We’ll have to disagree on this one @MonarchFox! Having coached as well, I agree accuracy helps, however the male body makeup will always generate more power. It’s why they do quicker running times etc. We are purely talking about professional vs professional here. Say Lucy Bronze Vs Mbappe, it’s a no contest etc A coached female will undoubtedly generate more power than a male. Bizarrely I will say though, the best striker I ever coached at youth level, was female and went on to play international football. However as others have said, I think Chloe Kelly aside, they aren’t generating that much power and it’s sort of easy to telegraph where they are shooting. Most of the penalties that are taken by top male penalty takers aren’t smashed. Vardy used to smash them, they’d go in with power, however he wasn’t exactly prolific with them, as they were a little wild.

My assumption, If you watch men’s football, the amount that aren’t exactly placed in the corner is fairly high. The power they’re hit at, generally makes them go in. Women, naturally can’t strike the ball as hard.
