Extending his contract is a sensible thing to do. He will only get a 2 year deal and the wages too high. Allows us to spend the budget on other areas and we know he’s a relatively solid option when used correctly.

Was sat in SK1 yesterday and the atmosphere created by the signing section was great! Was a reql mix around me of people standing and joining in and others just sitting down silent. the club need to ensure they grow the area of the ground with all of the like minded fans and that will really create a good atmosphere. can’t believe how many people left early though. Mcateer is bang average, get Akgun on to replace him. Gotta start moving the ball quicker and go for the 2nd goal or we all know what’s coming.

For me it’s quite simple, he isn’t a left back. He’s a cb. He is too slow to be out at lb and not a good enough 1v1 defender. if he starts playing at cb I could see him flourishing. He’s very composed on the ball and I would like to see him start at Cb.

Thought he was really good today. Looked the only midfielder first half to try and get on the ball and wasn’t helped by some of the players around him. Second half really stood out when we made a few subs which created space for him. I like him, he’s got some good attributes but the main one for me is his desire. He didn’t stop running.

I thought he was superb today. Looks a real class act. Give him more game time and he looks a future Prem CB to me. He’s got it all.

For me was MOTM today closely followed by Ben Nelson. made several crucial saves and looked decent with his feet too. More than happy for him to be the number 2 and push Mads for the starting spot.

If you play with the ball in their half instead of constantly going back to your own keeper you will not concede. We invite pressure onto us by insisting on ball retention for the sake of it . im all for possession but there’s a time and place. Keep the ball in their half. How many times did we have our attackers all up in their half, second half? Very few. Maresca is not learning. you keep mentioning about the shots. How many games have we had when we are not clinical enough. Couple that with late pressure invited on by ourselves and we are a recipe for conceding late and crumbling.

If we carried on with the first half intent, there was only one winner. If Maresca can’t see this he isn’t a manager who’s going to thrive in the premier league.

Maresca isn’t learning. Stop defending 1-0 leads and sitting in inviting pressure. It’s happened numerous times now and we keep reverting to it.
