I think it'll be the total opposite I don't think they start well at all. No pre-season is a killer for a club wanting to completely shift their way of playing. They definitely need to make serious changes into their defence and midfield. Plus Sels is the wrong goalkeeper for a manager that wants to play an expansive game. If he's given time I think he'd get a club like Forest (much less pressure externally or from fans) playing some decent stuff. But this season will almost definitely be absolutely horrible for them (or comparatively horrible).

This would be the one major worry Forest fans would have. Milenkovic and Murillo defending on the half way line is a recipe for disaster.

Wout Faes (Besiktas interest, Fabrizio Romano)

I think if Souttar was looking close to being fit again then Faes would have been off. I could see him moving in January for that reason. Daka won't leave unless someone offers daft money. It's only him and Carranza that are genuine strikers in the squad. -
It helps them that their team is pretty much all tied up for a few years so they don't have to worry about offering daft contracts to keep players but a few might want to move on in the next year or two. Especially if they're not being paid like Gibbs-White is. It'll be interesting to see how they choose to keep players happy. Clear downgrades like Elanga to Ndoye/Hutchinson will continue to happen over the next few years.

I just don't see how they've improved. Spent well over 200m as well. Feels like they've had the same sort of summer that we did in 2021 where we spent loads but bought horrendously (Soumare, Vestergaard, Daka, Bertrand)
-
I don't really see how Forest could be in a position to turn their nose up at Ange.
-
Little use worrying about it all to be honest. PSR meant we had to sell our best player the last time we went up. Just enjoy what we have when we have them. PSR keeps clubs like us in line.
-
The rumour is that it's all a big argument with agents. Nuno is Jorge Mendes whereas Edu (Forest's new DoF) is Kia Joorabchian. Nuno didn't want Omari Hutchinson (a Joorabchian client) and it's all kicked off as a result.

Glasner could walk into most jobs. Forest are clearly in a mess and aren't anywhere near big enough to keep it an attractive option like Manchester United. He would be taking a step backwards by moving from Palace to Forest.
-
Even though it's Forest I still have a hard time looking at an English football club being owned by someone like Marinakis. Fit and proper my arse. Will be good to watch them sink though.

For every position bar goalkeeper I completely agree.

No Ben Nelson in the squad for the England U21s despite being called up. Has he picked up a knock?

The Chelsea lad top right gives him a run for his money. -

IIRC that was never going in. -

AKCJ replied to jimsmallman's topic in Leicester City Forum
I agree that he deserves recognition but it wasn't that good of a performance as a whole. It wasn't like Chelsea were peppering us and Kasper pulled out save after save. It was really only the big, big moment with the Mount save. -

I assume that that is Archie Gray's little brother? Looks just like him. -
You could say absolutely the same things about Stolarcyzk.

Two number 1s almost never works. IMO there needs to be a clear hierarchy with goalkeepers. Obviously we needed a keeper because Bausor needs to play every week.

The more I think about it the weirder this one is. Seems a bit too good to be sat on the bench as a 26 year old in the Championship. I've seen a lot of Betis fans think that Vietes is/was better than Adrian and should have been kept. I think Stolarczyk has done absolutely fine so far and doesn't warrant replacing but I do wonder if Marti just wants someone better with the ball at his feet? It all gives me bad vibes. IMO we should be backing Stolarczyk as the undisputed number 1.

I think as soon as he finds that confidence to express himself he'll absolutely explode. Reminds me a lot of Lamine Yamal when he first started to make a name for himself where you could see that he was absurdly talented but just looked a bit shy. My prediction is that he'll have one game soon where he just completely dominates. Starts demanding the ball from team mates, regularly skins his fullback, scores a great goal etc and from that day he'll just go to a completely new level. I just don't see how he isn't at one of the world's biggest clubs this time next year. Just have to hope we can get paid.

How Do We Make the King Power a Fortress Again?
AKCJ replied to Ryanlcfc3's topic in Leicester City Forum
Strengthening the King Power fortress starts with us—the fans—through better organization, intentional seating, inclusive yet vibrant support, and close coordination with the club. It’s a team effort off the field that can rally on it. If you’d like to refine that based on Ryan’s specific points once you can quote or share them, feel free to circle back—I’d be happy to help polish it further! -

If we have a team that plays with heart, desire and quality the fans will buy into it. It's always been this way in England. It's the same for every single team. -
