I'm not suggesting there wasn't a massive underperformance last season. I think without a points deduction the bookies would have probably had us finishing top half/play offs. But we absolutely were not perceived to be one of the strongest teams in the division. Certainly not amongst Leicester fans.

Ultimately you want both and we were unfortunate we had a squad of players that were mentally weak with a piss poor DoF and an uninterested Chairman. I think it's most important that the playing squad is as good as it can be and the move to Seagrave should have assured that. As I said, if we'd just stayed up in 2023 I'm sure we would have the stadium redevelopment well underway by now.

Based on the fact we've got one of the strongest sides in the division and a manager that has no real business managing a club this low down the pyramid. Nothing is great, or even good at the moment. But suggesting things couldn't get worse with new owners is clearly bollocks. No side has ever had their season defined by one league game. Especially when half the attack we've got is injured.

I think we're a bigger club with Seagrave than we would have been with an extra 8k seats IMO. Anyone from inside that club that blames Seagrave for their own inadequacies should be sacked.

No, it's not! We've got a very good chance of going up this season. It's what King Power are banking on in order to get as much money as they can from the sale of the club. Potential buyers are sat around waiting for King Power to blink. More results like last weekend and I think you might see that asking price come down very quickly.

I was listening to a podcast last week, I think it was Stick To Football and they had Paul Scholes talking about how the only thing players want to know about is the training facilities. Back in the 1900s I think it was more important to have the biggest and best stadium but in modern football players are much more worried about the facilities we have. Blaming Seagrave is wrong. I do think that there was a culture change that took some getting used to but there is absolutely no way that Seagrave is anything other than a positive. You only have to look at the players coming out of the academy to see that. The bigger issue is what is (or isn't) happening in Seagrave's offices rather than the training pitches. We've been run awfully by an absent owner and an incompetent DoF. Once those two are replaced we'll see the full effects of having one of the best training facilities in the world.

I'll preface this by saying I absolutely want King Power to go and I don't think there are many people that could operate things worse than them. However, we have definitely not hit rock bottom (in fact, we're a long way from it) and an asset stripper could come in and ensure we don't get out of this league again unless it's through relegation. Any reasonable owner could come in and build on the good things that Aiyawatt/King Power brought to the club (training ground, increased global outreach and the academy) and turn us into a solid Premier League team again with relative ease. But things absolutely could be a lot worse than the current operation and it's not unreasonable to say that.

About 90% of the players he's signed there have been 21 or younger. Yes for massive money, but the plan was always to build the club up with young players and that was always going to take time. Chelsea fans want him to buy players ready for the present day.

With the current asking price being so high I suspect potential buyers will just bide their time and wait for Aiyawatt to give in. He and King Power afford to can't run the club outside of the Premier League. He might be gambling on this season being a roaring success followed by another one next year to get us into the Premier League but I suspect all potential buyers would sooner wait for the price to drop. The big draw with LCFC is that we're a project for someone to come and buy us cheaply and rebuild us. No point in paying Premier League/top end Championship money for a club with debt coming out of it's arse in League 1. If we don't go up this season then there's a good chance that it all gets taken out of Aiyawatt's hands anyway.

Chelsea fans hate him because he isn't craving instant success. He's built a team of kids that should be ready to compete in 3/4 years whereas their fans want someone ready for now.

I don't think it's understating it to say that that team would wipe the floor with the current lot but I do still expect us to be towards to top of the league. I think goals will be very spread out. I can't see one player getting 20-25 goals. Would be nice though.

Not having that We've signed Burns, Watson and Howell whose games are built on them getting the ball down and going past their man. We've added Alves to the squad too who loves to get the ball down and drive.

I wouldn't confident if we didn't have that 30-40 minute spell after we weathered the inital storm of the game. WE went through that spell without them really having a kick in our half and if we had a striker i'm sure we'd have scored 2/3 goals. Alves tore them to bits. Obviously the second half is very worrying but I do think there's plenty for the team to go off. It's one of those where we either learn from our mistakes and we'll be fine or we don't and Martin is out of a job in a month's time because this squad is more than capable.

I agree, but some players are better off playing games and I think Barnes and Evans are alike in that regard. I think Evans is better off starting every week for Cheltenham than coming off the bench every now and then for us. I would personally rather Evans play every week with us having Burns and Howell for the right hand side. Wouldn't surprise me if Evans comes back in January though if he's scoring goals regularly though. Especially if Burns and Howell can't settle.

I will be concerned if we're having the same discussions about xG in a few weeks time. Ultimately the problems we had on Saturday were either entirely self-inflicted (and there is definitely reason to believe that Russell Martin won't learn from this) or because we were playing players that simply do not have a long term future in this team. That defensive spine of.... McCarthy Okoli Souttar Skipp ....will not (or can not) continue to play as slowly as they did. There is no way that Martin will have been happy with the performances those 4 put out and they are 4 of our most senior players. However, we were only regularly cut open because of individual errors. It's not like Notts County created chance after chance, they were given to them through poor individual play. Cullen is a player I am desperately worried of. I really don't think he has a future starting games for us when we're at full strength. He just does not influence the game and you need a player who is constantly looking to get on the ball in the final 3rd for a controlling style of play to be effective. Alves kept Notts County pinned in and when we were giving him the ball we were a genuine threat and we created numerous half chances. The trouble was if we couldn't get it to Alves then we were relying on Cullen (who simply was not showing for the ball) or Burns (who didn't look to have the burst of pace we were told he had) and both of them kept losing it in good areas. I am convinced that once we start playing with a fully fit Bristric, Burns and Chaplin then we will cause teams some serious harm in this league. If we can get Chaplin and Braybrooke on the ball in the final 3rd with Alves and Burns out wide then we will score a lot of goals.

Only two sides can go up automatically in any given season so it's clear that there will be occasions where teams that play with the ball will miss out. Ultimately the side with the most possession hasn't finished below 5th in any of those seasons. There's clear correlation there that playing with the ball has been a successful way of playing football in League 1 and the Championship. Lincoln were the only team to win their league in those 6 seasons without finishing in the top 4 for average possession.

Absolutely and i'm sure this will improve vastly with Bristric. I think people need to realise he's not playing BDCR up front because he wants to. I'm quite confident that last Saturday will be Reid's last game as striker for us now that we have Bristric and Chaplin.
