Yes, I work in construction and I’d say costs have jumped 10%. It’ll go further yet I’d imagine, as cost are received and keep rising. Oil, Gas, Bitumen etc all goes into heating and manufacturing core products like asphalt, Readymix, cement, concrete blocks etc, so it’s just going to sky rocket and shut the sector down as it becomes cost prohibitive.

I didn’t realise NCP had gone into administration. How many people don’t bother going shopping now, due to parking costing more than the items you’re buying

We’d have got more games and impact out of Deli Ali than having this bloke here. A totally pointless addition to the squad.

I don’t think he’d react if the fan burnt the stadium down to be honest.

I never thought I’d ever been out of the minority that called for his inclusion in the team -
This entire approach to Team X getting a fine because they did this, then Team Z getting a points deduction, for frankly just trying to break the glass ceiling to get similar treatment to Team X is crazy. The Premier League broke away from the Football League in 1992, due to the top clubs wanting a bigger share of the pie. The Premier League has slowly lost control of spending and they’re now trying to reign if in. That horse has bolted. If the Football League / Premier League doesn’t get its act together, then the many will stop fearing the few. The few should rebel. If the rest rebelled and formed a new league without the teams that get entitlement, then those 6 tank. 90% of the English football pyramid doesn’t care about European football. Go form your Super League if I’m honest. Why is non league becoming more popular. It’s football at its heart and still played in an enjoyable fashion. The EFL contracts expire in 27/28 I believe. Any new league should be working now to setup a streaming service or doing a deal with Netflix or Amazon. Followed by establishing a new league setup that sees teams reward equally with clearly defined rules and teams are treated equally. I wouldn’t be adverse to combining the Scottish, Welsh, English, Northern Irish leagues etc either, as these are failing as well realistically. We are stronger together. Other sports get this right.

He needs to play with Vestergaard for me. If we can’t get him fit then it’s just a total waste of money. Money we don’t have. -
James is a very good player. He sort of reminds me of Lampard in that you know he’s good for a goal and finishes really well, however his overall contribution in games goes somewhat unnoticed.

Manchester City needs a proper rebuild is the issue. They spent a fortune at first and whilst they still make massive signings, they aren’t exactly top of the net spend tree anymore (7th in the last 5 years). They aren’t the same since the likes of De Bruyne, Walker, Rodri, Gundogun, Mahrez, Ederson moved on. Ruben Dias isn’t the same player he was either as he was a monster. He should player every game but doesn’t!

Basically Senegal had two decisions go against them late on in a game marred with controversy. However it was the inconsistency refereeing, excessive time added on and player clashes that ramped up the attitude of the game. We can all debate the two major decisions and I still stand by I thought the disallowed goal was harsh but the penalty is one of those that may, or may not be given (albeit I do think he’s dived). They walked off though and that should have ultimately got them disqualified on the night of the game under the laws. The officials lost control, however you’d debate they didn’t have it under control all tournament.

PSG are basically just Manchester City / Chelsea in a one team famers league.

Now if Leverkusen could just score against the divers of Arsenal….

Hopefully he plays Lascelles and Vestergaard together! -
I do think we’ll be in exactly the same position next season, should we somehow manage to survive.

Szmodics would have been a decent addition for us. However we’d rather sign a player we’ll never use and persist with Ayew.

I understand why we would do it to aid cash flow though. Ultimately if we know what income we will receive from an asset (I’m in this case parachute payment), taking it all at once isn’t an issue. We just need to be in a position to cover the costs in subsequent years like the parachute payments are meant to cover. The challenge is, we don’t know what they’ve done with that cash. We made profit on player transfers this year. Have taken out loads to get the money in. Our wage bill decreased. Attendances are still amongst the highest in the division. We could have stopped paying for King Power Property group etc for all we know and therefore are in much stronger position financially. It’s all creative accounting and a bit of jiggerey pokerey.

Are we still doing it? I haven’t been for half the season as the standard of football is a genuine disgrace. It was annoying after a few seasons to me. Then again, I’m not one for looking backward.

Stolarkzyk, Iversen, Johansson are all much of a muchness. They’re all steady, Chanpionship goalkeepers. Players make mistakes on the pitch all the time. As a goalkeeper you get exposed more. Elite level goalkeepers can pass a ball, command an defence and make less of those rash mistakes. That’s the difference. I’d say all 24 Chanpionship goalkeepers are interchangeable and none are that much better than any other this season.

I’m Sure the social media team are currently working on a nice montage for the screens and Twitter, to celebrate our 10th anniversary of winning the Premier League. This will be rolled out on all social media platforms the day we are relegated to League 1. Foxestalk will then condemn the club for being tone deaf, stupid and out of touch. ** Seriously if this happens then can we just forget the Premier League win ever happened, we are becoming like Forest**

Exactly. We will cover our overheads in the first year with the impending fire sale that follows. All of our high earners will be gone by the end of next season. The club can reduce overheads further. It has just chosen not to. We will survive by player trading. The issue is when we run out of asset and end up just rolling along at a snails pace in League One I would Imagine.

I still think we’d pull in 20k+ next season. We did during 08/09 in League 1. We have grown as a brand and people will still turn up out of habit and fly in from Asia to see Premier League Leicester City! You’re not convincing 5 year olds though that Leicester is the club to support though, now that football is everywhere.
