My original post was about who may not be playing with regarding to getting minutes on Sunday not about how the un21 we’re doing.

Both unlikely to feature for the 1st team on Sunday

So no one really missing from the un21, point to us going strong on Sunday.

I could be the sort of game that gets them firing. The main issues for our strongest team are KDH and Mavididi's form, which have been rarely rotated. I think we made a mistake buying a fourth striker rather than a creative player flexible enough to play at 8 or wide. I expect a mix-and-match approach; Jakob, Coady, Doyle, and Wanya are all likely to play. It's a real shame that the likes of Braybrooke and Alves are match fit, as I would throw them in and see how they go.

Until the actual books for the 22/23 season published for us everyone are literally making assumptions.

Everton's first charge is for 21/22, not 22/23. So, the deductions this season are for that season. Their second charge is for 22/23, as is Forest, both of which have not yet been dealt with.

Not really as you are only counted as having a sporting advantage in the season you breach. (Everton was warned several times by the PL regarding expenditure on players prior to the breach) You have to remember that each season can be included into 3 x 3-year periods, so take the year we won the FA Cup 21 (Let's Forget COVID, making it a 4-year period for a moment). 19,20,21 20,21,22 21,22,23 We didn't breach in two or three periods, so how can't it be claimed that we had a sporting advantage in the 21 season. The only year in bold in which we can claim a sporting advantage is the year in bold, as we chose to breach the limit. We could have sold Maddison 40m, Barnes 40m, and Tielemans 20m, for example, that summer and not breached, but we chose not to weaken our squad, so that gave us a sporting advantage. Likewise, Everton chose to keep Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the 21/22 season rather than sell for 50m to be within the limit, so they breached and had a sporting advantage. They then chose not to sell players again to meet the limit for the 22/23 season and breached for a second time, so they had another sporting advantage. The breaches are treated as individual events, and you are charged for each actual season you breach the limit, rather than the period. This is why Everton is facing two charges, which people are struggling to understand as they occur during the same 3-year period.

Putting ourselves in a position were our amortisation per season was 70m + is a mistake, especially when you combine that with a wage bill of 192m. That's expenditure of just 262m against a revenue of 226m, a loss 34m before you add all the other expenses. I personally don't think we should have taken that risk, without a plan to migrate it.

Full planing wasn’t granted until December 2023, highly unlikely they were going to start work straight away. Also stadium financing and FFP isn’t straight forward and caused Everton issues in their case, it has to be done correctly. I’d also imagine they would make any changes to stadium configuration for safe standing at the same time as developing the stadium.
