  1. The Carragher piece on the mistake really sums up why everyone outside of Liverpool has an issue with Liverpool, answering a question about his news paper column comments that this will bring a siege mentality into the Liverpool squad he says yes & opens with “when you feel you’ve been wronged or people are against you…” 1st arghh then ”…it will bring the dressing room closer together and it certainly feels like the Liverpool fans are more closer and want to fight more for Juergen Klopp…..” arrrrghhhhh victims victims victims the worlds against us! I said in a previous post that ‘for me anyway’ there was always something or someone at Liverpool that you liked about them, going back to Bob Paisley (Moran/Evans) & the true legends & even more recently turn of the naughtys there were still the odd players you liked, Gerrard, Hypia, Alonso, McAllister, Torres, Milner (took awhile) but of the recent batch probably only Firmino but now he’s gone there’s no one or nothing I can like about that club. The young scouse lads coming through are some of the worst, they have this arrogance about them, brought on from them only being in the terraces a few years ago themselves and bringing this ‘it’s us against the world’ hangover with them from the stands. Then Klopp ‘the messiah’ I have never brought into the ‘ it’s just passion’ like many on here have said and wished from our managers, the man is truly an awful sportsman! Quickly moving on before my ulcers bursts, Ange’s interview hits the nail on the head in that what was VAR brought in for, it’s lost its way and no longer for clear and obvious errors, it’s everything now and slowing the game down which is what made the English game enjoyable to fans and players alike, he calls for it be scrapped which in its current form holds weight. Finally on referee’s, i think we the average fan have a part to play in their failure, we constantly pick every decision apart and that stems from a young 14yr old starting out managing a U7s game where they have a players parent running the lines for them. I have seen 1st hand a grown man abuse a 14yr new referee for making mistakes, it’s inexcusable, we seem to picture refs coming out of training & somehow be Collina from the get’go. The refs course consists of 3 weekend sessions a practical & written exam and out they go, they are on a constant learning curve until they retire from the game be that 16 because they have had enough of the game or 60. It really surprised me to think and still does that the ref should be the finished article yet players are allowed this time to grow through their careers learning every day, how does a goalkeeper that’s paid 330k a week not get abused like a ref does when he concedes a goal, we automatically look for excuses in the build up, ooh a little tug on his shirt there, ref come on you missed that you’ve cost us a goal, it really is unbelievable the abuse they get and 9 times out of 10 those abusing would say no to picking up a whistle. Leave them be, using the 9 out of 10 rule they are usually right but being human they will make the odd mistake just like the £0 to £*k per week player they are allowing to play a game of football for.
  2. Klopp say’s after win in Europe that Liverpool are over the incident, we have moved on we are not babies 😂 This will rumble on and driven by Liverpool, he will continue to drop references to it in all his interviews for that sympathy card.
  3. Fergie jumping from the popping balloon every time 😂
  4. West Ham set a new English European record going 17 games unbeaten, fair play 👏
  5. You think he has the ceiling of a Championship player only whilst the likes of (& just picking British midfielders) Longstaff, McTominay, Jones, Elliott, Anderson, Ritchie, Murphy, Mount, Willock, all currently play in the Champions League
  6. At this stage last season Sheff U led the way with 20pts and Burnley back in 4th with 17, it’s looking good. I really want us to write another few lines in the history books, most goals, least conceded and obviously most points.
  7. Fair play sees this as the harder game obviously and will shuffle the pack on Saturday v Stoke I guess
  8. talking of which, i'm so glad that the Jones Red was upheld as i had a nasty suspicion that the appeals committee were going to take 1 for the team & rule it out
  9. Unless they are all calculated by WUMs then it would seem that Liverpool are the team with most decisions going in their favour anyway
  10. + wouldn't it be hugely ironic if he lost a few players to long term injuries during that reply & couldn't start the following season all for an additional 2.2m in league place gained
  11. Well madly this is looking more & more like that it could be replayed it would just depend on how much Liverpool push, all the i's & T's are being looked at legally. It's thought that Liverpool will push for the ruling but not seek to play now & leave it open until the end of the season & if they lose out on the title or a place within the league they will submit the replay request. can, worms, everywhere!
  12. He'll be a fair chunk of the budget granted maybe £35-40m but his wages are currently championship level (40k) despite being at Arsenal. He's not getting game time currently because Arsenal spent 65m on Havertz & are paying him 330k pwk he'll always play ahead of ESR soley down to their investment, the other 8 is the club captain. They do also have a fair amount of midfield options backing up the 3 starters of Rice, Odegaard & Havertz & with their recent success & wanting to keep moving forward i'd expect them to be spending big again in the summer on 'names'. He was playing really well & regularly when he came onto the scene at 19yrs & broke into the ENG side keeping Maddison out for example, a groin injury kept him out most of last season. His style & understanding of play is almost tailor made for Enzo & a lot less of a risk than trying to secure say McAtee or Casadei, if we had him now he'd be a starter for sure over all we have playing 8s currently.
  13. Hopefully he'd look at Villa & see they are stacked with players operating in the same area as him. I feel the biggest threat would come from West Ham (depnding on how they do this season) purely on location, it wouldn't be to much of a move for him & would probably be closer to a starting slot. The other London clubs i don't think he would entertain Palace or Fulham, hopefully he'd look at Chelsea & think what is going on there but they could be a threat just because they are after all the decent talent in his age group & then Spurs, well would he jump over to Spurs from Arsenal? I know these type of things happen more than they did & Spurs could be a good option for him but can't see him going. Can't see Liverpool, Man C going for him or him wanting Man U & despite us (hopefully) being the new kids on the block, are not a million miles off in offerings than the rest of the league.....ooh forgot Brighton hmm they might be an issue. So other than going abroad we have a good a chance as most other teams of offering him something & feel he'd fill 1 of those 8s perfectly, although won't come cheap but on all accounts as he's not getting a look in, is very much open to moving.
  14. I don't see Liverpool coming out & apologising for the racist abuse Udogie is receiving from Liverpool fans on line for being fouled by Jota, they are to busy playing the victims & notice they will also challenge the red card Jones received. They will probably win as well just to take a bit of heat off the Diaz situation which then just undermines the whole process, man i hope the body sticks firm & extends the ban for challenging because another weekend that will be a red all day long for 90% of the clubs in the league....sadly we know the body will cave as a good will gesture
  15. Some good goals but Petermann's was the best of the lot you don't see many bullet headers like that in womens football, she also did well to create the space for herself. She should certainly make a difference to our frontline
  16. Real shame he was up their with player of season so far. Will this mean Wanya might get his chance
  17. Shame we conceded the penalty not only to match the men’s score but every goal will count for 3 or 4 teams that will be fighting it out at the bottom. Would imagine it’ll be Bristol odds on to be relegated so nice to get 3 of 6 out of them from the off
  18. Leicester Top of both leagues they are in currently
  19. His pass to KDH is what KDH is missing in his game
  20. Well I guess it’s because it’s against Leicester City where every game against us will be seen as a cup final and a free hit
  21. Why do fans insist on picking a stating 11 like it’s and U12s game? You don’t have to pick your best ‘players’ to start every game, you don’t have to pick a player because he scored a goal in the previous game. Rotation and keeping players fresh, hungry and involved is what you need. The bench is designed to win games, enable you to change an approach, bring on certain players against tiring sides and in the words of Eddie Jones call them finishers. If Coady and Vestergaard or McAteer and Fatawu swapped every game I wouldn’t have much of a issue with that, we play 3 games a week 4 every 10 days or so it’s not an issue with getting rhythm because it works out 2 games in 7 for each player. The issues is finding a solution to rest JJ he can’t play every game, Ricard and it looks like Winks will have Hamza rotating with them but JJ needs a solution, I would assume it will be Faes with Souttar being RCB
  22. Well Klopp took that better than expected. Although he does insist that Jones foul wasn’t a red, I’m sure if reversed on his player he’ll be saying dangerous and should be a red. We know what’s happened with him riding over the ball and unfortunately hitting a grounded leg but I’d imagine most clubs up and down the country have had a sending off for that, we certainly have. We want consistency and at least they being consistent. Jota, After his (their) antics with us midweek where they seemed to get away with constant fouls, he’s been pulled. The 1st 1 does he cross the back of him and knick him slightly or does the spurs player trip himself? If knicked then it’s a foul and was he stopping a break ‘take 1 for the team types’ therefore a yellow. It might look harsh but ‘pro foul’ + Neville also says he could have got a yellow for the previous challenge so is ref just adding up and saying yellow for persistent fouling? No issue with 2nd yellow out of control both feet off deck. The big call, sadly it’s pure and simple human error, if VAR thought they heard on field decision goal and they quickly looked to make sure he was on side which we clearly see then it’s just a simple communication error on the day & that’s that. How the lino flagged it I don’t know he obviously wasn’t keeping up with play & probably more on him that anyone else, but it’s a human error and happens from championship down and accepted as part of win some lose some. The issue is protocols, what is said between officials on these checks and then the not showing on screen or conversation on tv. They continue to stick their heels in and want to reinvent the wheel because it’s football when Rugby, cricket and anything else show there is a working system. The words check complete is not enough, obviously we don’t hear what he’s been asked to check, but using rugby, we all see/hear the ask, “on field decision try unless you can advise otherwise” (words to that affect) reply “we can see no clear and obvious reason why you can’t award the try, stick with on field decision, you may award the try” (again words to that affect) I understand the need to speed things up but if in football the wording is “check” & “check complete” then that’s open to misunderstanding. After that the fact you can’t step in after this miscommunication is daft, it also happens in rugby whereby you can’t reverse a decision once the conversions been taken but usually not much of a problem as there’s time between awarding and taking. Here once ref pointed to free kick offside the protocol has failed in that VAR can’t jump in, there was enough time to jump in and say No no it’s a goal, prior to free kick being taken yes there will be shouts of you don’t know what ya doing and the talk would be about that from spurs perspective but it would have been right. To not be able to say “stop sorry miscommunication, it was a goal” is all on the protocol
  23. All the talk of Glad no VAR in Championship but what was the on field decision?
