Spain have undoubtedly been the best team in an otherwise, pretty average tournament, but we have the better side. If Southgate can motivate the team and encourage them to hold and give But do it at the right time, we can be slow or fast as long as we get to the line, They'll always hit you and hurt you Defend and attack!! There's only one way to beat them get 'round the back: Catch us if you can Cause This is England man! And what you're looking at is the master plan! I know we can't go wrong!

That one away at Forest gave us all a semi…

Where will you be watching the final?
Aus Fox replied to samlcfc1's topic in General Football and Sport
At home, 5am Monday morning kick off, then into work by 7:30 - maybe closer to 8. Fingers crossed for no extra time. -
Best half of the tournament for England by a long way, there looks to be a purpose to the attack and we look hungry for more. Almost like going a goal behind was the best thing that could happen to us. Foden, Mainoo and Saka outstanding. Only change is make is bringing Shaw on for Trippier. As for the penalty, I think that’s a foul anywhere else on the pitch, studs are up in a dangerous position and contact is made late. Foul all day long for me.

Anyone checked if @moore_94 is okay? Called the local hospitals etc?

So Called World Class Players that you never rated
Aus Fox replied to Leicesterpool's topic in General Football and Sport
I’m going to say in a team game Zlatan Ibrahimovic is spoken about at a level he never really reached. Again, no doubt a top player and a good finisher, but never really lasted more than a couple of seasons at a club, no champions league wins, never really did it at a major international tournament, and was probably the best self publicist the game has ever seen. This isn’t to say he’s not a top striker, he is and has scored some phenomenal goals, but for me never a world class striker and I don’t think there’s been a point in his career where he would get picked for a world class 11. -

Aus Fox replied to Leicesterpool's topic in General Football and Sport
Never has a player got so much better since they retired. There is no question he was a decent player, but during his playing career, he was never rated that highly - as far as I’m aware never won any of the end of season awards, I don’t think he ever received a single vote for Ballon D’or, never premier league player of the season and yet since retiring he’s spoken about in the same category as the all time greats. -
Three of the four teams in the semis have been pretty average to put it politely this tournament. The Dutch finished 3rd in their group, and in any other tournament would already be on the plane home, the French have only scored 2 own goals and a penalty and have arguably been worse than England. Spain are the only team so far who can say they’ve had a decent tournament. There’s a lot to criticism of England, but this is a tournament and the only thing that matters is getting through to the next stage. We’ve now had three semi finals in the last four tournaments- we’ve never had that sustained levels of achievement in our history. Southgate is clearly doing something right. The Italian teams did it for years at major tournaments winning world cups and euros by doing enough to get through without ever entertaining and at times relying on individual brilliance from world class players - not sure they ever had the level of criticism that is thrown at this England team. We are still in the tournament and have a chance of winning it. It’s time to back the lads and enjoy the ride.

With the other options currently, I would imagine he starts the season as first choice striker - with Vardy coming on late in games.

Foxes Trust Update – Shirt Sponsorship
Aus Fox replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
The fact that the rules are changing, tells us this is a morally wrong decision by the club. The grace period was given, not so clubs could make new deals like we’ve made but so existing deals could be honoured. The fact that kids shirts won’t look like the players is wrong. If we really get to a point where we don’t care who is giving us the money as long as we can compete.. it’s wrong plain and simple. Everything about this deal is wrong and most of the decent club supporters with values and morals can see it’s wrong. As a supporter base the standard we walk past, is the standard we accept. I for one, want to hold the club to higher standards than what they are showing right now. -
How many special players change how many signings have been strange where were you when we were flying high… Quickly running down the wing faster than Mbappe Where were you when we were flying high? someday you will find him, scoring in injury time… We’ve got Bobby De Cordova Reid in our side

Foxes Trust Update – Shirt Sponsorship
Aus Fox replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
Has there ever been a point in our history that the club is more out of touch with its supporters? I feel it’s decision after decision at the moment that goes against the core values of the supporter base and it’s sad to see. After reaching the highest of highs recently to now selling our soul to the highest bidder.- 151 replies

Spain Vs Germany - Friday 5th July

Agree on Spain should make the final, but the French have been even worse than England at this tournament so far… 0 goals from open play does not deserve a place in the final of any major tournament. -

This is the game Phil Foden comes to life, England to finally put in a shift and play to their potential. 3-0 win and Foden involved in all three goals.
