It’s not exciting but he sounds like a steady eddy. Would we be happy signing him for the championship? I think we would. So the longer deal doesn’t bother me so much as long as we’ve built in a reasonable drop clauses. He’ll likely be a fan favourite if he stays fit. Nothing spectacular but does a much needed job

it’s mad that we could have been docked 10 points and still won the league in 2016.

if we could argue that we stopped trying to comply because we knew we were going down …. technically by law that would be a fair reason given the wording. But surely you’d need to prove that this was the reason and it would go against what we will have to try to prove to the league in our defence of the breach.

is there any rumours about other clubs breaching in the latest accounts? Seemed like everyone was confident they did what was needed. Ludicrous that chelsea avoid one but they appear to have managed it.

if the club expect it to be hefty, kicking it down the road means that we have a better chance of convincing players to join us. A big fat -12 may well be enough to put off most players.

well it is a leap to assume that someone is just stating that without any reason. I don’t know anything about the guy so if people are saying he’s fast, I take that to be true. have you seen him play? Is he slow then? I can’t understand why we’d sign a slow right footed cb… we’ve got plenty of those.

not what i could see in my research. The 2-0 vs us and when they turned a corner they were a back 4. Huddersfield in the playoff final they played a 3 but 2 strikers and a #10 The width had previously come from the wing backs. If a traditional 343 is the plan it’s not something i can find an example of copper playing but i’m hoping someone has evidence of one. If you have wingbacks and wingers…. that’s likely just a very defensive set up and not designed for a pretty game imo

let’s face it, he’s a bit of a var nightmare. very hands on when defending in the penalty area, hard tackles. Very much an old school player in that regard. All it takes is a south american doing 20 rolls on the floor after one of his strong tackles and the reds out

I get the point but the thing that we could improve on as a club is selling fringe players when their stock is high. I think a year of bit part game time with us and a year down the contract (maybe last year) just doesn’t make sense given our situation. especially as a home grown player for psr. If you could someone like leeds or burnley to come get him for 5m id take it.
