one bad game doesn’t suddenly mean he’s a bad player. Has anyone here actually played football before? you have bad days and good days and only the very special few are consistently good. Cant be judged on a poor game in such a high pressure situation. Just a bad day at the office for him.

I had to work during the game and have absolutely no idea if our players were any good based on this thread! If any is sober, a non-biased write up would be appreciated

Damn things must be bad at chelsea if Maresca is reapplying already

Positives on the impending Cooper appointment
Lambert09 replied to CrazyKopCorner's topic in Leicester City Forum
i don’t think it’s even a debate that corberans huddersfield were stronger than forest in the final. Some incredibly dubious var calls got them over the line. I don’t think they ever had a shot this year. The strength of the relegated 3 was really not a fair thing to assess him against -
that’s certainly what i’m hoping for. i think we would all get behind him if we end up battling for survival and falling short, if that team had alves, braybrooke and nelson in it. We would be going down with a strong core to build and grow from.

Burnley getting RVN makes this harder to swallow. I think we’d all have preferred a punt on someone with a higher ceiling. I don’t see the point in hiring someone for the scrap this year. We are too far up against it. I’d rather have seen this season as a building block for the future. Coopers stock is already low with us. If we go down he won’t have many foxes fans backing him to bring us back up, the momentum will be the wrong way. I think the best thing copper can do is focus on our young players and build the team around them.

To be fair if this works out, then you simply have to give the club credit. because to go with such an unpopular choice is a bold move. They either know what they are doing and have been impressed in the interviews or they’ve simply lost interest and have gone for the easiest, cheapest deal to do ,with someone they’ve heard of. My guess is the latter but hope to hold my hands up at the end of the season. the wolves move from lopetegu to o’neil would have felt similar to this and that worked out very well.

perfectly sums up how it feels to be a leicester fan

definitely the brazilian cb. That’s been in the pipeline for a long time and he started following all the lcfc accounts. The other is surely just fatawu
-
he’s used to having signings forced on him 😂 The 2 would likely be fatawu and gabriel pereira.

that’s good to hear at least but i’m just going off what i had seen of him. The forest side we played in the fa cup were scary and if we play like that there would be no complaints. It’s just that if he was that guy, than i would have expected forest to transition to that in his second year. Their football got worse and he didn’t keep them up , then progress them to a new style, he stuck with scrapping for points. Which version is he planning to keep us up? We are in a position where every point is critical so do we really expect him to abandon what got him out of jail at forest? But we won’t know until we get to pre-season and see what he’s looking to do.
-
Well I hope is that is his aim and he explained clearly why that wasn’t possible with the forest team he had in the prem. Every time i watched forest they parked everyone behind the ball and relied on a breaks with johnson and awonyi. Morgan Gibbs-white didn’t really shine in his system at all and it was only when nuno came in that we saw him become a real creative outlet. I’m not writing him off at all but don’t see the logical connection between him and what we were going for. All i see is a free appointment of someone who stayed up once

for me it’s not even about the pedigree of cooper but it’s the complete switch in direction from the club. I understand doing this when things are going badly but after winning promotion to suddenly switch playing styles is just odd. I just expected someone who had a very similar philosophy to enzo to be coming. I’ll get behind whoever is in charge, until they lose that respect but the decision making feels like a circus again
-
what’s most baffling about this if it’s actually true, is why it’s taken so long. Except it’s not that baffling because we’ve been friend zoned by all the other candidates

🎶Enzo went to chelsea to get a panini, instead we hired a manager, his name is potter the houdini, he might be on the left, he might be on the right. But when rudkin gets him, the wife’s getting one tonight 🎶 Am i doing this right?

the deal would have been structured so that we sign him in the new accounting period, which is july. So it’s likely to be announced in july 1st. There will be no signings until then at the earliest

because he was disliked? or because the club has bigger plans? Personally think smashing it in league 1 for a big club like birmingham would be a decent loan for any of them. As it’s the minutes that matter -

This might be an unpopular opinion, but Trent not being able to tackle is even worse in cm than it is at fb. At least he could show people outside before. Looks so easy to play against -

I do think we’d be far more fluid with watkins upfront. Kane seems to slow everything down
