For a multi billion pound sport, it’s run like a corner shop. Finances - Corrupt and all over the place, money has distorted the sport. The rules are messy, inconsistent and breaches are applied as-hoc with no rhyme or reason. Academies - Clubs like Man City, Chelsea, PSG etc stockpiling talent. Stealing revenue from smaller clubs. Broadcasters - Games are being moved left, right and centre to suit “customers” not fans. It’s a massive inconvenience to fans. Kickoff changes are all over the place. VAR / Officiating - This is all over the shop. It’s a mess and the fact we are still debating challenges as the rules are ambiguous. Fan Disconnect - This is massive. Your typical fan can not relate to your average footballer in the slightest. No club is entitled to be in the Premier League. However everyone deserves a chance. Under the current rules, no one gets a chance to achieve what we did.
