I don't see how you spend 8m on Coady, 10m on Winks, 7m on Mavididi and 5m on Mads and 7m on Cannon 37m in the summer to be desperate for money in January. I also think we would have let the likes of Nacho and Ndidi go cheap. Add to fact we have cashed in on 150m worth of players in the last 2 seasons

I'd imagine Brighton have ask about his availability and have been put off by the price. Would be a record fee for Brighton.

I just don't see 30m being enough for us to blink. The number 8 role is massive in the system, no KDH, Wilf injured, Casadi recalled, Praet leaving. We would need 3 in, can't see it.

The fact his only fit for 8 league games doesn't help, of those he's had minutes in 5 games out of those 8. Also fit for only 1 Cup game that he also got minutes in. So he's had minutes in 6 out of the 9 games his been fit for. Hardly a mystery.

I thought until the sending-off it was a classical away performance: keep it tight and quieten the crowd; we restricted them to 2 shots on target and created the two big chances, the penalty and the Cascadi chance. Well the 2 pts against Ipswich were in Jan and December.The 3 against WBA were in Dec so so 40% of our points against the current top 7 have come in the last 2 month. Not sure the facts back up your point. Also we won at WBA with a great counter attacking goal.

Definitely one we should target, 4 goal contribution in a really poor Sheffield United is OK. He will have also had one season to find his feet in the PL.

I think he will be long then two weeks he spoke aboit I can see him being mid Feb.

It will be down to whether he will sign contact extension, he signed on a 5 year deal in the summer. So two season in the PL assuming we go up and stay up he will have 2 years left. Personally I'd be thinking of offering him an extension this summer or next.

Win the last 10 games we have taken: 1 less point the Southampton. 6 more then Ipswich. 1 more the Leeds even if you count their extra game tonight. I think people are underestimating our ability to take points.

So after Swansea at home we will have Daka and Fatawu back in the squad and hopefully Sensi completed. Things will be looking up on the squad front.

Which is fine as long as he goes for a decent fee, I think we have to be pragmatic about going back to developing players and sale them one big sell a season.
