  1. WTF is that lineup?!? 4-0 to Ipswich incoming
  2. I’ve said this since PSR was introduced. Legitimate everyday businesses compete by owner investment and they also cover losses when things don’t go as planned. For whatever reason, the rules prevent this happening and it’s not as simple as cutting your losses, as the financial weight around our necks due to how football contracts work, means we carry the burden for years. A single persons stupidity (I’m looking at the board), can bury a club.
  3. What’s the latest on Trump being in the Epstein files then? Or have we sweat that under the carpet (again).
  4. They’re just aiming to level Iran to the point they’ll not have any military capability. The next thing that will happen is that they’ll walk off and leave it in its current mess. We’ll then get a random bunch of outlaws or some religious extremist trying to claim it, who will commit untold atrocities and it’ll be rinse and repeat.
  5. The playoffs were introduced in the 86/87 season. Just looking at the 2nd Tier promotions, typically the % chance of getting promoted vs where you finished does sort of dictate who will go up. 87 - Charlton - We’re already in Tier 1. Beat Leeds who finished 4th in Final. 88 - Middlesborough 3rd - Relegated following season 89 - Palace 3rd 90 - Swindon 4th - However Sunderland who were 6th got promoted as Swindon were banned for being dodgy, they got Relegated the following season 91 - Notts County 4th - Relegated following season 92 - Blackburn 6th 93 - Swindon 5th - Relegated following season 94 - Leicester 4th - Relegated following season 95 - Bolton 3rd - Relegated following season 96 - Leicester 5th 97 - Palace 6th - Relegated following season 98 - Charlton 4th - Relegated following season 99 - Watford 5th - Relegated following season 00 - Ipswich 3rd 01 - Bolton 3rd 02 - Birmingham 5th 03 - Wolves 5th - Relegated following season 04 - Palace 6th - Relegated following season 05 - West Ham 6th 06 - Watford 3rd - Relegated following season 07 - Derby 3rd - Relegated following season 08 - Hull 3rd 09 - Burnley 5th - Relegated following season 10 - Blackpool 6th - Relegated following season 11 - Swansea 3rd 12 - West Ham 3rd 13 - Palace 5th 14 - QPR 4th - Relegated following season 15 - Norwich 3rd - Relegated following season 16 - Hull 4th - Relegated following season 17 - Huddlesfield 5th 18 - Fulham 3rd - Relegated following season 19 - Villa 5th 20 - Fulham 4th - Relegated following season 21 - Brentford 3rd 22 - Forest 4th 23 - Luton 3rd - Relegated following season 24 - Southampton 4th - Relegated following season 25 - Sunderland 4th ————— Tier 1 - 1 Time - survived next season 3rd - 13 Times - 7 survived next season 4th - 10 Times - 2 survived next season 5th - 8 Times - 5 survived next season 6th - 6 times - 2 survived next season In a nutshell, the lower you are the less chance you have of getting promoted. I’m going to say the data sort of indicates you then have less chance of staying up. Pointless adding two more matches.
  6. I’ve not booked anything yet for this summer yet, however I’ve sorted of discounted flying via Dubai or into Asia at this point.
  7. Doh! Got my Chelsea strikers mixed up! I was thinking of Mutu. Robinho was just a myth of a player in all honesty. A bit like Denilison or whatever his name was that went to Betis. Okaka must have played for half the teams in Serie A + Watford.
  8. I think a lot of us look upon Serie A like it was in the 90s! The great Parma, Juventus, Milan, Inter, Roma etc They aren’t the force they once were. I think we all berate the Championship but the truth is, it might be a better standard than most give it credit for. Another example is Lookman, looked steady for us. Tore Serie A apart. Loads of them though, Aquilani, Robinho, Kezman, Okaka. Then we have the likes of Okoli, Kristiansen etc
  9. Terrible transfer all round. Totally pointless transfer. From what we’ve seen he isn’t good enough so I’d imagine he’ll spend the remainder of his time on loan away from us.
  10. Wow, taken apart! It looks like you’re going through the same tragedy as Leicester @Bonanza
  11. I might apply for the job as Financial Director. I’m completely unsuitable for the role, however that doesn’t seem to matter in all honesty. I’d like to think I stand a good chance of landing the job.
  12. Daka at Salzburg was viewed as a major prospect. Quick, could finish, aggressive etc. I could see why we purchased him. Atlanta were bemused when we spent so much on Okoli. If we were old school, 4-4-2 with a compact defence and smash it long on the counter attack, he’d maybe do a job. That’s not modern football though. Agree that Amartey was signed as a midfielder. He was very average though, hence why we rolled th dice on Ndidi and we got the Kante replacement at the 3rd attempt after Mendy and Amartey flopped.
  13. Amartey didn’t play in the Championship? He‘s also not had a club since Besiktas released him in 2024. He’s still only 31. They’re both as bad as each other.
  14. The training ground gets sold to King Power Holdings and all running cost are covered by tha company. Leicester City Football Club then rent this for a monthly fee. This is how other clubs have played the game. No doubt we will as well.
  15. We laugh, I think we could hold Foxestalk / Bentleys Roof football trials and find a player that is fit enough to press like Daka and be as effective as Ayew in games. They’d cost us around £100k a week less as well. It is crazy how we’ve ended up with this pair. Some of our youngsters must be wondering why the aren’t getting a chance.
  16. It’s not like OHL are thriving either. They are hovering around the relegation zone as well.
  17. The best thing for us is that he gets injured. I know you shouldn’t wish that on anyone, however he offers nothing and is such a detriment to us.
  18. Spot on. People don’t detach the past from the current. We are in essence, run by two very different companies between the Vichai and Aiyawatt reigns of King Power. People associate Aiyawatt with the rise from the Championship, Title Win etc He’s no Vichai that engaged and communicated with the people. I get where Albrighton is coming from and I understand his point of view. Unfortunately without protests we will sail into the abyss.
  19. You’ve now got me wondering if Tamworth has different areas like Coalville, which are would have different stereotypes (so to speak)
  20. Slightly better version of Daka. Ran around a lot, frustrated me.
  21. Ali Hosseini Khamenei assumed dead then. That’s the end of the not so supreme leader in Iran.
  22. Also, who wears a tie these days?!?
  23. His entire attitude, work rate, ability, body language and face just scream he shouldn’t be anywhere near this football club. I disliked the likes of Amartey, Kristiansen, Tiatto, Hume etc, however this bloke has never annoyed me as much as any other player in a Leicester shirt.
