Why didn't Iversen start tonight?

Well cooper played the team most people wanted but we still lost. I thought first half we were good, scoring a nicely worked goal. Problem was though individuals kept making poor errors of judgement which gave forest 3 goals. Forest are a decent team with a solid defence and a good target man in Wood. The tweak they made to close down Winks should have been addressed. Skipp on for Ndidi to put 2 playmakers in the middle. Winks being marked closely did not lose us the game. It was already lost at 0-3. It did however prevent us getting back into it. Our players seem to be afraid to kick the ball to row Z when needed but coached to try and play the ball out. This also seems to be the trend for nearly all premier league teams. Every game contains a goal caused by over playing the ball out from the back. I think too many changes were made on Friday in response to the clammer made after the dramatic win at soton. Somewhere in between I think and removing the errors and I believe we would have got something from the game.

Need to start the game more aggressively. Second half is how we should start the first. Impressed with the determination to compete. Promising signs from a number of new players. Team selection confusing. Substitutions are either wrong or late. Not out classed in any game though fortunate not to be further behind at half time. 15th A bit of tweaking could improve us massively.

I actually think we have a well balanced squad. Not always the best players in the fb area but two attacking midfielders to introduce and a new cf as backup. I hope for a positive team selection for the forthcoming game.

So negative. No creativity. Waiting till 60 mins to see how the game is going instead of trying to win from the off. These are not a top table team. Why wait to go behind then put your better team on the pitch. Lessons not learned. Each game so far we've behind before playing better in a losing situation.

Can we offset the any fine against FFP ?

I think the problem with Wilf is that he cannot play with his back to goal. His control is poor and he cannot produce progressive passes. I though he pressed well v villa and when he moved back in the second half I thought he improved. He is not good enough to play further forward though. I think Skipp is his replacement and one of El Khannouss or Buonanotte will support the no. 9. Edouard will play increasing amounts of games replacing Vardy more often that not. Oh and Mavididi has to start.

Skipp did foul the guy and it was a booking. My main gripe with the ref was time wasting. He did not crack down on it and the first half should have been 7 minutes too. The ref himself wasted about 5 minutes with his slow decision making. Pundits call time wasting gamesmanship but it's not, it's cheating. If Rice was sent off, then villa should have had at least five bookings or one if the ref had clamped down from the start. It just spoils the game.

Fatawu and Mavididi have not started together yet. When they do they will both create space for each other. That and with the other new faces, I think we'll start to progress up the table.

I think this is a really good transfer window for us. A blend of young and experienced players and I'm excited about it.
