https://getfootballnewsbene.com/feyenoord-join-leicester-city-lorient-and-toulouse-in-race-to-sign-moroccan-talent-ibrahim-salah-from-rennes/?utm_content=cmp-true Feyenoord join Leicester City, Lorient and Toulouse in race to sign Moroccan talent Ibrahim Salah from Rennes According to L’Équipe, Feyenoord are interested in signing Moroccan talent Ibrahim Salah from Rennes. The current Eredivisie champions are the next side to have registered an interest in Salah after FC Lorient, Toulouse, Brest, Leicester City and Olympiacos. Ibrahim Salah has featured just 24 times in Ligue 1 since his €6.5m move from Gent in January 2023. The 22-year-old can play anywhere across the front line and still hasn’t been used enough in an underachieving Rennes side. Feyenoord have already made contact with Rennes, who are willing to let the Belgian-born talent leave on loan this month. Salah made a remarkable impact for Rennes at the start of the season, as he scored a brace during his seven minute cameo in their opening game of the season against FC Metz. Since November 12th, he’s played just thirteen minutes of football in Ligue 1. Feyenoord could do with some extra attacking threat, as they’re struggling to replicate last season’s incredible title charge. Arne Slot’s side are currently second in the Eredivisie table, ten points off PSV Eindhoven in top spot. If they want Ibrahim Salah’s signature, they’ll have to fight off competition from several other top sides.

Every club has its share of morons. To tarnish all fans with the same brush isn’t fair, to the people who attend games to watch the team they support. We had had idiots signing “feed the scousers”. Newcastle sang “that” song about Adam Johnson. Drives of Liverpool fans mimicking aeroplanes to emulate the Munich Air Disaster. Park Sung has a song about eating dogs then could be worse being Scouse. Fans singing about the Togo bus attack to Adebayour. Leeds signing Saville is one of their own. Fans singing “You’re just a town full of …..” Vans singing the “Van Persie” song after he was accused They’ll Be hundreds more.

SO WE NOW HAVE A TRANSFER BATTLE, FOR THE GREAT DANNY WARD! However will we cope without him?

https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/cardiff-city-set-for-transfer-battle-with-sheffield-united-for-leicester-city-goalkeeper-danny-ward/ Cardiff City set for transfer battle with Sheffield United for Leicester City player Danny Ward has not been in Leicester's first-team squad this season, and he could be about to get the chance to go and play football once more Leicester City's rebuild following their relegation from the Premier League has seen a number of experienced players fall by the wayside at the King Power Stadium - ones who are either getting limited minutes or are not being seen at all. And when the Foxes landed Danish goalkeeper Mads Hermansen from Brondby in the summer, the writing was somewhat on the wall for Danny Ward's future at the East Midlands outfit. Hermansen was immediately installed as first-choice by Maresca, and that relegated the experienced Ward to joint third-choice with Daniel Iversen, with even the untested Jakub Stolarczyk ahead of them in the pecking order. Ward played 26 times in the Premier League for Leicester last season and was the favoured choice of Brendan Rodgers in-between the sticks, but not long before the Northern Irishman was sacked as manager last year, Ward was dropped for Iversen and he has never regained his place in the starting 11. The 30-year-old has not made a single appearance in any competition so far in 2023-24, and he still has a year-and-a-half left to run on the contract extension that he signed in 2021 - the Wales international though could be set for a lifeline with two clubs interested in signing him. Cardiff City want Ward but face Sheffield United competition The Sun's Alan Nixon has reported via his Patreon account that Ward is wanted by two clubs in the January transfer window, and one of those is Cardiff City. The Bluebirds are keen to loan Ward in for the second half of the season and bring him back to his home country, with regular first-team football potentially going some way for the ex-Liverpool man to secure his spot in the Wales starting 11 at EURO 2024 if they make it. Cardiff boss Erol Bulut already added a loan goalkeeper in the summer in the form of Arsenal's Runar Alex Runarsson, but the Icelandic stopper has disappointed and he could be sent back to the Emirates Stadium if City can land a replacement. The favourites to sign Ward though are top flight strugglers Sheffield United, with Chris Wilder looking to replace Wes Foderingham at Bramall Lane. Nixon claims that the Blades have already contacted Leicester about a deal for Ward, and they are keen to either sell their out of favour stopper or loan him out with an obligation to buy. If Premier League football is on the table for Ward - even for a few months - then he's likely going to take it. Wes Foderingham hasn't been impressive this season for United and it's no real surprise that Wilder is looking at other options, and whilst Ward will be a bit rusty having not played in 2023-24 yet, he's still got plenty of experience. Cardiff will probably be hoping that Sheffield United's interest cools, but they do perhaps need an improvement on Runarsson, who has failed to impress the fans in the Welsh capital since his arrival. The Bluebirds' recruitment team must have some alternative options on their mind if Ward does head to Bramall Lane, but they should be making a big push for his services at the same time.

I’d like Luton, Brighton, Fulham, West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield United, Brentford or Wolves. Let’s test ourselves against a mid to lower end Premier League team.

FFP sanctions could get a little tasty. Manchester City have so many if proved, that they’ll end up in the Championship as well. Unless they just chuck them down a few leagues. Forest, Everton, Leeds, Newcastle and Chelsea. If they all get docked in the same season, if just gives everyone else a head start.

If you go to the Stoke forum, they’ve already clocked that Iversens’ kicking is that bad, it should be investigated for spot betting.
-
They’ve got Joe Hart haven’t they at Celtic!?
-
@Daggers Cheers, all sorted now with that suggestion.

It might be worth pinning something in the main forum donations and what it provides @Mark.

Ah, noted! I should maybe contributed to our cause, considering I’ve been with us for years!

Cheers @Mark I didn’t know that we had a user limit.

Not many in the Championship do have the same ability as Wilf.

Hello! I’ve tried to insert a “meme” into the Traitors topic. However it says that the limit is 46kb, which seems a little low? Please could you advise if this is correct? Much love and thank you in advance. Sly!

Surely he’d prefer the Danny Ward shirt?

Gifting titles to the likes of Paula Vennels, diminishes them to be honest.

I think it’s generally accepted that Barton is a bit extreme in his views let’s say. If you ever hear Neville speak about his first time on Sky Sports, he was nervous, anxious he’d say something daft etc. it takes time to learn how to do a job. Neville and Carragher have been given the time to grow. The same will be required not just for female pundits, but all pundits. Like any job, it doesn’t matter if you’re male, female, black, white, non binary, pregnant, Christian, Hindu, Muslim, atheist, have a disability, eighteen, eighty two or thirty seven. When I listen, I just want to learn and gain a better appreciation for what I’m watching.

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/25271364/danny-ward-sheffield-united-transfer-news-leicester-euros/amp/ Leicester outcast Danny Ward thrown Premier League transfer lifeline in boost to Wales goalkeeper’s Euro 2024 chances The keeper wants first-team football ahead of the upcoming Euros, and may be about to get that in the Premier League SHEFFIELD UNITED want to throw keeper Danny Ward a Premier League lifeline — and boost his Euro 2024 chances. The Blades have asked Leicester about their out-of-favour Wales No 1 and boss Chris Wilder is keen on a loan for the rest of the season — with a possible buy in summer. Ward is keen on the move to boost his chances of winning Wales' no1. Ward, 30, would leap at the chance to get back into the top flight and also get him ready for the Euro finals if the Welsh make it through the play-offs in March. The former Liverpool keeper cost £12.5million in 2018 yet is only third choice and Foxes would sell him, ideally. But a loan may suit them and pledging a full-time transfer would get the deal done. Ward joining on a temporary deal would also mean one of the Blades’ domestic loan players must go. Prem clubs can only have two domestic loan players at any one time and they currently have Leicester left-back Luke Thomas and attacker James McAtee from Manchester City. Thomas is the most likely to be let go. Blades also looked at experienced Kasper Schmeichel, who is now with Anderlecht in Belgium, but the 37-year-old Dane may be too dear. If United cannot do a deal for Ward, Cardiff would step in with a rival loan offer.

https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/leicester-city-fresh-15m-transfer-9011035.amp Leicester City in fresh €15m transfer claim as club set to seek talks Victor Kristiansen says he has no future at Leicester City Bologna are reportedly seeking talks with Leicester City over loanee Victor Kristiansen. The 21-year-old joined the Serie A outfit on a season-long loan last summer, and Bologna have an option which allows them to buy Kristiansen for €15m. According to Corriere dello Sport (via Tutto Bologna Web) Bologna consider the purchase fee high and may initiate further talks with City. They want to drive the price down. The Italian outlet claim Kristiansen "has not yet fully convinced with his performances" and therefore Bologna will have to consider whether to take a risk on a permanent deal. Technical director Giovanni Sartori is reportedly be behind all decisions. The Dane meanwhile, believes he has "no future" at the King Power Stadium. The left-back struggled to make an impact after joining from FC Copenhagen for £17m last year. "It has been hard," he added. "I probably experienced the hardest way to go abroad. I joined a dysfunctional team with a coach (Brendan Rodgers) under pressure, who was then fired. I was in a difficult position as a young and newly acquired player, where I suddenly had to help save the club."

Do Coventry fans get praise though? Do they? Really?
