  1. I’d much rather listen to music alone at home/in my car than go to a gig.
  2. Aaaaaand the award for strangest post of the day goes to……..
  3. The name Dennis Wise is actually pronounced “ˈlɪtᵊl twæt“.
  4. But the stats say different. But that’s fine. Football is about different viewpoints. I’ve given up on life.
  5. 1.82m?!?!? In the fvcking bin.
  6. Christ I can’t believe I’m doing this 😂 I need to get a life. I knew I was sad but even for me this is low. I actually looked up the stats. Kill me. Spurs shaded the aerial duels won by 53% to 47% so it doesn’t feel like a “mismatch” but a fairly even competition. Also, in terms defensive corners we actually won more headers than we lost. The best header of the ball on the field was Romero who won an impressive 3. He’s under 6’1” and smaller than Udogie and Van Der Ven. Van Der Ven won one defensive header all game and Udogie won zero. You know who won the second most aerial duels all night? The towering, gigantic, behemoth that is 5’10” Jamie Vardy. Height is not as important as many people make out.
  7. Anyone know how tall he is?
  8. Jesus this is getting out of hand haha. I’m not really fussed about height. I merely stated it’s not as important as people make out. Moreover, we faced a lot of corners but didn’t concede so we can’t be that terrible.
  9. Sorry to continue the height bollocks haha. But, I’m obtuse…….. Studies have been carried out on the matter. Zero correlation has been found between height and performance in football. In the biggest study they’ve done, three of the shortest teams they found were Man City, Barcelona and Real Madrid. Anyway I’ll stop now. I’m annoying myself.
  10. As long as we put our tallest 11 players out I’ll be happy.
  11. Yes but your point wasn’t salient to the one I was originally making. In fact I wasn’t even asserting anything. I just pointed out to other posters that height wasn’t the be all and end all. I have no interest either way really, in how tall someone is. I noted that Man City had the smallest team in the league for a number of seasons merely to illustrate that a small team can be successful. I wasn’t attaching any causal relationship but using as an interesting example. I too believe a good taller team will beat an equally good smaller team. But height as a measure of “goodness” is backwards thinking.
  12. I merely stated height is overstated in importance which it is.
  13. The tallest teams were usually the ones at the bottom of the league. Historically.
  14. Man City are were consistently the shortest team in the league when they first began winning everything under Pep. The second shortest were Klopp’s Liverpool. I’m not saying height is completely irrelevant but it’s vastly overstated by many fans.
  15. 😂 If you’re good enough you’re short enough.
  16. Hang on, no one is seriously judging a player on their height right? 😂
  17. Glad he’s signed. As others have said, he’s got something about him. Nearly scored a great header with his first touch yesterday.
  18. Usually I’d agree but with the points deduction I really think we have to target this as a winnable game.
  19. This is by no means said in an arrogant or presumptuous way but purely from necessity. If we want to stay up these are the kinds of games we need to win. Also, starting to wish I’d out Vardy in my fantasy team. Absolute GOAT. I said on here before the start of the season he’d score goals then doubted myself.
  20. I fvcking love fvcking football.
  21. I’m trying to be positive haha
  22. Buonanotte looks quality.
  23. We look up for it at least.
