The biggest issue with our style of play is the 8s. Total lack of quality, Casadei and Yunus have been poor, unable to beat a man, take the ball on the half turn or break the lines with a 3rd man run. Add to that Vardy's link up has been dreadful and coming short just compressing the 8s space. Vardy and Nacho have stunk the place out in terms of overall play last month or so.

Massive improvement in attacking areas, but we could have done a little more quality in the back line.

Lack of defense recuitment is going to be costly this season.

I think some people are over egging the attacking tools his has at his disposal. Whilst we have a good squad it really we are light in creative attacking midfield talent. Fatawu and Mcateer have limited experience at this level or any level with less then 50 apps between them. Casadei is in the same boat. Ndidi is a DM playing as a creative 8, Praet has been unavailable and Yunus is finding his feet in a new league. Which put a lot of pressure on Mavididi and KDH to create. We still have massive rebuilding job on our hands.

Play with fire you get burnt. We went in to administration because we were poorly run and suffered the consequences. Everton are poorly ran, they are now suffering the consequences. 6,342 business went in to administration in the first quarter of 2023, all of those would have resulted in hardship and people losing their jobs. Football needs to stop thinking its a special case, players can act likely they are above the law and morales world. Clubs can consistently lose money and be ran badly. Time for some tough love and get this in order. Everton are 3 on the list for club who have lost the most since the start of the PL. UK inflation since the start of the PL has been 94%, PL wages in the same time have gone up by 2561% If people can see that wrong and football has a problem, then you are part of the problem.

Developing nicely, last season we scored 15 goals in 22 games at 0.68 per game. This season we have scored 10 in 7 that's 1.42 per game. Last season we conceded 48 goals 2.18 goals per game, this season 1.87 so far. A bit more defensive reinforcement and we will have a good side. Fun to watch too. Last season was such a drag early on.
