like Dragon Age, which was a much shorter gane, but had a great plot and characters/choices that you could empathise with, while the combat system I think isn't as good as Dark Souls. I feel the game kind of tailed of, for the first 25 hours I thought it was great, but I'v started to lose interest already. All in all, I would prob give the game 8/10. With Skyrims map, Dark souls combat system and Dragon Ages story line, you could make an amazing game though......
  24. Maybe I'l just have to buy an external and install it then.
