Other teams are probably well aware of how error-prone he is. Decent footballer and a good athlete, but switches off far too regularly to warrant a place in a top team. There's probably a reason we've never had a serious bid for him.

At the end of the day we have 1 point from a game we could easily have been 4-0 down in. We didn't really threaten Fulham or Villa that much. Not a great start.

Can't we just write him off and claim back the insurance?

I'm frustrated because with a more positive approach we could and should have got a point in both of the last two games. Neither Villa nor Fulham looked that great imho.

I wonder if Cooper has employed the classic 'new manager' tactic of going into a new club and trying to assert his authority by picking on a senior pro? If so, he's picked the wrong player.

Was all a bit huff and puff. Villa never looked too uncomfortable, even when we pulled one back. On a positive note, the new additions all did okay.
