  1. I think some people forget the state the club was in this time last year. Having potentially the best squad in the League no way guarantees success (Just look at Chelsea), because we had a bunch of players who had no confidence and who were mentally shot from the Rodgers era. We made some good signings in the Summer and thankfully got off to a brilliant start. For me Enzo has done wonders to turn things around on the field, playing a completely different style and bringing back a group mentality. Yes he has made mistakes, but for me this season has exceeded expectations.
  2. Surprised, but pleased Praet is available.
  3. Wonder if they'll all be at Vardy's Friday night, like when Chelsea drew with Spurs?
  4. I'm not sure at the end of last season I had any high hopes other than to steady the ship. I thought play offs would be a bonus, but after the turmoil we were in, I am over the moon that we are nearly back in the Prem.
  5. Top has told him he's going to bin him off.
  6. Should be a win, but no team likes to lose their last home game. So whilst they have nothing to play for, perhaps giving their home supporters a good performance on their last home game may make it more of a challenging game. Still think 3 - 0 to Leicester if we turn up with the same attitude and performance as tonight.
  7. Decent recovery time as well, which means everyone should be raring to go. 3 - 0 Leicester (hopefully)
  8. Having a defender who is good and vocal at organising the back line is an asset and to that extent I'd play Coady. He may not be the best defender, but he's a leader on the field and that's exactly what we require now to get us over the line.

    Daka

Totally moronic booing a player who is trying to do his best. He's had a difficult couple of months, but I don't think you can question his desire to do his best.
  10. When playing first, it's always great to get the points on the board. Hopefully Leeds will drop points at Boro. Those who are moaning about the performance and that we were lucky need to look at the bigger picture. We just secured 3 points, I don't care if we were lucky, fortunate or WBA were the better side. How many times this season has it been the other way around? At this point of the season, I'm not bothered how we win, so long as we do..
  11. Going on the optimistic bus WBA - win (they have serious injury and suspension problems and on a poor run - I know, the ever obliging Foxes and all that) Southampton - win - their 6th game in 18 days - fatigue setting in hopefully Preston - draw - they've nothing much left to play for but won't want to finish their home games with a defeat Blackburn - win - They'll be on the beach It won't matter what others do then, as we'll be Champions.
  12. Has the system failed or the inability of players to put the ball in the net after creating enough chances to win games. Having said that, there is a stubbornness about Maresca that he believes the system is right and he won't deviate from the plan.
  13. Hence, why Maresca wanted Sensi in in January. Great set piece technician and could fill the 8 or 6 role comfortably.
  14. I think what I'm trying to suggest, perhaps not very eloquently, can Enzo be blamed for poor on pitch decision making, whether it be missing chances, lapses of concentration defence, slow tempo, poor pressing etc. What I would like to see is some of the out of form players being rotated more often. Unfortunately, Enzo has a system that he stubbornly believes in and I can't see him trying an alternative way of playing with different players in the 4 remaining matches. Let's hope more of our guilt edge chances are taken over the remaining games.
  15. Whilst I think Enzo has a lot to learn regarding changing formations, tactics when things aren't going our way, many of the games we have lost have been through those on the pitch not putting the ball in the net from good scoring opportunities. I'm not sure how he can change poor finishing from the bench, other than changing personnel quicker in games. He's tried all our forwards and none have excelled, even Vardy. It may be that the system doesn't suit them, but they are all guilty of missing relatively simple chances on numerous occasions.
  16. Points on the board are always preferable, particular how all 3 teams at the top seem incapable of winning convincingly or just simply winning. My only shred of hope is that when we play Southampton I think it's their 6th game in 18 days and hopefully fatigue may be setting in.
  17. But Leeds and Ipswich could say the same - if they hadn't cocked up very winnable home games against opposition with nothing to play for they'd both be above us. There's lots of 'what ifs' in a season - I try not to get too beat up about it because as it stands we are in pole position and others are trying to catch us.
  18. I think he's unhappy that it was moved from a Saturday fixture to accommodate tv. It wouldn't be that bad if it were away to a Midlands team, but it does seem a tad unfair that we have to travel to a midweek game in London and then to probably the longest journey away and play again some 72 hours later. I appreciate teams have similar schedules, but both our main rivals have two home games where they can recover without the added travelling.
  19. Not sure we are anymore lucky that teams have failed to win as we are unlucky when Ipswich and Leeds score late goals. It's a long season for all teams and at this stage it's more about finding ways to win, or at worst not losing. Whilst losing at Millwall was a really poor result, Leeds and Ipswich dropping points at home to teams with nothing to play for was more of a surprise.
  20. Has Enzo tweaked things or have the players taken it upon themselves to be less passive?
  21. Going for Win 5, draw 2 (or draw 1, lose 1)
  22. I may be wrong, but from where I was sitting it looked like Ndidi who swung the cross in for the first goal. But I totally agree, we are a different team with Ricardo starting.
  23. Need Coady in, not because he is any better than Faes particularly, but he's a leader and we need as many of those out on the pitch motivating others at the moment. It shouldn't be defenders that are changing games as we should have enough quality to make their roles easier, but those in front of them and I feel Coady could be more inspirational in encouraging and organising others.
  24. I'm not sure anyone will be singing from the roof that we were in L1, but it was a good feeling winning it after years of decline. Being in L1 and winning it for me was the turning point of greater things to come, that no one envisaged. It was like a reset button and unlike are other East Midland rivals who spent years in L1, we used it to grow into something better.
  25. I see both sides of the argument. I just don't see that we are in free fall. The last 10 years have spoilt us with the success on and off the field, we are have a slight wobble on the pitch, the financial situation may or may not be correct, so until I hear otherwise from the club, rather than newspaper click bait, I'll stay optimistic. So at the end of the day, I'm not going to whine and moan as there are far more things in the world to be concerned about.
