Like a few others I certainly think he will, prior to injury ‘Only three players in the Division had played more progressive passes than Doyle, while he also lead the City squad for passes into the penalty area’ which kind of disputes the rigid LCB role assumption that’s apparently stifling JJs game. I rate JJ as much as the next but Doyle gives that bit extra in this set up.

Are they? Chelsea could be in serious trouble after spending £1bn in under 2yrs and don’t even look like making the Euro conf comp. Man U are becoming a laughing stock Spurs are being Spurs Newcastle look like they had their season last season Arsenal going well but have a bit of Spurs in them Man C worst we have seen them play for years now Only Liverpool are showing some consistency but still far from what we have seen from them previously The points for the top positions are slightly down from previous seasons, Villa are being this seasons Newcastle and Brighton the season before last, and fair play to them, but remember they have spent some wedge themselves recently so should be pushing. The fight for the top spot is still out of reach for these clubs but now as you mention 4th spot is within grasp, the deep squads of the “normal top” generally see them pick up from January onwards as injuries, suspension etc take their toll on the challengers. Long way still to go, we have West Ham, a team that diced with relegation and wanting Moyes sacked, above Chelsea and 3pts from 5th, the so called “top teams” are no longer guaranteed 1-6 anymore, well not until the rules are tweaked again to shut the rest from catching them up

I’d be very happy with that & agree about Hamza so might even think keep Ricky on the bench as we just starting silly season with 7 games in 22 days. we do need to find a solution for JJ to get a breather somehow also

Good to see Doyle participating in the warm up part of the 1st team training this week. He obviously then went off and did his own session but would seem he’s on schedule for a January return thankfully.

No surprise Tigers have been on a winning run now the big guns are back but this weekend is the start of the Champions Cup & i don't hold out much hope of them qualifying out of the group, its insane:- Tigers, Leinster, La Rochelle, Sale, Stade Francais & the Stormers
-
He's out running but not due to join 1st team trainer for another 3 weeks, so all still on track to feature again in Jan 2024

Not saying it will be this & you've probably checked but if the outlet pipe has frozen ( & it doesn't have to be a large ice blockage) then the safety turns off the boiler & won't start until thawed out which is thankfully really simple to fix. Mine was constantly doing it through the winter so i just lagged the outside part of the pipe which went into downspout of drain & issue solved.

I think it's that, his angle wasn't great & he's playing advantage which unlike Rugby is only for the next action so as soon as Haaland pings it if he deems the outcome of that is not falling for Man C then he calls it back which is what he must have thought. Pundit's etc saying he should play it out don't understand the advantage rule, you just know if nothing came of it or Grealish was off side etc they would be saying should go back to freekick but it can't!

It must be the worst thing for a goalkeeper, once it's gone once the chances are it'll continue to happen especially when you bounce off it 30 times a day. Sadly it could be a career ending injury for him.

My comment was in response to our Harry being pulled up for only scoring against lesser sides, using Kane as an example shows you can only score against what’s in front of you
-
I don’t wanna be that guy but Harry Kane has scored 62 international goals, 4 v Germany and 2 a piece v Italy & France then the rest v ??

Defo part of the curriculum, gunna say that & the jazz singer which lead to loving for Neil diamond to the point of its 03:00 hours and he’s on the Alexa, swapping between him and Kenny Rodgers….sometimes it just happens & I don’t even care wot people think of me!

He caused their goal by hitting the ball out to the side allowing the long throw into the box instead of belting it down field thou. Yes he then got a defenders header out of the box, it was actually Nacho who made the goal by staying on his feet and keeping hold of the ball prior to releasing KdH
-
Why did Vestergaard just boot it sideways for a throw, it should have gone down the pitch not to the side

Yes these animals are currently bred for what we use them for but weren’t created in a lab, if you take away what they are currently being bred for no one is going to pay their up keep in any numbers for them to simply exist. Remember like everything in this world less means more expensive & that would be more expensive to farm and more expensive to purchase meat which in the long run will drop numbers to the point of why farm them at all. I also don’t talk of an overnight here today gone tomorrow but once they are stopped being bred for human consumption it is realistically game over for that species, the delta between stop and extinction would be ?? mind.
-
It’s certainly a noodle scratcher. I’m not sure there will be a happy medium mind, it’ll certainly slide (I don’t want to use left or right of centre as sounds to political) wildly on the scale depending on which camp your head/heart is at. Personally you can’t see past eventual extinction on the horizon after an initial drawdown idea leads to it being too expensive to farm or buy the product. Then on the other side in layman’s term it’s a ‘quick win’ just like reducing opex in a company, they crunch some numbers, workout X leads to Y emissions & take the short term solution to a bigger issue.
-
This isn’t aimed at you Wortho as I guess you’re just putting it out there but to the hardcore activists that want a ban on any species being harvested for human consumption (solid or liquid) what do they then expect will happen to these species? Let’s think cow but refers to everything pig, chicken, sheep etc etc if cows aren’t farmed where do they roam, who looks after them, how are numbers decided or are they not and they can just over populate or equally become extinct. Its the last 2 queries in that sentence that I can’t get my head around just because either way goes against what we would want, over populate because they are left to their own devices will have more of them living longer with more burping and farting continuing to harm the ozone as stated by climate activists or they become extinct because they are not cared for which again doesn’t fit in to what animal rights groups are fighting for (assuming these groups want a total ban on animal to human consumption and not just to be free range and have better living quarters) Ive probably not worded that right but it’s just thoughts of the knock on effect, it’s easy to say stop eating animal meat but the knock on doesn’t ever get mentioned, why would the cow farmer hang on to his 8000 acre farm land if it can’t provide for him and I’m not sure it’s as simple as ok grow sprouts due to a multitude of things, surely they would just sell up & that land will become concrete and the care and grass the cows need is no longer there, leading to what?

Has to be Logan’s Run surely and don’t anybody come back with the skinny dip in Walkabout (you know who you are)

The pending sin-bin idea will be another hindrance to Vestergaard as it will be used for cynical fouls, those so called “professional” take one for the team fouls. He’s currently got the most yellows in the team I think he sits at 8, I know a few were for professional fouls were he’s pulled the forward back as not to get in a foot race, going forward he could be spending 10minutes in the bin on a few games. I quite like the ideal of sin-bins but Its going to be a tough call to manage because the first thing a forward will do now is hit the deck & pundits will clear them by saying yes he put an arm on his shoulder or there was slight contact, but hopefully they will be dished out for cheating and feigning a foul.

Very true but both have been accused of overloading by the previous regimes within this forum and being the 2 players that have broken down the most surely if a particular game can be tweaked to provide an extended break for them then it should be done. We are after all playing Saturday Wednesday Saturday Wednesday most weeks and currently it’s those 2 that remain a constant fixture. We play bottom of the table surely 1 could be rested, Hamza for Ricardo or Harry/Conor in for Justin and Ricardo moves to LB and does his inversion from that side without disrupting to much, it’s an easy break + keeps those on the sides involved 🤷♂️ Losing 1 of those for a few weeks due to a muscle injury would have more repercussions than any other position currently.
-
Either Justin or Ricardo need resting as both are currently playing just about every game

We ALL know Vestergaard is only 1 mistake away from this thread turning full circle to page 1

All the talk of var and knocking of officials every game is taking away any authority they had left. It’s neigh on impossible to get every single decision right as an on field referee but due to all the hullabaloo after every game even the minor of details is being blown up into something to knock the officials on, which in turn is allowing players / managers (fans) to get out of jail and disrespect officials. Take last night the officials didn’t cheat to earn that penalty but all the talk is about them not the Fulham player who has. All this VAR is killing the game due to the scrutiny is ironic because it’s (VAR) being forced to do it by players, managers, media. After every game pundits, managers etc will go over every inch of a game looking for something that went against them no matter how small, it’s blown into something and then that becomes a box on VARs crib sheet, if that (what ever) is being pushed into the limelight then they will say ok we thought that was soft but if you think it’s a big issue we’ll apply it across every game and bang you have another stoppage & repeat for the next issue. VARs here, used around the world and isn’t going anywhere, all the bitching about it is just turning officials away from doing the job, when they and their families start getting death threats why the fec would you put yourself in the line of fire, a fire which is being whipped up by players, managers, media (& fans). There will come a day when you can’t play sports because you don’t have officials to run the game.
