I quite agree.. I honestly thought we’d get two or three players. We are now going to get spanked every week and the club don’t seem to be bothered. Whatever the financial reasons, we are going to be embarrassed on the pitch. Even Ipswich have spent £72m on young players, but they’ve given themselves a chance. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so negative going into the season. It should be totally opposite, but the club either can’t be bothered or don’t know what they’re doing. Unless they can make 3 signings this week we’re going to be beaten every week, some of them could be embarrassing.

I think that Doughty is very good and would be a good signing if he wants to come here.
