would love to keep Souttar, particularly if Nelson has a long term injury, but only if he is fully committed to being here, which is where I think the difficulty is. If he's asked to move, then just get the best price possible and reinvest in the type of defender that will suite RM's style of play.

My son in law lives in Brighton and works at the swimming pool on the front (he's also a Florist fan which is unbearable, but he doesn't give me too much stick). RM visits occasionally and I've been told the opposite by my son in law. Really likeable bloke, talks to everyone and quite honest about what he has learnt from his managerial experiences. He moved to centre back when Nelson went off, but mistimed his header and got caught wrong side. Not sure why RM didn't replace Nelson with Kevon Gray as it would have been a like for like swap without disrupting the back line too much.

Was at the game and saw plenty of positives. Think some 'fans' just want to be on a permanent downer. Yes, there's lots of room for improvement, but I can see a style of play (which has been missing for 2 years) and players working their bollocks off. Could have easily been 2 or 3 nil up at half time and conceded a silly goal. But all in all a decent work out against a team that will be superior to anything we face in L1.

Not sure Hamza even makes the team (hopefully) - it's a massive no from me for Hamza. Poor role model and is he someone fellow professionals respect? At best an average L1 player. All I can say in his favour is that he didn't hide last year and had the balls to engage with supporters when they were on the team's back.

To be fair, that's what we've done in the past - sent out our talented youngster to get experience. Chilwell, Barnes, KDH, Nelson, Alves, Braybrooke have all benefitted from loan spells at clubs at a lower level.

No, I don't know anything more, that's why I'm not making judgement until I've seen him play. Yes, he could be another Daka, Edouard or Caranza or conversely another Steve Claridge or David Speedie. All I'm saying is let's wait and see.

But if you or others haven't seen him play, but go on varied opinions from Swansea fans, how can you make such a sweeping statement. I'll judge a player after 10 to 12 games and see if he's making an impact before writing him off before he's kicked a ball.
