  1. There was a cross towards the end of the game where a half sharp Vardy gets across his man and at least gives himself a chance. Instead he was on his heels and let the defender just head it away. I get what people are saying about the service but he's just not sharp enough anymore
  2. He's not to blame but the fact we gave him a new contract is a sign of how bad the decision making at this club has been. Putting sentimentality over the needs of the club
  3. It's tough but I struggle to get that angry at players who simply aren't good enough at this level. Too many short term decisions have left us in this position. Let Ruud take the fall for the rest of the season while planning wholesale changes in the summer
  4. So we pay Ruud off and bring someone else in who will inevitably fail and carry that negativity into the championship. I'd keep him just so we can save a bit of money and reset in the summer
  5. Sack him, don't sack him, it really doesn't matter. The players aren't anywhere near good enough for this level- once you accept that fact, it makes you alot less angry at what's happening right now
  6. We play some decent stuff at times but the lack of pace in forward areas is killing us. Not Mavididi's biggest fan but can't really understand him not getting a look in
  7. I agree, this forum is ridiculous for OTT reactions and I tey to avoid them where possible. But I've not seen a first half like that in a while. It was the nature of the goals more than anything, you don't see goals like that at this level. And I did say worst half I've seen in a while, not worst half I've ever seen
  8. Not one for hyperbole, but that was the worst half of football I've seen in a long time. Those are the type of goals you don't see teams conceding at professional level let alone premier league level. Defence is bad but it's all over the pitch, absolutely miles off it
  9. It's just a poor squad of players. You can argue about the odd choice here or there but nothing is working. I get he wants to try and go a bit more defensive because we have to try to stop leaking so many goals. But a midfield of Winks and Soumare is so easy to cut through I can't see that changing the wide players will make too much difference
  10. Well I wouldn't have got rid of Cooper for exactly that reason but I still think performances have improved and I don't see any point in changing again
  11. I'd stick by him. Performances have been slightly better under Ruud even though the results have been worse. We were going down this year no matter what, give him some time to implement his style for the Championship next year
  12. Performances have been better under Ruud than Cooper, but results much worse. Either way, we were going down. The lack of joined up thinking in the recruitment and managerial appointments concerns me most. I would accept going down if I could understand there was a long term strategy
  13. Performance is good. Plenty of endeavour, Vardy's link up play seems better now than when he was at his peak. Crying out for more pace on the counter, the loss of Fatawu really is a killer for us
  14. The amount of guff which was spoken when Cooper got sacked that this team were some how being held back by the manager. Cooper probably wasn't the right choice, not sure RvN is either. But this squad at full strength just isn't good enough let alone when we're missing our 2 best players in Fatawu and Hermasen. I'll give RvN a chance but the recruitment in January has to be looking at the long term rather just trying to muddle our way through this season
  15. I agree, it's strange he hasn't taken to Buonanotte. Don't know if there's a reason behind that or not. But you've kind of proved my point by saying that the best player in our squad is a kid who at the minute isn't thought to be good enough to play for Brighton
  16. With all due respect, I think you're a bit delusional about the state of this squad. Maybe a better squad than Southampton but nobody else in the league. As for our current position, how many of those points we've won were deserved? Our position has been a false one for a while and it was always going to catch up with us. I wasn't a fan of RvN's appointment either but I'm not sure there's a manager we could realistically get who would save us
  17. Collectively we're just nowhere near good enough for this league. We've basically got the dregs of the squad from 2 years ago plus some players who weren't good enough for mid table PL teams. I'm amazed we have as many points as we do
  18. He showed the good and bad sides to his game in that cameo last night. Made some really useful interceptions to stop attacks before they got going, which we were lacking with Vestegaard on the pitch. Stayed calm on the ball in the build up to third goal. But as always threw in a mistake at the end that almost cost us. I've defended him alot on here cus I still think there's a top player there but unless he cuts out those errors he has to stay out of the team
  19. Agree that the big takeaway from the interview after the game was him wanting to see the ball moving forward more quickly. But I think this is far more a legacy of Maresca than Cooper. I think you can see certain players still playing the way Maresca wanted to and it was never going to work in PL with this squad. Cooper was too much of a departure the other way, hopefully Ruud is somewhere in between
  20. I don't think there's a combination of players we can pick which doesn't have the Championship written all over it
  21. Happy with the change in formation. Don't see an alternative with Fatawu out. Still a Championship looking line up but the only one I'm surprised about is Thomas- think Kristiansen has been one of our better players this year
  22. Hated him as a player. Will love him if he keeps us up
  23. I think he's done a good job over 2 years there, particularly having had next to no money to spend. He also did a very good job at Huddersfield. I was impressed with the way West Brom set up against us last year and thought they should have beaten us at least once. I'd certainly take him over RvN who has no experience at a club like Leicester and not much managerial experience at all
  24. Just like the summer, not too enthused by the names on the list. West Ham played terrible football under Moyes with alot better squad than ours, Potter has turned the job down before so doesn't say much for his enthusiasm for it, and RvN is too inexperienced. I'd personally go for Corberan- he's done a very good job with West Brom in difficult financial circumstances and was rated highly by Bielsa when he worked with him
  25. It was always a strange appointment. We were very timid in our approach and I think we've probably got more points than our performances deserve. Having said that, I think this squad has relegation written all over it no matter who they get in
