Really? I thought his attitude tonight was shocking. He should be a leader out there and he was strolling around like it was a training game
-
Score a last minute equaliser and no celebration from anyone. No team spirit at all in this squad. Vestegaard has been walking around the pitch like he couldn't give a shit all night
-
Commentators working hard to create any jeopardy in this one
-
He suffers from the shite that's around him. Teams double and triple up on him and make him ineffective because he's our only threat. Having said that, he makes some brain dead decisions sometimes
-
Don't think I've ever enjoyed a winning goal less than that. Just shook my head when it went in. There's so much wrong with this team it's hard to know where to begin. 3 more points towards safety is the only positive
-
If the board gave him the aim of at least reaching the play offs, as delusional as that aim now seems, the only reason he isn't gone is because King Power can't afford to get rid
-
I agree. But he tries to make up for his limitations by making really stupid decisions. It's not his fault he keeps getting picked and was given a 4 year contract extension
-
Feel sorry for Luke. He's way out of his depth and shouldn't be being played. Teams have targeted that side all year
-
Fair enough. But I don't think we can write off the idea of him playing striker after that half either
-
Not fair to judge him after that half
-
We do need divine intervention
-
I agree it seems like that and has done all season. But he's not telling the team to go out and get dominated. He's been given a tough hand with these players and everything else going on at the club. But he knew what he was walking into and it just isn't working for him. That first half should make it clear to those making the decisions at the club that a change is needed
-
I know the players are poor, but you're seeing the difference between a team who have completely bought into what their manager wants them to do and another that either can't get his message across or the players aren't having him
-
Long assumed striker was our priority in January but must get a left back first. I've no doubt Luke tries harder than most in this squad but he's just not good enough
-
Will only really start believing in Marti when a win comes with a good performance. We rely on individual moments and that will never be enough to sustain a good run of results. On the plus side, the youngsters came on and injected some energy into the team

LCFC 3-1 Ipswich, post-match thread

All those times Abdul ballooned it over the bar from 20 yards, he was just practicing for this -

We have zero control over games. Too many players who either aren't good enough or have no football IQ -

A midfield of Skipp, BDCR and Ayew is interesting when you're clinging on for dear life -

Agreed. I used to think a striker was the most important signing in Jan but I would prioritise new full backs, especially left back -
He's avoided most of the criticism because everyone hates Faes so much, but he's a big problem in the side. Forces the defence to play so deep because of how slow he is and creates massive spaces between the lines

Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
MancFox24 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'd have more sympathy for this argument if we'd invested the money sensibly. Instead, we gave out contracts like we were dealing in Monopoly money and ended up with players on contracts well above what they were worth. Our wages to turnover ratio was too high when we were successful, so when we missed out on Europe by finishing 8th, we were left with a squad that needed refreshing but with no funds to do it. Understandably the fringe players who were on ridiculous contracts refused to move, our most valuable players in Tielemans and Maddison refused to sign new deals and we've spiralled ever since. I have sympathy with the argument that PSR is a barrier to ambition. But it shouldn't take away responsibility from the people negotiating the deals who gave players like Bertrand and Vestegaard huge contracts well beyond our means and what they were worth. -
I'd drop Vestegaard. He was OK under Maresca when we dominated the ball but he's just too slow when we don't and his distribution has been poor this season. We need pace in the forward areas so I'd be tempted to give Mavididi a go down the middle with Fatawu and Monga either side
-
I get what you're saying but if you keep making so many changes it seems a bit like you don't know what you're doing and you're just scrambling around trying to make something work. I don't get any sense of what we're trying to do. He was dealt a bad hand with this squad but managers are there to get the best out of the team they're given and if this is the best we've got, we're in serious trouble
-
Just no idea what we're trying to do. Fear we're sleepwalking towards relegation
-
Keeper just has to cone for that
