Crazy to think we had on paper at least an attacking midfield trio of Fatawu, el-Khannous and Monga each saleable for at least £20million if not more, as a 2nd division team (appreciate el-Khannous is gone now). It's looking like Alves & Evans are are £10m+ players (going by McAteer sale) and similarly Nelson based on last season is likely worth at least that much if not more having that 'English defender' premium tax. Great job, maybe even (God forbid) a bit of praise going Rudkin's way

He is sapping morale from the squad. Imagine you're Braybrooke or Alves or Page or even BCR or any aspiring midfielder. And week in week out you see that nonsense on the pitch. It's not exactly going to put a firework up your backside. More likely it's going to make you question your own career choices. There is no doubt any one of those players would put in a performance AS CONSISTENTLY BAD as Soumare yet for whatever reason they aren't even allowed to prove that much, because management is living in hope that Ligue 1 Soumare will one day return, like a long awaited messiah descending from the channel. It's like Danny Ward. His fee was probably around £10 million. But he cost us at least one £100m relegation - not only for being poor in goal but also making Schmeichel believe begging for a new contract was a fool's errand with the club insisting they had a suitable backup. They called Schmeichel's bluff. And it failed miserably. Soumare is a disaster at Leicester. It doesn't mean he's a bad player elsewhere, just not suitable here.

This guy saps team spirit when on the pitch. He needs to be gone for his own sake. Nobody will buy him but he just can't be starting games. After half time fine but not starting. Sends a terrible signal to others especially youngsters.

Sitting behind the goal. Soumare should never ever ever play again. I've been of that opinion for every season now. Flashes of 'brilliance' are completely outweighed by the outsized affect he has on the team structure and spirit. Ayew does a great job at taking players out of the game and has been told to stay upright. But he's almost allergic to the 6 yard area or box in general. Meaning we have nobody at the end of those countless pumped balls into the area. Skipp I thought harried and chased but it was like watching a child at times. A far worse footballer than Choudhury at present. No idea what he was like in the past to justify that price tag. Massive credit to the Sheffield Wednesday fans. And their keeper made some crucial saves. They were the much better team in the first half and far more dangerous than us. Worrying it took a red card to make the breakthrough. Fundamentally the 2 pivots - Soumare and Skipp - made what should have been a comfortable game into a potential loss. Both need to sit on the bench until we have a comfortable lead and even then I'd be worried.

Seen as we are now Wrexham's feeder club I wonder if they would like anyone else - Soumare? Daka? All great players when playing under a media spotlight, perfect for Wrexham.
-
Skipp is giving me Rhian Brewster vibes. I don't know what the spurs sales person said or did but I hope they got a massive raise. We got robbed.

There is no way Ndidi and Mavididi don't start. Monga is a growing young man, throwing him into the rough and tumble of the Championship regularly is a terrible idea and likely to hamper his career. Similar Faes and even Vestergaard are very decent at Championship level. It's strike that is concerning, and squad depth over 40 odd games.

He's a young man, prematurely catapulted into leadership of a multi-billion dollar conglomerate after a tragic and very traumatic event. He was expected to fill the shoes of a man who'd spent a lifetime building canny political relationships in a country that's notoriously difficult to succeed in. He was shielded from much of it by his father, so much so his dad bought him an entire football club to keep him occupied, train him, protect him from the machinations of Thai politics and business. He struggled to step out of a huge shadow, not just his dad's but the success of 2015. And for a while it looked like he had - F.A. Cup, top 6 finishes, navigated Covid. He had a heck of a lot on all the various plates his dad was spinning and he was expected to continue spinning without breaking any. It was an impossible task. He's made strategic mistakes - in hindsight they'e easy to spot of course. He's had to grow up rapidly. Maybe he needs a break. Maybe a change in advisors. Maybe all of those. Maybe he's learned he needs help. If he has then good - stay - and put that hard-won wisdom to work. Otherwise it's time to let someone else have a go. There's no failure in knowing when it's time to walk.

Really boring stuff, will never make it. Never liked him at Leicester anyway. YOU CAN TAKE YOUR IDEA AND STUFF IT WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE. Who wants to win things anyway. You can have him and all the trophies you'll win Chelsea. I'm not bitter AT ALL.

"Soumare let off the hook there" 🫤 -
I would say fans will have an even bigger impact. They're really young, some still legally children, need to allow them the freedom to make mistakes too.

Did he miss out on an FA Cup medal as well? It's not his fault we took him to act as a practice cone. His career is probably done I don't know how he mentally recovers from this. It's an awful way to treat a person. Even as a bench warmer at Palace he would have got something out of it. This is like one of those major career turning points that ends up with a player going from promising to journeyman in the space of 18 months. -

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
moseeds replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
You have to wonder how Wolves were able to secure a very promising manager and we went for appointment by vibes... -
-
That's arguably a better attack than our last championship stint. But it needs a coach who has the ability use them. RvN isn't it
-
Well done lad! He's only a kid, let him have fun not be expected to make 30,000 grumpy gits feel better about their weekend!
-
People move towns to work minimum wage jobs. These guys are in their early years and can't even consider making suitable working arrangements. Fully back ruud on this and the next manager if they decide the same. Otherwise it's just normalising mercenary culture.
-
We are going for all the records aren't we. This team would lose to last season's Sheffield United, and probably get a draw against 9 point Derby.
-
Each extra game Ruud manages with us means another 3 clubs will never touch him with a barge pole ever again. It's viral. Much like Soumare's value dropping £0.5m every game he plays for us.

Obscene is the right word. I still think Danny Ward is the club's worst signing ever. For his initial fee + being directly responsible for preventing saveable goals in the '22 relegation, he's easily cost the club £120m + in lost earnings. Depending on how Skipp performs in the championship I think we might have a number 2 in the 'Leicester's most irresponsible signings' of all time league table.
