  1. Pierre-Emile Højbjerg anyone?
  2. Napoli are looking at him as well now.
  3. He was listed in the top 10 players ever for goals / assists in the Premier League. I was purely updating it. He isn’t bad, however clearly he’s not as good as Daka / Vardy this season. Something we all knew anyhow. I think the only way he leaves is late in the window and it’s a loan out.
  4. Erm ….. I’m confused
  5. Ours did this over a period of about ) months! It was really scary the first time it happened, as we could hear voices in another part of the house. I thought we’d been broken into. Turns out, it was a software glitch with the link to the voice activation. It stopped happening after 6 months.
  6. In theory, he can sign a pre contract agreement with a non British club like Soyuncu did with Atletico Madrid from January 1st. Arsenal paid £12m for Jorginho last season when he was in the last 6 months of his contract. I believe Burnley spent £12m on Weghurst the January his contract was expiring also.
  7. Okay, since people are discussing the mythical goals and assist ratio per minute of Iheanacho in the other topic, I've run some updated numbers and compared him to Daka and Vardy (since 14/15). Since 14/15 League Games All Games Mins Per Goal Mins per G / A Mins Per Goal Mins per G / A Iheanacho 211.23 125.31 175.44 112.13 Vardy 173.85 128.58 177.67 132.42 Daka 207.69 122.73 199.32 130.59 And this season League Games All Games Mins Per Goal Mins per G / A Mins Per Goal Mins per G / A Iheanacho 171.60 143.00 166.33 124.75 Vardy 148.00 126.86 139.71 122.25 Daka 91.50 61.00 98.00 65.33 Purely League Stats by Year: Iheanacho Year Games Minutes Goals Assists Total Goals per Min G/A per minute 23/24 19 858 5 1 6 171.60 143.00 22/23 28 1119 5 5 10 223.80 111.90 21/22 26 1258 4 5 9 314.50 139.78 20/21 25 1456 12 2 14 121.33 104.00 19/20 26 962 5 4 9 192.40 106.89 18/19 30 917 1 4 5 917.00 183.40 17/18 21 823 3 3 6 274.33 137.17 Total 175 7393 35 24 59 211.23 125.31 Vardy Year Games Minutes Goals Assists Total Goals per Min G/A per minute 23/24 18 888 6 1 7 148.00 126.86 22/23 37 1851 3 4 7 617.00 264.43 21/22 25 1806 15 2 17 120.40 106.24 20/21 34 2844 15 9 24 189.60 118.50 19/20 35 3034 23 5 28 131.91 108.36 18/19 34 2720 18 4 22 151.11 123.64 17/18 37 3255 20 1 21 162.75 155.00 16/17 35 2808 13 6 19 216.00 147.79 15/16 36 3210 24 8 32 133.75 100.31 14/15 34 2271 5 10 15 454.20 151.40 Total 325 24687 142 50 192 173.85 128.58 Daka Year Games Minutes Goals Assists Total Goals per Min G/A per minute 23/24 6 366 4 2 6 91.50 61.00 22/23 30 1179 4 4 8 294.75 147.38 21/22 23 1155 5 3 8 231.00 144.38 Total 59 2700 13 9 22 207.69 122.73
  8. Sorry to hear the news. Shocking and totally not called for by that person. Unfortunately our club, like every other has pond life that still belongs in the swamp.
  9. Just take the fuses out of the bloody fuse box, turn the water off at the stop. Chaos!
  10. Shock as everyone realises that the amount you spend on a player, doesn’t equate to how good they are. On paper, we could have a team of Donnarumma, Cancelo, Grimaldo, Bastoni, Koundé, De Jong, Valverde, Ødegaard, Mbappe, Haaland and Musiala. if we’d purchased or picked them all at the right time, you could have that team for £0.
  11. Blackpool Tower fire now confirmed as “orange netting”
  12. The issue with VAR is not the technology to be honest. The rules are ambiguous. Offside - change it back to daylight, much easier to determine. Red card - anything above the ankle, leaving the ground, or GBH. Simulation, make it a yellow that is determined by VAR. Handball, if it’s outside the whilst standing, below the elbow, it’s a foul. Jumping, sliding etc, just make a decision on be consistent on what it is. ….. and please can be bring in instant yellows for surrounding the referee.
  13. Mid January to early February is going to be a bit of a challenge for us. Lots of games AFCON Asian Cup Squad refresh We’ve got the following games during Jan / Feb. 01/01 - Huddlesfield (H) 06/01 - Millwall (A) FA Cup 13/01 - Coventry (A) 22/01 - Ipswich (H) 27/01 - Swansea (H) / FA Cup Round 4 03/02 - Stoke (A) 10/02 - Watford (A) 13/02 - Sheffield Wednesday (H) 17/02 - Middlesborough (H) 24/02 - Leeds (A) 28/02 - FA Cup Round 5 The Asian cup runs from the 12th Jan, to the 10th February. AFCON runs 13th January, to the 11th February. Provisional squad list here for AFCON: https://www.cafonline.com/media/szzh20fx/afcon-2023-provisional-squads-list.pdf We’ll be losing Ndidi, Daka, Iheanacho, Fatawu and Souttar. Leeds will lose Costa. Ipswich will lose Tuanzebe, Morsy and Burgess. Luongo retired last week, which has upset a few Ozzies I believe. Southampton will lose Sulemana and Aribo. We’ve also got the impending juggle coming up with the January transfer window. Maresca has already stated that to bring players in, we’ll need to move players on. We don’t need four forwards in this system, so one of them will most likely go. Iheanacho is the one. That might rock the boat with Ndidi, however with all the talk on him moving, we should cash in now if he won’t sign a new deal. That wipes a load off the wage bill and if we replace early with players that aren’t playing international tournaments in the middle of the season, it might benefit us. Likewise with Souttar, who seemingly isn’t fancied. Praet take what we can get and let him go to Torino. Then ship out two of Smithies, Iversen and Ward, as we don’t need four goalkeepers, never mind five! That makes 5 places for me, we need another wide midfield / attacker (to replace Albrighton who expires in the summer) An 8, a centre back and potentially another forward long term if Vardy is retiring at the end of this season. O’Reilly, Gronbaek, maybe another forward then a centre back. I’m surprised we haven’t looked at Balikwisha or Giovani Reyner. I’d imagine we’ll see some movement on contracts as well. Potentially Vestergaard re-signing for another 1-2 years, makes sense but it’ll upset some no doubt. Vestergaard is on 9 yellows, so realistically he’s serving a 2 game ban at some point. That gives us a challenge in central defence, however Coady / Faes / Doyle should hopefully be able to cover. We get through these next 10ish games and we’ll be okay. We need to manage the squad and injuries, but it’s encouraging to see Cannon and Doyle back. We need Vardy, McAteer and Albrighton back early January if possible.
  14. We should have a rate the ref thread. As I think he’s picking up a 3 at best’
  15. Or as Foxestalk calls it, Tielemansitus.
  16. The game should have been over in the first half. I think it was a penalty in the first half. Definitely a penalty in the second half. They should be a man down. We lost control with some terrible substitutions. I can’t see us taking Casadei or Agnus next season. Iheanacho offered nothing when he replaced Daka. I half hope we sell him this month and put a cap on his Leicester career. The fact he’s not universally loved totally comes from the fact he’s so hit and miss. They pressed us from the off but the defence looked comfortable. It’s not like they created loads and loads of chances, causing Mads to make save after save. Out crappy Boxing Day results continue. Anyone got any xG numbers?
  17. He’s gone past Casadei far to easy to shoot then ….
  18. He needs to release the ball ……
  19. You can’t have both since the change to the rules a few seasons ago. It’s one or the other.
  20. I think you’re right actually.
  21. VAR would have given us a penalty and sent them down to 10 men.
  22. That’s another penalty
  23. I was just about to write this. I’m assuming the next change is Choudhury for Ricardo.
  24. That’s a 2nd yellow and a sending off for Harness. Ref has bottled that.
  25. This half has been scrappy,
