  1. You're right, it's done for catchiness purposes, but it only really seems to work in groups of three's. For example the whole... ...works. But add more things to it and it doesn't. Here's my made up example. At that point the message is lost, and it just becomes a list of things that aren't allowed. Again, at least in my opinion anyway. Then again, I did a degree in speaking bollocks (English) so I think i've just got used to reading too much into bugger all Disclaimer: Before someone posts "but you have a degree in English yet you have grammar mistakes/spelling mistakes/are talking complete bollocks" - I never said I was any good at it!
  2. Sorry, but the way it reads to me it, it implys one of two things. Either.... A) Unless you do all the afore mentioned things (like wearing jeans and shitting on the floor), there will be no service. Or B) You gym doesn't allow jeans/sandals, etc. but it also implies that you give crap (ie. no) service. For me, for the sign to work it would have to be either Or simply missing out the last line, so it says If this is a legit sign, then don't be suprised if all your visitors arrive wearing jeans, shirts and sandals and proceed to shit all over your floor.
  3. This. Plays havoc with my Xbox. Sometimes it wants to give me an open NAT connection, sometimes it wants to stick me on strict. Sometimes it doesn't want to let me access it, and sometimes on a whim it will randomly delete all the port fowarding that I've done.
  4. What grinds my gears? Captain Pancake Face's 'location' below his avatar, which is so long that it actually overlaps into his posts, making it more difficult to read them!
  5. Sounds like it sucks. Hope you're alright.
  6. Morrisons bakery sausage rolls. Oh, and tiger bread!
  7. Lower Primary. To tell the truth, I prefer years 3/4, but by the time I had to apply almost all of my work experience was in key stage one; I figured it was better to play the odds rather than having to wait another year to apply again. After all, I still enjoy working in KS1, and a few years down the line if I decide to switch to teaching the lower end of KS2, it probably wont matter so much at that point, as long as I have a few years under my belt.
  8. Cheers! No idea how I managed it, but I'm not going to complain. Things are starting to look up! I'm sure I will
  9. Any reason why? Anyway, today I found out that I managed to get a Primary PGCE offer from Leicester university, even though I thought I totally bombed the interview. Not a bad day!
  10. Have you changed your email password? Seem to remember that helped when it happened to me.
  11. My day was was ****ing shit. Absolutely wank. One of the worst in my life. Went for my third PGCE interview (having failed the other two last year.....) feeling fairly positive. Did well throughout most of the day, then categorically ****ed up the interview, simply because my mind went blank and I couldn't answer the most basic of questions. Don't have the results yet, but sometimes you just know that you have absolutely no chance. Spent a year working a crappy job and volunteering in schools in my spare time to try and get onto this course and now I'll have to really wait till next year if I want another shot at it. At the moment, I have no money (£11 left in my overdraft), soon to lose my job after march, no future job prospects and I don't even have my health. This was really my last opportunity this year to turn everything round. I'm really feeling about as low as I've ever felt before.
  12. Really? Because this.... ...seems pretty sensible to me.
  13. I just finished the first three seasons. It is amazing. I really want to learn the opening theme song on my ukulele
  14. Why, what should it say? Am I missing something?
  15. Ahh, but you recognised that it was a pokemon. Nerd! (I <3 Magikarp)
  16. Fallen at the first hurdle. Not "everyone gives" - that's one of the the problems with this country. I vehemently oppose benefit scroungers, and it is pretty galling, but there's nothing I can do about it. I've never taken drugs, so I don't want to pay for drug addicts to get rehabitilitated. I don't smoke, so I don't want to have to fund the cost of paying for smoking related diseases. There are many things I oppose which taxes pay for, but if you could pick and choose and only payed for the bits that you wanted, then the amount raised would be peanuts. That being said, I would be happy to pay for higher priced meat if it meant that Animals were kept in better conditions. But if vegetarians can pick and choose what they want to pay for, then there are many things I'd like to opt out on myself.
  17. They'll probably just kill him, to be honest.
  18. 5 year deadline? o.O Saying that, I did have to take my driving theory test twice.
  19. Bought my Download ticket already
  20. Adventure time!!
  21. It's a good job Adrian Chiles isn't on it anymore then. A combination of him and Sarah Millican would probably lead me to kill myself.
  22. Had venison burgers for the first time the other day. They were pretty good!
  23. Reading 'Chemistry for Dummies' at the moment. Sadly, not for a course, I just felt like learning Chemistry.
  24. Well played sir.
  25. You mean like how we killed/enslaved black people because we had guns and they didn't I'm not saying we shouldn't eat animals, but I don't buy the "can't defend itself so has no rights" argument.
